this is so bad i want to give you a zero but thats not possible, so i give you a one. in all honesty this school has been so difficult, if you consider going here, pls reconsider and go somewhere else. the bathrooms were never taken care of, it ALWAYS smelt like straight sewage to the point it would linger in the hallways and the teachers would have to leave the bathroom doors open to which other students/ faculty could see inside. as other reviews said the teachers do gossip and talk about other students or even staff members which is insanely unprofessional and inappropriate. the maintenance is disgusting and handled poorly. the learning system is terrible and limited options for bigger opportunities. there's so much more to say about this school and it's sad that this is only the surface. read more

The real question is, what can't they improve? This school is a complete and utter joke. The faculty and staff treat students poorly unless you're "popular" Dr. Jones doesn't deserve the title of doctor until he can write me a prescription. He has made this school go to hell by placing holly smith as principal, she has no reason to be principal there. She was just a librarian that couldn't even do that right. The entire time I was a student there I was constantly targeted by Holly and Kevin Smith and other faculty members because I had facial piercings, dyed hair, and wore ripped jeans. Oh no my shoulders are gonna make a dude hard. Okay. There is not enough diversity in this school there were a total of 4 black kids, and 4 mixed kids including myself. You do not get to have the same privileges at the school as the other kids which are surprise, white! This school tried to put me in ISS until the day I left simply because I said a curse word, when I know good and well that they say worse. It isn't fair that faculty members will talk about students to other students. Such as Dennis Baker, Emily Howell,Holly Smith, Kevin Smith, Ginger Montgomery, Crystal Nicholson, Amy Underwood, and Sandra Huffman. The funny thing is, is that the janitors always run their mouth especially Nakema and Vicki, I will never understand why grown adults have a reason to talk about CHILDREN! This school needs to be shut down, have proper inspection of how teachers are teaching and fire the ones that run their mouth, or just don't do their job, and the first thing they need to do is to fire Dr. Jones. read more

Copper Basin High School is fully composed of deceit. Although the academic system is wonderful, the staff and discipline system are absolutely out of sorts. The staff are fully disrespectful to parents and students combined and unnecessary discrimination is always present when it comes to students. The teachers and principals are fully biased towards children, issuing them drug tests and giving them ISS and suspension simply based off of the way that they see them and who they are friends with. The education system is terrific, but the children deserve far more respect from their "superiors" than what they recieve. As for the relationship between teachers and students, it's a controversial topic. Several teachers often create rumors about the students, often based off of what students say to their teachers about their peers. A great number of students confide in their teachers and talk about other students, to which the teachers bring it to the principal, Holly Smith, and she responds by issuing unfair punishment to the student which has allegations placed on them. Holly Smith has even unrighteously created her own speculations about several students participating in band which led to a great number of those children quitting, being kicked out, and even going as far as voluntarily unenrolling from the school. In summary, the administration here are outright bullies who are just as bad, if not worse, than the students here. If you care about your mental health and are considering enrolling, don't. This school has torn apart and destroyed several children's dreams. read more

It's literally no wonder two kids have already killed themselves. This school only cares about you if you've lived here your whole life. Administration is a joke and they have their favorites, it's obvious. When issues are brought up or addressed they sweep them under the rug and act as if they don't care. The principal has yelled in peoples faces and nothing has happened to her or the stuck up group of admins there. Theres a "counselor" who goes by ms Cribbs and she favors students in particular and doesn't mind showing rude or ugly faces to other students. The bullying is insane writhing the student body and people think they can just get away with it because it's a small town school filled with spawns of parents who think they're all that because they peaked in highschool. There's a reason none of them leave that small town and it's because they know they won't be high and mighty anywhere else. All I'm saying is the schools ridiculous and needs a serious reality check or a shut down. Good luck to anyone who decides to deal with it, especially if you didn't have parents who went there before you. Last names are very important in an inbred town. There are a few good teachers there, the only problem is really the administration and the few teachers who think it's okay to spread rumors and talk about the students like it's gossip girl. Penny Montgomery likes to gossip with other teachers AND students about other students and it's highly inappropriate. There's also a teacher in the elementary school who goes by ms dockery (not the high school one) and she loves to start rumors and pick on little kids.
