The owner, Matt, came to talk with us about the project ahead of time and really listened to what we were looking for. He gave us some good things to consider that we hadn't thought of and took the time to get it just right. We were trying to compliment an existing patio we have and suggested we go to look at different colors at a local stone company (Patterson Hardscape & Supply Co - do we add this or leave it out?). Matt is top notch and his crew is too! They are very talented and they have tremendous attention to detail. They were also very kind and respectful. That really stood out to us. I started working with Matt Cook on a design to replace an existing deck in spring 2024. My wife and I continued to add additional features, and Matt was very helpful with ideas based on his professional experience. Throughout the process of picking specific paver types and wall material we landed on what we hoped would be the perfect raised patio design. Now that it's finished, we are extremely happy with the outcome. Matt's team was very professional during the installation process and communicated very well (which is rare in the contactor profession). Absolutely horrible job!!! Got 11 trees from mat 3 of the trees look like they were crushed under the other trees they turned the bad sides away from the road gee thanks!! Trees were planted and we watered them like we were supposed to now 3 are dead!!! We were told he had 2 on order and would replace nothing for 3 months!! He also put a sprinkler system in and that is half assed too the first sprinkler heads weren't big enough to do the area they needed to cover was told again they would be replaced and again no sign of Matt unless he drives bye!! Do your self a favor and stick with shaffer's I'm 2500 sorry I didn't thought I'd try to help the lil guy out!! I'm gonna end up getting a lawyer and spend more getting this fixed because he doesn't even reply anymore!! You've been warned!! read more
