Like every single gym out there, it has a social factor so members chat with each other and you will see Bob socializing when he isn't in the ring coaching someone or running drills with a small group. I have NEVER witnessed any inappropriate behaviour towards female members. Bob has shown me nothing but respect. He also has a witty sense of humor which adds to the energy of the gym. As far as the size of the gym goes well it's not kept a secret prior to you making the decision to join. Every gym has their own set of rules and it's your responsibility to ask tons of questions before handing over your cash. You have to be self-motivated and disciplined if you want to benefit from the SugarRay's experience. For those of you who want towel service, keep on walking . . this ain't no spa!

For a person who has tried a couple of the franchise boxing gyms in Vancouver - I had the wind knocked out of me a little bit - but in a great way. I found the instructors to be invested in improvement, technique, and structure from the beginning. I genuinely felt like I took away something from that class, and I find that quite rare for fitness classes. Not only have me and my husband become "regulars" to our standards, but we have also been able to genuinely build a passion for boxing through these classes. Every instructor is passionate about how they teach, what they teach and how you are progressing. I have lower back issues and multiple times, from other regular comers, professional boxers that compete and attend the gym and the instructors, I have gotten so much advice on how I could help with that pain and strengthen my muscles. They were very beginner friendly and the instructor is very hands-on and nice. I like that he corrects your form and gives you advice on what to improve on. They said it was a management issue. when I got there they were able to take me out of the system right away, which made it clear that they ripped me off. at the class the instructor frowned upon me because I dared add to the lesson a personal comment based on my experience in other martial arts training I had before, which made me very uncomfortable to keep training there.
