We were within walking distance of the downtown area which was nice. They have completed some nice upgrades to the rooms since our visit last year which was nice. Everyone of our rooms was clean, updated and very comfortable. I had a 2 queen beds with a balcony over looking the frozen lake and it was beautiful. We received housekeeping every day, which I have found not to be the case nowadays at other hotels. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant off the lobby was delicious. There is a lounge/pub on the lower level that is fully stocked and they serve pub food. I got the personal pizza and it was excellent. My family members ordered the burgers and equally were satisfied. The younger members of our family used the pool, arcade, hot tub and exercise room every day we were there and had so much fun. I definitely will be returning for long weekends often. So nice

The bartender accused one of our members of bringing in alcohol when they didn't. They called the police after one family member accidentally hit a flower pot and broke it even after walking in, telling the manager what happened, have him a CC for the damages. This place is crap. The view is better than most that I've stayed in. With the new owners, we were greeted with such friendliness and hospitality! The rooms are large and super clean, nice linens and super comfy beds. My room had a really nice big fridge which was great for the drinks and snacks that we brought for the weekend. It is quiet but right in the heart of all the action too. When we were there, there was a group playing Corn hole in the parking lot which my kids loved too. The darling white swing was great for drinking my morning coffee while watching the water. I booked a 12 person group at this hotel a year in advance for a guys golf trip to the area. 3…read moremonths before the trip i was contacted by the manager explaining to me that they had made a mistake and they have a wedding the same weekend of my reservation. They told me they no longer have rooms available for my group. He offered up some alternate hotels that were 15 mins away and in the wrong direction of the golf. I was left to find alternate lodging with everything else in green lake already booked. I am sure it is a nice place but my situation was handled very poorly and i will not be seeking lodging here in the future.

Is there a zero star?…read more I understand living in the mid-west, that things move a lot slower and that the "internet" is confusing; but phones have been around for years now. I had a reservation for myself and one for my grandparents that I booked back in March. We live in California, so we need a place to stay, we can't just drive home. I called in to check in on our reservations today (they are for next week) and the manager told me the rooms will be unavailable due to water damage that they've been working on for a few weeks. No one has called me since March, not once to tell me about this. I asked when he intended on calling me and he said he's been really busy since he runs the place on his own. NO EXCUSE! Try some customer service classes! I am beyond irritated as I now have to find a place for my grandparents and myself a week before our trip. Their phone number is not correct on either their website or Yelp.

Bathroom was disgusting, cabin was advertised as sleeping 6 slept 5 like a can of sardines. Owner was....awkward made fun of my parents car (should you really insult your ONLY guests you have for the week??? The sheets on the king sized bed were spectacular. The breakfast was delicious. The owners were very cordial and helpful from the moment we arrived. You cannot go wrong with a stay of 1 night or several days. We will be back before fall!
