Had an awesome experience here! We ordered two pizzas--the pepperoni (with what seemed to be real fresh sliced pepperoni) and Matt's Favorite. And they came out incredibly fast. We were digging into hot, delicious wood-fired pizza within minutes. My son absolutely devoured his entire pizza, which says everything. Everything tasted so fresh! Good beers..really liked the Fresh Hop IPA. Service was solid. Good atmosphere. Had poppers for a snack and they were uniquely delicious.

This place had pretty good reviews so I figured I'd check it out while in town for the night. I've worked in restaurants for the last 4 years front of house and back of house so I feel I generally understand how things go. However, I was pretty disappointed with everything here. First of all, there were more employees than customers yet I noticed only one lady actually working and everyone else was standing behind the bar chatting. The food took a while even though there were only two other tables at most. It was pretty disgusting when it came out. My friend got a wrap that had grey chicken and soapy tasting spring mix. The pizza we got was undercooked and the crust was thin and soggy. We also witnessed a table next to us ordering a cocktail that had expired fruit juice in it and the customer said it was inedible. We also heard one of the cooks in the kitchen say "ew what is that should I throw that away" and the other cook said no.. so not sure what that was about. I must be honest every so often I go back to this place because of the limited options here in town, and I give it a try- the menu continues to be just underwhelming enough that I cant recommend- even the wood-fired pizza is nothing special and it should be! Loaded wedges are tasty but pricey. I went this last Saturday, and despite their normal operating hours, they didn't open till five and then only had what looked like one server and a cook- server was running around like crazy, quite flustered and while doing her best could not keep up. The tiki-style cocktail i tried for something new was mostly ice and bland. Sigh- if i just wanted to chug for beers with friends then this is a place for that (if they are not too busy) but for the full experience I don't recommend. read more

Conversion Brewing was my first brewery I paid a visit to when I was visiting the Lebanon and Albany area a while ago. I stumbled across a beer festival in this town as well. I wasn't really thinking of going to this festival but a very kind gentleman (who I believe worked here) gave me his which was so generous! Definitely appreciated it! The atmosphere here is fun but was very busy since of course the brewery festival was going on. I didn't get any food here but the pizzas looked very promising! For the beer that I tried here... it was the single hop pale ale. A very nice, crisp and light beer which was perfect for the warmer day that it was. I've never written a review of any business on Yelp. I was in Lebanon, Oregon for a industry training, which, said company, took us to Conversion Brewing for dinner and libations. The beer and food was all good, but I was shocked by the service. As a corporate event, they took all attendees via van with designated drivers. The waitstaff and bartenders were to say the least, annoyed with the 30 person group from the get go even though they knew we were coming. This had long been planned. There was an attitude from the get go. Listen, I get that as a local in a small town, you're annoyed with a large group of "outsiders" rolling in and essentially taking over your establishment but this corporate event paid more in tips than they make in half a month of tips, and the sales generated, by a large, local international company, spending their money at this brewery, was probably more in food and drink sales than they get in two weeks time. At no point was our group unruly or out of hand. If that was the case, I wouldn't Ben be complaining. I went to order a beer, my 4th in 2 1/2 hours and one of the two bartenders with attitude, informed me we were cut off, as a group. I wasn't even trying to charge it to the company that out this event on for us, but was happy to pay my own bill. Still cut off. I was dumbfounded. I've never seen such a distain for paying customers. As we were back in our van, driven by a sober driver, one of the attendees informed us that the waitress said "thanks for ruining our Tuesday night". Again, dumbfounded at the absolute distain for paying customers. I'll give it two stars just because the food and beers were good and props to the cooks for banging out a lot of pizzas for our large group. read more

They do Belgian styles and they do them well! Their food menu is super compelling with standard pizza, wing, and nacho/quesadilla/salad stuff. Ask yourself this: why do you visit a brewery? If its for any other primary reason other than beer, than please reevaluate your life. Go to a brewery to try their beers! First and foremost. This is where Conversion kills it. They have a great selection of beer, cider, and even a seltzer or two on draft. Lots of options like belgians and stouts that most breweries steer away from. 5-stars given as a fan of beer. Seating in the building is fun with reclaimed wood and metal fab everywhere. There is also some outdoor seats available in a shared commons area where (it appears) community events happen like bands playing music. Service from our bartender wasnt stellar, but ok. Food was edible and ok. Actually, the wrap my wife had kind if sucked. The chicken was cold and i think had freezer burn. My burger was ok. Will come again, but just for the beers. read more

Went Conversion Brewing for a St. Patrick's day meal of corned beef and cabbage. These folks have no idea how to properly cook either corned beef or cabbage. The cabbage was so over cooked that it had the consistency of something slimy that you didn't want eat. The corned beef was flavorless (75% fat) and was missing the traditional spices one would expect. This place makes one the best wood fired pizzas I've ever had and great beer. They need to stick to what they are good at because their corned beef and cabbage was garbage!!!! read more

So the family and I came here on family fun night with another couple and their kids as well. They have a very cool kids play corner with table and games and magnetic blocks. A very nice selection of beer on tap. Had some garlic cheese bread while we hung out for a bit. Service was great and the place has cool vibe, the food was yummy but we did not eat much(but very much looking forward to our next visit. Cause they have a big wood fire pizza cooker!! I don't know where to begin. I guess, the beer! Coming from SoCal, the land of microbreweries, Conversion has to enter the race - they just might win, too! I find myself at a loss for words to describe my experience because it was so unique and so ... GOOD! There is a beer for everyone, it's not all hoppy IPAs. And they even have homemade sodas (non-alcoholic). The sodas are not too sweet, the root beer tastes like my childhood, and the orange cream soda takes me back to the ice cream shop days. The food - finally!!! A place that does Jalapenos poppers right! Not fried, but cooked in the wood-fire oven. Everything is cooked in the WF oven + no grills. The pizza dough is fabulous (especially when cooked into a pizza on the WF oven, lol). I wish we had another day here to try other dishes. I had planned to meet a friend for dinner and a motorcycle ride, and got here a little early. I ordered my food and paid inside, then went out to the awesome outdoor dining area. I found a table within sight of my motorcycle (that is a MUST!) that hadn't been bussed yet, but I figured I'm not too picky, and someone will eventually get it cleaned up. So I started flipping through my Instagram, and occasionally fielding questions and compliments about my motorcycle. There were about a dozen customers out there. After about 15 minutes, a waitress grabbed the previous customer's plates and glasses, but left the mess of crumbs on the table, so I went inside, grabbed a couple of napkins, and cleaned up the table myself. Back to Instagram and my half-empty glass of iced tea... After half an hour, I was starting to get really hungry, but hey, I'm a patient guy. I also noticed I hadn't seen a waitstaff person out there for quite a few minutes. Oh, well... my food will be here any minute. There was about a half-inch of iced tea left in my glass. 50 minutes after ordering, I decided that if it went to a full hour, I would go inside and politely ask for a refund. One last sip left in my glass... I realized that the place wasn't exactly bustling with customers, so the few of us that were there patronizing a great local business should be getting stellar service. My receipt was being held down by my near-empty iced tea glass, so I couldn't help but notice the time I had placed my order. I was starting to get hangry. At 59 minutes, I was preparing to execute my exit strategy, but the waitress suddenly showed up with my dinner! I thanked her, but she didn't notice me holding my glass out for a refill. I got one last swig during my dinner. My dinner that was cold. Nothing like cold tacos... with freaking olives. And olives are not authentic with tacos. I hate olives. Horrible service ans only three tables occupied. Only server would rather go look at $600 dollar Subaru an employee got and forget about a simple old fashion for over 10 mintues, as my boy and I watch the server chit chat with employees and be on her phone behind the bar. Meh... Pizza isn't bad, that's the problem. If it was better than the 'cook a pizza at home' business, it's worth it. The crust is made with their own beer. OK, great, then don't burn it. When I cook it myself, getting a burnt crust, in my home is known as my "second" favorite crust, because of my kitchen skills. When I order two pizzas from a restaurant (with two other people) I need them both to be my first favorite. Only one was. Don't get me wrong, their beer isn't bad, it is expensive though, but if you are going to market your beer in a restaurant, you need to make especially good food as well. It just wasn't there. I seriously felt like I could have cooked a better couple of pizzas at home for a huge amount less, plus, filled a growler a couple of blocks away (noticeably cheaper, same level of quality). Loved how friendly and knowledgeable our bartender Jonathan Sterling was. His attentiveness to our questions showed he really cares about the customer experience which speaks high of not only of a persons character but also the establishment which itself was homie and spacious to boot! Food wise I would say my favorite was the loaded wedges followed by the garlic knots! The wings where also pretty good. My drink of choice was the barley wine! I am not sure how I went so long without writing a review! Back right before Covid was a thing, we threw my dads birthday here. You all did an EXCELLENT job hosting! Before that, we threw many a work gathering here. My daughters love wood fire pizza. And I mean, really, who doesn't? Fresh ingredients make all the difference. We order take out from you often since. I love my jalapeno poppers. I honestly have ordered just jalapeno poppers for lunch and been a happy camper! I love that they are not breaded. The sweet of the cream cheese mix and the salty of the bacon make the PERFECT combo! My husband love the offerings on tap. I could eat the garlic knots all day! My wife and I stopped by Conversion a couple of times on a recent visit to Lebanon, once for beer, and once for pizza (and more beer!). First time was on a Friday night, and the place was comfortably busy. Second time was Sunday afternoon, and it was a bit more chill. Both visits were good - service was really friendly. On Sunday they were up-front and apologetic that there would be a bit of a wait for food due to short staffing and a couple of big groups - it took a little while but was no big deal, and I appreciate that they let us know as soon as we arrived.
