    This is the "Big" double
    Eugene W.

Service was quick and polite. The burger tasted good the fry's were okay, and the milk shake was a milk shake. I ordered the "big" double allegedly their largest hamburger. I don't think I've seen a smaller hamburger since I was ordering off the kids menu 60 years ago. It was so small, that when I was handed the box it was in I checked to make sure there was actually a burger in the box. I Will likely go there again but only for a milkshake.

We use to drive to the Cook Outs in North Carolina on the way to the mountains. Now they are in Tallahassee it's so rewarding. I usually do the drive thru but today I sat inside with my bride. The staff was cleaning non stop. The place is spotless and the food is consistent in taste. No, it's not a higher price burger but it's a Saturday after a hard day working in the yard good. I'm happy they are here!

The milkshake is a highlight, particularly the strawberry cheesecake flavor, which was notably rich and enjoyable. While the burger was satisfactory, I plan to return to explore more of the menu once the initial rush subsides. I recommend visiting shortly after opening for the optimal experience.

An old favorite just made its way to Tallahassee! I've been missing and craving Cook Out ever since I moved to Florida, so I couldn't wait to check out the new spot. I've already been twice since they opened, and both visits have been solid. I usually order the grilled chicken sandwich (regular chicken tray), but I was surprised to see they're serving crinkle-cut fries here. Must be a Florida twist, because that's definitely different from the NC locations I'm used to. Aside from that change, the food tastes just as I remember, and the milkshakes are still thick--something I was a little worried about but happy to see they kept consistent. Because of the location, I'm glad they had plenty of staff outside directing traffic, and the team was quick with getting orders out. The inside is nice, but there isn't much seating, so plan your visit accordingly. When it's busy, it's definitely not ideal to park on-site. Overall, great to have Cook Out in Tallahassee--feels like a taste of home.

This place is hyped up for no reason. The fries are very hard, and unseasoned. Coleslaw was BAD. Burger was ultra greasy and nasty.

Cheap food, cheap quality. You pay for what you get, can't complain but can't applaud.

There is indoor and outdoor seating and a small bar area. The bar had a few people there. We looked over the accesible menus and ordered a classic and a shroom with sweet potato fries to share and two drinks. We went off to get our drinks from the dispensing machine, hubby got an Arnold Palmer and I wanted a Diet Coke, but the machine only dispensed brownish looking water instead of soda. I opted for black tea with a splash of lemonade instead. We chose a booth to sit at and the wait was about 10 minutes to get our fries to come and 10 more minutes to get our burgers. The food was good and even though the size of the burgers seemed on the smaller side we were totally satisfied. The fries were the best of it all, scrumptious and delicious with a slightly spicy dipping sauce. The price tag for the meal was $50.00 with the tip, a bit pricey in our view. The place wasn't loud, but the music playing was really indescifrable like we read in the reviews. There was no rhyme and rhythm to it. Hopdoddy burger bar is a nice place to eat, we liked the food.

The best I can describe it, is that it has a retro-craft feel. I really dig it. Food comes out quick and is excellent. Bar tender and staff is friendly and chill. You can taste the cooking oil is kept clean, and is changed often by the fries and the smell. You can taste the food is made to order with real food. They also have cool events all the time. Like a poker night, and trivia night. I think the poker nights are Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm and 8pm. It's a little hard to find, tucked behind another building, just off the main road. Carful parking the little lot in the back, they have a massive pot-hole thing... just go real slow. Always seem to meet the most interesting people there. Nelson's Burger Bar is the "misfit island of toys" of the burger scene. Infact "scene" is exactly the right word to describe it. This place is a total trip. Next time your craving a beer and good burger, get yourself over here.

How can you tell if you are going to have a bad experience at a restaurant in the South?…read more There will be some signs I will share with you based on my recent visit to Big Randy's. Sign #1: Sweet tea brought to you is from a soda fountain and not fresh-brewed. Making fresh-brewed sweet tea does not cost much. The waitress admitted it to me. I cannot tell you how many times I have had an awful sweet tea from the tab and the the rest of the experience has gone downhill more times than stabilizing the sail. Sign #2: Buying ranch to go with your wings instead of at least being given an obligatory one. Wait...it gets worse...paying for a pre-packaged Ken's Ranch...not Ranch made in-house. Sign #3: BBQ sauce on your wings is Sweet Baby Ray's bought from the grocery store. That is what my wife received and I probably had Sweet Baby Ray's Gold on my overcooked wings. Sign #4: I haven't met many French fries I wouldn't eat but Big Randy's tested me. I couldn't eat them. They were like McDonald's fries except way too salty. My wife's fries had no salt. The only saving grace from a 1-star is at least they made my wings extra wet like I asked and the service was fine. That's how you earn a 2-star. Note: the fried pickles had more of a corn nugget batter and the floor was also very sticky.
