Lucy & Guido made us feel right at home. We were on the last leg of our DC to Pittsburgh ride and Connellsville was our final stop before Pittsburgh. The day before started out in Rockwood was a chilly 38°. The morning we woke in Connellsville it was 31°. The breakfast that Lucy served up with the help of her apprentice Brittany was delicious. The beds were great, the hot showers were perfect. The rooms were clean and well appointed. While there were televisions in the rooms, it was nice not to turn them on and glow in the beautiful memories of the day on the GAP trail. Guido and his wife are so friendly and helpful. My bike riding buddy's kickstand broke on her bike and Guido tried to fix it, but ended up removing it for her which was perfect! They have a garage to store our bikes and charge them as we both have e-bikes. We stayed in the French Room which was perfect for two traveling buddies with two large twin beds. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was huge. This morning we were served an outstanding, delicious breakfast with potato pancakes, applesauce, eggs, ham, fresh fruit, etc. I highly recommend this B&B if you're biking the GAP Trail or just in Connelsville for whatever reason. read more

My friends and I did the Pittsburgh to DC ride and Connellsville was our first stop. We rode 61 miles in the rain and our bikes were filthy. They had everything we needed to get cleaned up. Guido and Lucy were wonderful hosts. The B&B was immaculate. The breakfast was delicious. Guido sat down with us while we ate and was great to talk to. He's lived an interesting life. The room was wonderful, with a really comfortable bed, and a nice sized bathroom. True to form it was immaculate. I found Connellsville Bed & Breakfast via AirB&B. I booked a room for two, since it is 15 minutes from Fallingwater (our reason for the trip). This quaint b&b is above a store front. There are several rooms to rent. Besides the separate bedrooms, there's a communal dinning room, a comfy seating area and a great outside covered patio, which we made good use of considering the weather was absolutely beautiful. Lucy is a wonderful, hospitable host. She was home to greet us when we first arrived. Gladly gave us all the needed info so we could feel comfortable and relax. She's been running her b&b for 9 years. I was so glad to see she already has a page on Yelp, and great reviews to accompany. Our room, The Italian, had two (what seemed) queen size beds, even though the airB&B description says "two twin beds". Nice bathroom, stocked with soap and shampoo, so need to bring your own. FYI, in our room, the shower curtain did not come to the floor; and, since their is no "lip" the water leaked out to the floor. I had to put down two extra towels to curb the puddling water. A heads-up, to just be aware. The big window in our room was also nice! Breakfast is (of course) part of the packaged deal. And, happy to say Lucy provided a lovely, very filling, spread. When we checked in, she did ask if we had any food restrictions, likes, and dislikes. Nope. Breakfast was her own rendition on Eggs Benedict. Hot and tasty. Oatmeal, fresh fruit, cereal, milk, fresh squeezed orange juice. It completely filled us up, and was the perfect start to the day! Yes, if you are traveling in the area, I highly recommend this be your place of rest! read more

This was a wonderful bed and breakfast. It is immaculate, well maintained, and comfortable. This is now our preferred place to stay when we ride the GAP. Guido does take a moment to get to know, but super helpful and knowledgeable about the local history once you get him talking. The breakfast is fabulous. Thank you Lucy and Guido for a great stay! Make sure you go to Ruvo's for dinner. If you stay make sure to ask for a room not facing the Main Street. It can be a little noisy. I wore ear plugs and played white noise and it was fine. My friends stayed in an interior room and they didn't have to wear ear plugs. They do have a secure garage for bike storage. You will love this place. read more

What more could we ask for? Quiet, clean and comfortable. This place is geared especially to travelers on the GAP passage. They have storage and repair space for bicyclists. We didn't require those amenities but we did see other guests using the facilities. Lucky to find the place had a room as it was very convenient for our trip. My girlfriend and I had a last minute opportunity for an overnight getaway out of Pittsburgh and she found this charming BnB. We stayed in the Slovak room which was spotless with king size bed in a large charming room. The GAP trail is just a few blocks away and an easy level walk along the River. There are sittings for breakfast 7 to 8:30. The owner Guido will ask the night. before any diet restrictions and/or any requests for breakfast. We said just bring it on with no restrictions and we were delighted with our banana pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, coffee and toast! We were asked if we wantEd anymore and declined. A sweet woman appeared and asked if everything was ok. Oh yeah..everything was great We will be back and jokingly said we would like to try all the rooms..Italian..Irish...and a couple more. What a convenient and pleasant place to stay. My wife and I biked in with friends. Convenient to trail and near a great little Italian restaurant. They had a wine and craft beer tasting room down stairs. Nuff said but wait there was the breakfast that was ample and fueled us for the day's ride. We enjoyed a night here during our bike ride on the Great Allegheny Passage trail. It is close to the bike path. The rooms are spacious and clean. Even with COVID-19 putting a damper on things, the owner (Guido) went out of his way to make us feel at home (as much as you can while wearing masks). There is a garage beside the house to park bikes in to keep them safely tucked away for the night. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. We really enjoyed this place. read more

Although I am not a biker this place was perfect for my daughter and I. We stayed in the French room and my only complaint was as the handicapped room the shower head was short. I m sure there are adjustable ones. Two beds were perfect, outside entrance was also perfect for us. Lots of little extras in the rooms.. Plenty of room,robes for our use. This was my husband and my first stop on our Pittsburgh to Georgetown bike trip along the GAP and C&O. We were greeted by the owners immediately upon our arrival, and they had a nice and secure garage where we could store our bikes. The place is in a great location, and we were able to find a nice little pizza place nearby which was still open despite it being 6PM on a Sunday. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy, and I appreciated that our hosts had made assorted sports drinks, soft drinks, and water available. They also had a coin-operated laundry machine available for our use. The breakfast the following morning was wonderful - Lucy made a beautiful meal with lots of variety. This was one of our favorite places to stay at on our trip, and we would not hesitate to go back or recommend this B&B to friends, family members, and other cycling enthusiasts. read more

Stayed here since my brother was riding the Great Allegheny Trail. Lucy met us at the door and showed us to our room. We stayed in the Italian Room, which has a queen and double bed. It's facing the main street (Crawford) but she provides earplugs, which is very thoughtful for light sleepers like myself. I didn't use them as the traffic quieted by the late evening. The room also has a sound machine where you can choose background noise to help you relax and/or sleep, like ocean waves, brook, rain, etc. The property is extremely clean, welcoming, and has many amenities to make the stay comfortable for both bikers and non-bikers. Hair dryer and toiletries are provided in the private bathroom. Also provided is a multi-port charger so we could all charge our phones at the same time. There is WiFi available along with live tv. They have a locked garage that bikes can be stored in and a hose that you can wash your bike with but we didn't use it. Breakfast was delicious. Many options offered from yogurt, cold cereal, muesli, orange juice, coffee or tea, and almond milk for those lactose intolerant folks. In addition, Lucy and Don then served pumpkin apple pecan pancakes, scrambled eggs, thick cut bacon, and fresh fruit. Overall a wonderful stay for the night. My husband grew up in the Connellsville area and we were recently back to visit family. We stayed at the Connellsville Bed & Breakfast and had an extremely lovely time. The room was clean and extremely comfortable with free wi-fi available. Lucy's homemade breakfasts, served every morning, were absolutely delicious.
