The drywall repair was lumpy which means they didn't sand the drywall compound down correctly. The…read morepaint job they did over the new drywall was poor as well. I also had a stair railings repair "completed" with them. The actual repair was done correctly, but they didn't repair the holes where they put the new screws well at all. The putty the used to fill the holes wasn't flush with the banister. And the subsequent paint job was poorly done as well. When I called to complain all they said there was nothing they could do as it wasn't listed on the quote. Even though I emailed them the text conversation I had with the handyman confirming that he would patch and paint with no additional costs as long as I got the paint. The said they would follow-up with the manager about it. Then I never heard back from them. Very disappointing service all around. DO NOT USE!!!!

I have had Handyman Connection in a couple of times to do a few home repair jobs and they have…read morealways been done on time to the required level of quality. How things have changed. I had the $200+ lesson of a lifetime. And so I say, do not use them for electrical work. On June 13, I had an electrician from their group in to install a ceiling fan. The job was estimated at an hour. The electrician phoned that morning and asked if he could come an hour earlier than planned. I'm glad I agreed because this installation took over 2 hours and in the end I had to ask him to leave with the light unit still not working (it flickered like a candle). I work at home some days and so left him to his work while I did mine. About 20 minutes in he called me to show me that the light cover was cracked. I instructed him to go ahead and install the unit and that I would take the cover back to Cdn Tire and get a replacement. I had to argue with him as he was sure I wouldn't get a replacement cover without returning everything. I came down a while later (it had now been an hour) to find the packed up box at my front door and him telling me he was going to his van to have lunch. I told him again and more directly to install the unit and forget the cover. Again, after much discussion he FINALLY agreed. Another hour later it looked like he was done. First, nothing worked (I had the brainwave of recommending he check the panel to see if he had turned the power back on). Then, the fan worked but the light flickered. After he did some troubleshooting, I told him to go. I paid the bill and started looking for another electrician. The electrical service person I had was prompt, friendly and had the issue identified and resolved in less than an hour (seems when Handyman decided he had to remove the dimmer from my wall; switch, he didn't follow the instruction to bypass the dimmer in the light's wiring). That was a hard lesson to learn and was made all the worse by the Handyman Connection's management doing NOTHING when I called to tell them what had happened. I will NEVER, EVER, EVER use this company again.
