As someone with 20+ years of experience in the service industry, I rarely write complaints, but I…read morefeel compelled to share my experience to warn others and ensure T-Mobile is aware of what's going on at this location. Bottom line: Do yourself a favor and avoid this T-Mobile Authorized Retailer. If you're in the Manalapan area, just take a short drive to Freehold and visit a corporate T-Mobile store instead. It will save you time, frustration, and potentially money. Here's why: On March 6, 2025, I visited this store, unaware that it's a third-party retailer (not a corporate T-Mobile location). The sales associate, Isaiah (Zay), sold me an iPhone under the impression that I was getting a 256GB model, but received a 128GB one instead. He also told me that there was a promotion for SYNCUP trackers making it sound as they were free--only to later find out there was a monthly fee. To make matters worse, Zay was wearing an earpiece blasting music throughout the interaction, which kept linking to the speaker which he kept apologizing for but kept happening again and again. When I returned to address the issue about the trackers Zay refused to let me return the SYNCUP and LIED saying he was not able to make the transaction, TWO separate times. I reached out to T-Mobile customer service, who confirmed Zay was wrong and even offered to report him. When I came back the THIRD time and I said that customer service said he was wrong he did the return as if nothing happened.. no apology, remorse, or accountability. I then visited the Freehold T-Mobile store, where the team (shout-out to Ashley and Christopher) quickly resolved all my issues with professionalism and empathy. It's clear that Zay's behavior--likely driven by commission incentives--was misleading and unprofessional. I strongly recommend steering clear of this location and going directly to a corporate T-Mobile store. T-Mobile should look into this store's practices and consider training or reevaluating their staff. Lastly, I hope Ashley and Christopher are recognized for their exceptional service. They turned my experience around and restored my faith in T-Mobile.

BON VONAGE! We had…read moreVonage home VoIP for about 7+ years. At first, it seemed like a smart move & decent price, solid service, and it did what it was supposed to do. Unfortunately, that version of the company appears to have retired years ago. What replaced it was a masterclass in charging more while delivering less: steady price hikes, declining reliability, poor value, and customer service so ineffective it almost felt performance art. The phone somehow managed to fail most when we actually needed it. I called multiple times and made it clear I was ready to cancel unless the issues were fixed. The response? Indifference. Most calls turned into a time-wasting combination of hold music, transfers, "can i place you on a two min hold and check what i can do for you?" x 7 and unresolved problems. Then, as a final punchline, they'd send an email asking me to refer friends and family for a tiny reward and rate the agent I had just spoken with. Bold strategy. I honestly don't know how they're still around. We finally canceled for good, and it has been one of the more satisfying administrative decisions we've made. I would never recommend them, never use them again, and if they were the last phone company on earth, I'd probably start sending letters.

I was drawn to Vonage because they advertise that prices start at $13.99 for a single line, which…read moreseemed like a great deal. But when I called to get set up, I was told that with taxes and fees, the monthly total would be between $26 and $30--more than double the advertised rate. I understand that taxes and fees exist, but this level of markup feels deceptive. If the real cost is over $25/month, then $13.99 is clearly not an accurate starting point. It's disappointing and feels like a classic case of bait-and-switch pricing. I expect more transparency from a company in the communications business. I ultimately chose not to go with Vonage because I value honesty and upfront pricing.
