    What a joke. This place honestly should be closed for being crooks! My husband and I JUST arrived…read moreto Italy and were kind enough to be shuttled around by our sponsors...however...during the weekends we were stuck at our hotel and often times we needed a car to get to places for appointments and what not. So we wanted to rent a car. After a huge headache with the airport rental car agency we then went to EUROPCAR on the Support Site...somewhat smooth transaction ($600 for 3 days)...then we get the car. They say that the car is CLEAN and has NO DAMAGE. Well...when I got to the car it looked like 5 toddlers were living in it...food EVERYWHERE and it smelled of cigarettes. Then there was a huge scratch on the side of the car. I took a picture of the damage and the interior and told them I was not paying for this. They said that was fine as long as I had proof of the damage. Thank goodness I did. Then Monday rolled around and I arrived at work at 6 a.m. (Capo base) and my husband went to drop off the car. The car rental does not open until 9 a.m. so he waited. He did some shopping at the commissary and then at 10 a.m. he went to the rental car place to drop off the keys to the car. The sign on the window said "Be Back at 11:45"...we had to return the car NLT 1300. My husband (at this point furious) decided that he would wait...and wait...and wait... with nobody showing up. Finally by 12:30 he had to catch the bus and wanted to ensure that we were not 'late' dropping off the car. He had the sense to film himself "with a time stamp" putting the keys into drop box. At around 5:30pm I get a call saying that our car had not yet been turned in. I explained the situation and she basically called me a liar. I said "excuse me, but the car is out in the parking lot and the keys are in the drop box" She explained that the drop box was for AFTER HOURS ONLY. At this point I was furious and responded "the person IN the rental location was GONE during OPERATIONAL HOURS so my husband filmed himself putting them in the drop box." She said she would call back and see if the car WAS in fact in the parking lot AND if the keys were in the drop box. She called back at 5:50 and said that they were but they had NO PROOF that he dropped them off at that time. I asked her where I could send the video showing my husband putting the keys in the drop box and showing that it was time stamped as well. She gave me the phone number and we promptly sent them to her. 6pm rolls around...I desperately call the EUROPCAR to see if they got our text. 6:30PM rolls around and still no response. At this point we are furious. THEN here comes the cherry topping on top of this crapalamode...she sends my husband a text at around 7pm saying that the video was NOT time stamped and to consider this a warning that they will not charge us THIS TIME ONLY for this incident. It took ALL the power within me to NOT go down there the next day and say that first of all...what kind of business advertises hours when they are not there...and then says that we have been warned that fee will be waived this time only. EXCUSE ME...I paid 5x's the amount...so YOU WILL accept the fact that we are being honest and made the HONEST effort to drop the car off when necessary. Do all yourselves favors and DO NOT GO HERE. They are the biggest joke and are rude jerks.

On the second day two warning lights came on and then a little later the air conditioner stopped working. It was 90 degrees! Pulled into a gas station but they could't do anything. I called the company and was told not to worry about it. I told them i was bringing the car back the next day. Had to cut my trip short 2 days and it was a hot miserable ride back. I immediately sent an email to corporate saying I was not going to pay for that car. After several emails they said they could not do anything. I disputed it with my credit card company but they said they could not dispute the days I used the car. Needless to say, I would NEVER use Europcar again!!!
