But since they both suffer from arthritis, I thought it would be nice to give them the Gift of Cinderella. No, that doesn't mean glass slippers or pumpkin coaches, or a house full of rodents. I decided that they would appreciate it if someone came over to help give them a hand cleaning the kitchen and three and a half bathrooms. I met with the owner, Cheryl, and felt right at ease with her. She told me that she could send over two people for a couple of hours per month and that would help out my parents greatly. Thinking it would only be short-term, we've used Cheryl and the team for over two years now. My parents just love their service! That, and they appreciate seeing some other faces than family over. I had to tell Dad I'm paying them to clean, not to chat. He can chat at church or when he goes to Costco or Sam's Club. The Personal Touch Maid Service is bonded and fully insured, and they've been in business for over 30 years. So yes, I trust them. Going with Cheryl and her team was one of the best gifts I've ever given my parents. Too bad they don't have a location out here in MN, or I'd use them for my condo!

The two women who showed up to clean were efficient and got right to work. They listened while I explained what we needed and they seemed to complete everything we asked for. I have never used a cleaning service before, so I don't have much to go on, but it seems like the things they did a really good job on were baseboards, windowsills, and kitchen (stovetop, refrigerator, and sink). Their website talked a lot about dusting and patio door cleaning, but I found those two particular areas to be a little bit lacking (dusting incomplete and lots of streaks on doors). While I felt they did a good job with the surface cleaning, the deep cleaning and polishing were not quite what I expected. I will say this, our linoleum floors were very dirty from movers and the moving process. They likely had to spend a lot of time on the floors and this may have compromised their ability to "polish" as they normally would. I do have to go back over some things before we move out, but all-in-all I felt it was worth the money. If you're looking for a really deep clean, I would probably make sure you book them for sufficient time and make sure they bring products that can accomplish more than just a quick cleaning. I would probably use them again in the future and probably will contact them for ongoing work at our new home.

I hired them to paint my living room, kitchen, loft, and addition. Their work was so bad that the Small Claims Court ruled in my favor against them (and as of the writing of this, Tyler Pate and Jeremy Nosbush still owe more than $800 that they refuse to pay). If you did/do hire them and they are attempting to intimidate you into paying for sub-standard work, feel free to contact me directly. You can read my story below. Tyler and Jeremy, the owners of Eastside Painters, are dishonest. They did not use a single product that they bid for the job. They downgraded the wall paint quality, didn't use the same line of ceiling paint, and didn't use any primer (despite several accent walls that were dark colors). They did all of this without giving me any notice or seeking a change order of any sort. It wasn't until I was preparing for court that I was able to determine the lengths to which they went in breaching their contract. In addition to the dishonestly of corner-cutting on materials, Eastside Painters does poor quality work. They caused thousands of dollars of damage to exposed ceiling beams in two rooms. Their prep work (covering small holes and defects) was so sloppy that even they had to admit in court that they would not have accepted their own work. They lied about having done two coats of paint (which is what they bid) and were reprimanded on it in court. Finally, Tyler and Jeremy are vindictive. When I refused to pay their full invoice--offering to pay the invoice minus the cost of repairing the property they damaged--they engaged in a systematic campaign of intimidation and threats to try to get paid. They put a lien on my house, not to exercise their right to use a mechanics lien but as an attempt to intimidate me into paying the full invoice. When I refused to comply, they threatened to have felony charges brought against me (which they have no authority to do). When that didn't work, they called and/or emailed organizations I work or volunteer with and told outright lies about me in an attempt to get me removed from those organizations. Their threats and intimidation did not work on me, and if they are trying similar tactics against you, feel free to contact me directly.

Our insurance agent asked Weatherproof Exteriors to inspect our roof for suspected hail damage…read more Bill Long was polite and professional. He inspected the roof, showed me pictures, interpreted all he found, and walked me through the insurance claim process. He found more damage than the first inspector from another roofing company. Once a claim was filed Bill brought out samples of tiles, and explained how they would upgrade our roof to code. They were here within a week and completed 40 square in one day. We even had a visit by the big boss to see how it was going. After the job, the yard was left clean and free of nails. Bill came back out and inspected the area as a last action. We were extremely pleased with the whole process and service provided by this company. I would highly recommend them!

I found quite a few options in addition to Top Star so requested many quotes. Top Star responded quickly and gave us a in person estimate. They have very competitive pricing and all the right special equipment for vacuuming and deep cleaning. We picked them to start on the basement for my Moms house and happy we did. They somehow got the old toilet with many stains very clean like new. Also able to vacuum up all these bugs / spiders stuck in the sides and corners of the basement carpet. Beware of these guys. They go by Peak Roofing Team and That's My Roofer.com They came recommended…read moreby my insurance company, State Farm. First, two words.. Cheap labor. Sure, they finished my roof in a day, but they left starter shingles hanging from the edge of the roof and junk laying around. They said they would return to fix the roof and remove the junk. That was over a month ago and there's still a pallet in my back yard with their junk on it. They damaged the side of the house when they propped sheets of plywood against it and almost broke a window (I had to tell them to move it). My house was built in 1922 and has an exposed overhang to the roof. Instead of making sure they stapled the plywood over the beams so the staples wouldn't show, they took the lazy way and just shot them where ever. Now it looks like the whole underside of roof was peppered with a shotgun. The owner assured my they would clip the ends of the staples and he would paint the damaged areas. A guy came and didn't clip all the staples and the owner decided to contract the painting out to another company. Well, they contracted out the gutters to be installed as well. The job on the gutters is even worse than the roof so I wasn't about to let the owner pick another low budget contractor to work on my house. Bottom line in my opinion, they could care less about how your roof looks. They only see it as a job that they have to hurry up and finish so they can get to the next one. The people that actually do the work have zero pride in their work and my house as a whole looked better before they worked on it. I look at my house now and regret that I picked them.
