Periodically, Pro et Cie catalogues are distributed to letter boxes in the area. Monsieur Delfau has a very hands-on approach to the business, and whenever we have ordered items, he has delivered and fitted them himself,although this may be because we have a house across the road from his mother! He offers excellent advice, and stocks a range of brands to suit most budgets, but a slight tendency towards brands generally considered more reliable and thus at average or above average prices. He does not discount prices, but doesn't charge for delivery. The appliances we have had from him have been reliable, with just the first purchase, a slightly downmarket washing machine, showing any strain over six years, and that involves a badly designed door hinge on the front-loader. Not the retailer's fault. He also re-aligned our satellite dish to receive UK programmes, and was prompt to come out to us when our cooker failed, and was happy to point out that the fault was simply a wire which had become bare and was shorting out on the case of the oven. He could easily have pretended that the fault was more serious. So, Basso Delfau are reliable, honest suppliers of household electrical appliances, but they will also carry out installation, maintenance and repairs.
