My wife and I went to Japan last year and wanted to learn some basic Japanese to get by on our…read moretrip. We were trying lots of different methods to learn: a group class, apps on our phones, a TV show to teach Japanese to English speakers, audio tapes. When our group class had finished, we still wanted to be able to learn more before our trip. Inlingua is not far from my office, so I decided one day to ask about getting tutoring. Our trip was coming up in two months, and we really wanted to be able to have basic travel conversations and read at least some of the signs we would see in Japan. We set up a few tutoring classes for just my wife and me, and started practicing for our trip. Our teacher really helped us improve our reading skills, and she walked us through typical conversations we might have on the trip. When we arrived in Japan, we were able to get by surprisingly well. We even found out about a Japanese-language behind-the-scenes tour at a museum because the receptionist thought our Japanese was good enough to take it! By the time we came back, we knew we definitely wanted to go back to Japan in the future, and that it would be great to be able to speak and read more Japanese when we did. We wanted to learn the language in greater depth, so we now go to our tutoring classes twice a month, and we're getting better and better. The personal attention helps us learn quickly, and gives us the opportunity to slow down to get more help with tricky concepts, and move forward when something is easy. They have a number of other languages besides Japanese, of course: Spanish, Italian, French, Chinese, and probably more. If you're traveling and want to get a personalized introduction to a language, I would definitely recommend Inlingua.

The Princeton Chinese School has been renting the beautiful, manicured and spacious campus of the Princeton Day School on Sundays. There were a playground and canteen. The Princeton Day School is a private school. The principal Anne W., the academic Director Nan Y. and the Calligraphy teacher Greg T. have been efficient, flexible, friendly and customer-oriented. Their website is detailed and informative. You can register a child per semester or for the full academic year.

I grew up in Montgomery the neighboring town to Princeton and went to high school there. At the time our graduating class only had 87 kids and it was excellent. Many kids in our neighborhood played hockey at PDS and a few of the kids attended this school. I recently attended a charity function here at PDS and it was a great experience. What a fantastic turn out and well run event that was attended by the faculty and parents. You can tell that it is a very tight community of very high quality people. If I had a child and the money I certainly would love to send my child to a beautiful school like this.
