The short, portly, white haired, balding usher ignored my husband twice when he attempted to put offering in the basket. The stocky usher simply walked by ignoring him. As a lifelong Catholic from the Caribbean I have never encountered such flagrant rudeness and prejudice. My husband is white so he was obviously upset that my non-Polish, German husband was there with a non-white Caribbean. VERDICT - I would never step foot inside this church ever again, Polish folks are still as racist as ever. And You wonder why the Catholic Church is losing parishioners.

This morning on the way there, we ran out of fuel on the highway about a mile from the church. We walked the rest of the way. Everyone was friendly from the minute we walked up. We got signed in easily and went through the line to collect what seemed like a LOT of food of which we are thankful. When we were finished, a nice woman approached us asking if we were the couple who had run out of fuel. She had a gas can with fuel in it, her trunk open to load our food and gave us a ride to our car. Ms. Gwen, a lead pastor and who I now realize is a co-founder of the church itself went out of her way this morning and made what seemed like the worst morning, a whole lot better.
