Excellent bread. Back to Café Schöner! The cakes and coffee are good. It is populated by a cross section of customers of all ages. The only major drawback are the twenty steps to get down to the toilet...which is very clean. There and back is forty stairs. So watch it if you are old, hip or painful leg problems. The staff are very helpful and mainly speak English...as long as you don't ask them if they do! I just assume that their English is good, well spoken etc. and it is. You will like café Schöner with it's German and Parisian trained Owner Patissier. Enjoy...I do!

They certainly take VISA but I'm not sure about everything else. They give you a nice little candy with purchase as well which was a nice touch. In this instance we resisted and did not try the food. We had their house special hot chocolate instead and it was a bit disappointing to be honest. The chocolate on a stick melted into a million small blobs making the hot chocolate a bit grainy and not something I like. The taste was ok and nothing special. Considering this is a chocolatier I expected better than my local chain bakery store and unfortunately I prefer my local store to this one ;-)) I may come back and try a few things next time.
