We did our installation in 2022 and have seen our energy bills lower than ever before! (We have some shade on our roof so we didn't do the full roof, ~20 panels or so, but it worked out well.) They did the rebate work with the city so our out-of-pocket cost wasn't exorbitant at all. Our household also recently purchased a second electric vehicle so we contacted 512 Solar again, this time for a level 2 charger installation. Once again, 512 Solar was excellent at getting our quote together, suggesting two hardwired chargers that the city does rebates on, and actually getting the work done as well. We have to do the final step with submitting the rebate paperwork to the city, I believe, but that's small beans compared to all the work that JP and Huiyun did for us at the outset. Really happy we went with these folks and will continue to recommend their business!

The sales contact Jane is incredibly responsive and worked many different quotes with me with ease. There was an issue with the critter guard install but they came back out immediately to fix it. My system has been working flawlessly. I definitely think this is the best solar install company in Austin. Definitely get connected with Jane she is the best!

Matt Kenahan visited with us in our home at our convenience within a few days of submitting an online request and was ver present to coordinate all the communication and keep us well informed. Having lost major trees that did cover to roof in May 2024, the satellite views that were available were inaccurate and that made the design more of a challenge. We also had to get a new roof installed prior to start of the solar project. Having multiple surfaces due to our hipped roof allowed us to place 35 panels albeit on 6 surfaces of the roof. However, Matt got Burton Fowles working on designing and running all the reports needed for Oncor and how much energy could be expected with the placement on the roof. Once the panels arrived, it was all hands on deck. Dominic Fierro and Ryker Simmons were on the roof and in the attic installing cables, panels railing and footing and panels over multiple days, while Frank Smith the electrician was working parallel to install the power boxes and the associated connections to make it all work with Oncor. Then Pierson McKee comes to visit to assure our satisfaction and work with us on the apps available to monitor the system and deliver a goodie bag. I feel like all the people involved really care about the job they did for us and they aren't just in a hurry to get finished but rather quality work is the objective. Is is not lost on me that we are at the outer range of "local" in Bell County and they were all here and working when they said they would be. We are very pleased with the completed project and highly recommend the Austin branch of Green Power Energy!

I'm not a low maintenance customer, and Jameson (our account manager) was there for me every step of the way. The install looks great and is producing at the levels I was told to expect. A big thanks to Jameson and Fhilecya for getting me set up with a solar system that makes really happy. In August 2023, I needed a new roof and paid over $13,000 to have Longhorn Solar remove and reinstall my 37 solar panels. The panels were supposed to be cleaned before being reinstalled, but they were not. They were also reinstalled with the dirty side facing my front porch, which was very noticeable. On top of that, I had to wait approximately four weeks after my roof was completed before the panels were put back on. In May 2025, a connection issue caused my entire system to stop producing power. Because my system uses a single inverter, when one issue occurred, none of the panels worked. It took nearly two months to get the problem resolved, leaving me without solar production during that time. Now, in May 2026, the system has stopped working again. It has been almost three weeks, and I still do not have an appointment scheduled for repairs. It feels like customer service and system maintenance are not a priority once the sale is complete. I purchased 37 panels with the expectation that they would offset approximately 80% of my electric usage. That has never happened. Even when the system is operating, I consistently have electric bills between $180 and $200 per month.

They…read morewere quick, at one point it was going to rain mid-way through the install so they pulled out all the stops and they got my roof done ahead of schedule before it rained. Since then the roof has held up great! Last week I started seeing a leak on the outside of my house. I called them up and the owner sent someone out the same day just to rule anything out. When they came out we both agreed that it didn't look like there was anything wrong with the roof, but that didn't stop them for doing their best to stop it from leaking they added some caulking around some holes in the stucco and masonry and fixed up some of the flashing near the leak. After that, it was still leaking, but Brad, the owner, was kind enough to come out again, even though it had NOTHING to do with the roof just to double-check on me and make sure that I was doing well. At the end of the day, they took off a side gutter and found a hole in the wall that the builders had left from when the house was built. Again, STILL not roof related, but they treated me like family and helped me as if it were and fixed it up for me. Literally cannot say enough good things about WDR! I've never found a company that is this helpful or this responsive.

What started as raccoon damage ended up turning into a full roof replacement--something I had been putting off for a while. Ben took the time to walk me through every step in detail, including how the insurance process works. That alone can be stressful, but he made it much easier to navigate and gave me peace of mind throughout the process. He was professional, responsive, and communicative from start to finish. There are plenty of roofing companies out there offering similar services, but I truly felt that Ben and his team provided the best value without compromising on quality. I'd highly recommend them to anyone in need of roofing work.
