We booked a shuttle, paid and they never showed. We had to hire 3 taxis to get us from the Pantheon to the airport. Total scam. DO NOT trust or book with them. read more

The service is not what they advertise. I bought and paid for a private transfer from the airport to the hotel and back. The service was not private. I paid extra for a private transfer and we had other families with us in a van. I specifically asked for sedan for just my wife and I and the driver had a van and other people in it. When I contacted the company they were of no help and unapologetic. Worst shuttle service I have ever had. read more

I had read the reviews regarding Consorzio airport, shuttle prior to booking it on Expedia. Frankly, I was apprehensive, but the price difference for our transfer from a hotel in Rome to the princess cruise port in Civitavecchia with other providers was substantial. So, I took my chances and booked this. I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews. (Sabotage by the competition? Trip Advisor gives good reviews.) Note, that you do need to email all of your details which are outlined in the redemption instructions to the provider. I made sure to do that and to share my requested pick up time as well. The driver was there within 10 minutes of the noted pick up time. I recommend that you be at the pick up location which is right outside your hotel door at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick up. Also, check for any updates via whatever booking method you choose. You will be sharing the vehicle with other guests, which makes for a great conversation. Our trip was May 13, 2023. I booked it in January 2023 through Expedia. At that time it was approximately $44.50 per person. I would use the service again and I recommend it. Just be sure to do your part with the communications & provide all requested details via email and keep copies. Their email address is transfers.reservations@gmail.com read more

Do not use! We got the ride from Rome airport to the hotel ok. But, the directions on where to find the driver at the airport were very vague and not how we found the driver. But, on our return trip, we called to confirm the time from the hotel to the airport over 24 hours before. They gave a time frame of 4:30am to 4:40am. After waiting until 4:50am, we called a cab because it was over 30 minutes to the airport and we needed to be there to get thru security. I am glad we didn't wait any longer since we barely made it thru the long lines. When I called Expedia, they called the company and told Expedia that they showed up on time and we had left and they would not give a refund. I told Expedia that this was a lie and we paid Expedia so THEY owe us a refund. I was put on hold and after 30 more minutes, the phone cut off. JUST DO NOT USE! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR AIRPORT SHUTTLE The airport shuttle dropped me off at the wrong hotel and told me to get off the bus. I was lost, tired, and uncomfortable in country that was completely foreign to me. The reason I purchased the transport service was to avoid that. I then had to find and pay for a taxi (30 euros) to bring me to the correct hotel. THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU IF THEY F UP! read more

They sent two cars to the hotel after I prepaid for one to pick me up. The one that actually picked me up late by the way asked for 50 euros when we got dropped off. I called the company and they promised they would refund the 50 euros if I supplied them the receipt. When i got back home i emailed them and they did not reply to me or Expedia. Took a week to get a response and they denied the refund saying I was a no show. The customer service is appalling as the lady emailing me was extremely rude the whole time. Be aware and read the reviews. Lots of bad ones and they are all true. read more

I booked Consorzio Airport Shuttle Car direct through their Airportshuttle.it website. After shopping around on the internet, they had the best price for a group transfer for my wife & I from our Rome hotel to Fiumicino International Airport. The 'group' transfer means they may make more stops at different hotels to pick up other travelers- you can pay extra for a private transfer. The pickup time at the hotel was 8:30am and the driver wasn't at the hotel right then. I got nervous and called the customer service number. The nice guy who answered immediately called the driver who said he was a few minutes away. Sure enough, a couple minutes later, he came around the corner. I felt like an impatient jerk and later saw on the confirmation sheet to allow 15 minutes for traffic- oops! (at least I got to test the customer service which was excellent!) Once in the van, we picked up two more couples from different hotels- how that driver safely got through the narrow streets and Rome traffic is beyond me (he did a great job!). We all made it to the airport safely and with plenty of time to spare. I recommend this transfer service. read more

I booked their service through Travelocity and was paid in advance. Upon arrival we had to wait on the car to arrive and then shared a ride with one other couple - that made it 6 persons and 2 stops. I give kudos to the driver for making all the luggage fit. The nightmare was from hotel to airport. I called and made arrangements 24 hrs in advance as suggested. I was told our pickup would be 8:15 to 8:40. We were eating breakfast when driver arrived at 7:30. We asked for just a few minutes to go to the room and gather our luggage. Driver was very rude and would not give even wait 5 minutes. He left and we had to pay for a taxi to take us to the airport. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!! read more

I booked two rides directly with Consorzio via email: from Fiumicino airport to a hotel in central Rome, and from our hotel to Port Civitavecchia in October 2019. If potential customers are considering hiring this company, you need to be aware of the following: 1. Even though its web site clearly states it accepts credit cards, two of the drivers I had did not carry a Point of Sale (POS) machine, and I had to pay them cash. This is particularly important for American tourists to know, as they are used to paying by credit cards. 2. If you need a ride from Rome to Port Civitavecchia (cruise port of Rome), you must ask whether it has a special permit to enter the port to drop you off right outside of your cruise terminal. In my case, we did not know or ask beforehand, and we were not told it did not have one - otherwise we would have booked a different company. Therefore, you can imagine how shocked we were when the driver just stopped and dropped us and our luggage off by the road, requiring us to walk 50 yards towards a parking lot to catch a port bus to get to our ship. read more

Zero Stars - I paid this company in advance to pick myself and my granddaughter up on Monday morning 22/05/2018 near Piazza Spagna. They were supposed to pick us up at 6:50 am. I confirmed the pick-up twice the day before. We were at the curb with our luggage at 6:45 am. I emailed them 4 times between 7:05 and 7:30, with no response. I had to arrange a different way to get to the airport. The only reason we made our flight back to the USA was because the flight was delayed. Don't use this company. They are terrible and irresponsible. read more

Consorzio Airport Shuttle a.k.a. airportshuttle.it Consorzio airport shuttle, a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, at Fiumicino (Rome) airport sent us a no show and left us stranded on November 7, 2017, They claimed the driver had waited until 19:45. We arrived at the exit at 19:40 - but no driver holding up a sign with our name on it was in sight. The driver probably lied about the time he was there until, and probably found other passengers/suckers to take to Rome. Consorzio a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, has an escape clause on the Expedia voucher saying the driver would wait one "Cinderella" hour from the time the plane landed. Considering the size of the airport and the inefficiency of some of the services such as baggage retrieval, this IS A RIDICULOUS requirement. They also told us we should have called them if we were exceeding the one Cinderella hour. We did not turn on our stop watches as we went from the plane, to a bus, to passport control, and then to baggage retrieval. Consorzio airport shuttle, a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, at Fiumicino (Rome) did not provide a toll free number so that we could call them via Skype. Our home country phone plan does not allow for calls abroad. We always reactivate our Italian phone cards the day after we arrive. My email was open on wifi. If they were able to send me a no show and I was able to answer them by email, why didn't they send an email well before the Cinderella hour just to ask where we were? We paid Expedia in advance for the purpose of reaching our hotel. Consorzio airport shuttle, a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, at Fiumicino (Rome) exploited us. We paid Expedia for this service and then paid again at the airport when Consorzio put us on a shuttle for 45 euros - and not a private transfer. We paid TWICE. Is this some kind of scam or trick which Consorzio airport shuttle, a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, at Fiumicino (Rome) plays on other tired tourists arriving at the airport? We were told to stand aside and wait for a private transfer. In the end we found out this was another lie, and they put us on a shuttle which was not comfortable for 74 year old passengers. In addition to their other methods of exploitation, we learned that other passengers on the shuttle paid 20 euros per person while the driver demanded 22.50 euros from each of us (45 for the 2 of us). Expedia tried to help us obtain a refund, but Consorzio airport shuttle, a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, at Fiumicino (Rome) absolutely refused. Expedia claimed that this company was only a vendor listed on their site, and that Expedia was obliged to follow the one hour escape clause. Surely Expedia receives a commission from Consorzio for each ride paid for on their site. Why does Expedia allow this unscrupulous company to even be listed on their site? This can only mean a bad business practice on the part of Expedia. In the past, we had been customers with airportshuttle.it over the course of many years and used both their airport shuttle and private transfer. I had spoken a few times on the phone with Giorgio (whose position at the company I am unfamiliar with.) We travel to Italy twice a year, but Giorgio and his fellow exploiters at Consorzio airport shuttle, a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, at Fiumicino (Rome) have unfortunately lost our business. I hope those who read this entry will be forewarned. read more

My travel agent booked this car service for us. We were to be picked up at the Rome airport and driven to our hotel. When we arrived in Rome, it took us over an hour to get through customs and the our luggage had not arrived. We were trying to get someone to help us with this and by the time we got this rectified, the car left; understandable. However, when I called them to ask about sending another car, the very rude woman on the phone refused. She said they had no cars available. This is an airport shuttle company!!! You can't tell me they don't have anymore cars. I begged her to send a car but she told me to take a cab. That cost me $48. Plus they got paid. Never again! read more

DON'T!! Booked a pickup from our hotel online before we left the US. Never did receive a confirmation though they did bill our credit card. Very difficult to contact to confirm our pickup. They don't appear to have an email address and it took 10 tries to get through on the phone. Then the car didn't show up. It was 4am and we had non-refundable tickets. Fortunately, we were able to get a cab and get to the airport in time. Book with these folks at your own risk. read more

I booked Consorzio airport Shuttle service through Expedia. From our hotel in Rome ,Italy to Civitavecchia port for our Mediterranean cruise. The prize was reasonable and the service was punctual. It is shared shuttle , so it picks up more passengers . My suggestion is once reservation made, be sure to email them again a day or two to confirm the exact pict up time. read more

I booked this service directly thru Travelocity and honestly what a mistake that was we booked the round trip pick up and drop off. When we arrived we waited for about 1.5hours for our driver even though they advertised that their services runs every 30 min and they lady at the counter was not very helpful she kept saying in 10 min and like I said it turned into an 1.5 ordeal. Then on our hotel pick up we called and were told a certain time and then the morning of departure they call and say that they will probably be late because of traffic?? Honestly we don't know what the usual traffic flow of Rome is but that's their job to make sure to get you from point A to point B without a problem long story short we were late and missed our flight forced to stay over night book another hotel find a way there it's been quite the nightmare and I caution you do not use this service! They have no regard for your time and customer service is not part of their mantra proceed with caution...... read more
