He basically handed our entire case over to opposing counsel, dropping the ball on several important motions, waiting several months to even enter any orders, including the order that mattered most. Waited 8 months to inform us that certain records were unavailable to us after he ensured us that he would be able to obtain them. And after I informed him that he was no longer our attorney in our case, he waited over 2 months to officially enter the motion to withdraw counsel. How is this guy even allowed to "practice" law? He's an absolute joke and should only be considered for hire if you want to lose your case.

Allen and Abary billed me roughly five times what my wife's attorney charged her. His retainer was…read more2000 but special case for me was 5000. There are bogus charges such as spending a half hour to look over her witness list. There were no witnesses. Mr. Allen never contacted my ex wife's legal representative to negotiate anything on my behalf (confirmed) I worked out all the details, then at the arraignment he started "negotiating" so he could charge more(confirmed). The process took 25 minutes his "negotiation" took 3 hours. That tactic resulted additional money for her legal fees. There are reviews that say he's biased to the women. Based on his "negotiating" I would say is very true. The women seem to think he's great in their reviews, but they're creepy and unprofessional innuendos. He also tried to convince me it was better for the state to garnish my wages. I'm guessing he makes a percentage(unconfirmed). He stretched and wrung out every possible cent he could from me. I never felt as though he had my best interest. Janie his paralegal is extremely blunt with a sharp attitude. She makes you feel like you're some sort of troublesome chore. I wanted to fire him but then I would have to pay some other retainer fee. It was 14000 altogether. My wife spent 2500. She won. You tell me. Shop around this guy is not in it for you. Start you with one attorney (female) then they change you to the many guy (Gomez) who says that they are going to due this and that. Then they change you to the other attorney Michael with letting you know what they are doing. Then you have to go and tell them what to do for you relative. Had to change attorneys and the new one she is working for my relative hard the way Gomez should of. Had to repay for service that were not given to us.
