Copperhill is absolutely beautiful and the food is delicious. My wife and I came here recently to have brunch/meet with the manager(Bari) about booking a party. Bari was so nice, helpful and welcoming. The private party room is beautiful and is a great space for an event. As for the food(brunch), everything was delicious and the drinks were great! I usually do not write reviews but today I got really upset. Service was horrible !! Today I took my husband out to this Resturant because I previously had a great time with my best friend. However, today once the food was served, the waitress never came back to check on us to see if we needed anything or everything was okay. We finally had to to call the waitress to give us the check after waiting 15-20 minutes finishing our dinner. Will not be coming back to this restaurant !!! read more

What a delightful lunch! Started with the Burrata and grilled toast. I had Buttermilk chicken sandwich and DH had the Classic burger. Of note to iced tea drinkers- you get a nice little carafe to refill yourself. Some might say the menu is limited but I say it is tight. Sneaking a peek at other diners (who looked very happy with thier selections) everything was on point. Setting is clean and uncluttered yet homey. This place has been on my list for a while. If you have a party greater than 4, don't make reservations here. The hostess/manager will make you wait twenty minutes past your reservation time to sit you at a table that's been open the ENTIRE TIME you waited. It happened to me, and from the reviews below, I see it's happened to others as well. It's a shame. The food is great. The service is decent, but their organization and management is wanting. First time here. Very nice atmosphere inside with enough distance between tables. Excellent service and food. Had the devil's on horseback starter (really good), scallops, asparagus and octopus. All were very good! The octopus was not at all fatty. The bread is made fresh every day but was what we liked the least. Lovely space. However, we arrived a bit early for our reservation and noticed several empty tables. We were told by the person at the desk that we needed to wait for our reservation time. We didn't understand why, but we said, "Ok, we'll be at the bar." After 45 minutes, my husband asked why we still weren't seated and they gave us an excuse I am yet to understand. I have no problem waiting for a table if a restaurant is crowded and packed, HOWEVER when there are Visibly many empty tables, I have a problem. We just arrived home from dinner, and to describe our experience in one word PHENOMENAL! The menu is not your traditional blah menu, but it contains many different and creative dishes. It was difficult to decide what to choose as our appetizers, since everyone sounded delicious. We listened to our waiter's recommendations, and we ordered bratwurst which came with a tasty sauce and potato salad. We also ordered Ramen Carbonara, which, in my view, was a combination of Carbonara and Cacio d' Pepe, and was as good as you can imagine. For our entrees we had Halibut, and skirt steak both of which would exceed anyone's expectations. For dessert we shared probably the best chocolate mousse that my wife and I both felt was the best we ever had. All this along with a really nice wine and cocktail selection, as well as a very inviting bar to relax at before or after your meal. Finally, our server whose name I fail to remember was as professional as any server in the finest restaurant's. We recently (5 of us) had a fantastic meal here - a true gem with innovative food and attentive service. And they're careful and knowledgeable about food allergies and gluten free offerings - BUT what always throws me is the hostess' ability to discourage you when you call for a reservation. Having been in the fine dining, working for Gray Kuntz (Lespinasse) I know it's counterintuitive to be standoffish when people call - even if you are booked. Even when I tried to suggest that my party (large) would walk in and be seated on the patio (their policy) , it was met with heavy sighing and hemming and hawing. The idea of Philoxenia (hospitality) is the primary component of the restaurant business despite the hype about food. It would be good for the owners/chef to convey that to the front of house. read more

This restaurant is deceiving! From the outside you can't tell how incredible it is inside! They decorated it like a farmhouse home right out of a magazine, beautiful. It is true farm to table and so delicious. It can be a little pricey but I find it to be worth it. They also have a back room and you can throw a baby shower or bridal shower there! read more

My friend and I finally decided to check this place out. She's not a big fan of fried food. We ordered chicken sandwiches with a side of Mac n cheese. Both of our sandwiches contained 1 fried but not greasy breast. I don't remember the names of each of our sandwiches but they were both filling and tasty. The Mac n cheese was ok. Was made with some sort of cheese wiz sauce with a bit of authentic cheese melted on top. Just ok. Have been a big fan of Copper Hill since they first opened ! It is a favorite of mine to join my mom for happy hour on Fridays and for my boyfriend and I to visit for specials occasions (birthdays , anniversaries). I love how their seasonal menu is always changing and have never been disappointed with anything we've ordered ! The cocktails are also delicious. Since Covid has started we have picked up take out several times and it is almost just as good as home ! The only thing missing is the great ambiance that is part of the Copper Hill experience! Everything we've ordered has been hot and stayed perfect until we got home to plate it. And they hands down make the best to-go cocktails, especially their whiskey sours! And pick up couldn't be easier. We can't wait to come back to once everything opens again but until then we will continue to enjoy our take out orders to hold us over in the meantime ! read more

Came here last year for Valentines day so this review is overdue. Everything we tried on the menu was delicious and the space was so intimate and cozy. I believe I got some kind of pasta that maybe had braised short rib? And my boyfriend got the burger. We finished with their little donut holes which were perfect. I don't like chocolate so I wish we had been warned about the chocolate sauce but there were one or two not touched by the sauce that I could eat and my bf took the rest which worked out quite well. Coming back this weekend for my birthday dinner with my family and I hope it lives up to expectation! I definitely recommend this place. read more

Since I don't do lobster she treated me to the $22.00 Bacon Cheddar Cheese Burger. The burger was awesome and the bacon was nice and crispy. I scoffed it down. Great food! The short rib poutine is excellent, the fries stay crispy and the short rib is perfectly sour and savory. My Canadian wife thoroughly enjoyed it. We also had the hanger steak with kimchi fried rice, the start was actually the rice which was super spicy and flavorful, as kimchi should be! The burrata was great as well, as the vinegrette, rocket, and tomato did not overpower the delicate flavors one bit. The fluke crudo was excellent, very fresh and they did not ruin the fluke with too much acidity as is often the case in other restaurants. Finally, the portion sizes for each plate was larger than I expected, though its certainly a fancy restaurant with impeccable decor (they changed the cutlery like a jillion times), the dishes are actually pretty good deals. We dined at Copperhill for the first time with another couple. Everything from the decor, to the flower table when you first walked in, the cool yet farmhouse-y vibe and yummy smell of the restaurant, the table where we were seated, the uniform of the restaurant staff, the woman who checked our coat, everything was excellent - and we haven't even tasted the food yet. For apps, the boys ordered cocktails (I forgot what they had) and we ordered teas, a belcher cheese and a soft cheese that was served with honey that I can't remember the name of, for the table, the foie gras, the poutine, beets salad and the shishito peppers. There was not one thing left in any of the plates! The shishito peppers was the wild card for me - I've never had it yet it was the dish that I loved the most! It was not spicy at all and it was laced with this yummy sesame glaze that I just can't get enough of. The poutine was beyond, the foie gras was delish, the cheeses, the olives, and the bread they served at the table were just amazing, and the beet salad was bright and fresh with plenty of goat cheese. We loved it all. For entrees, we had the halibut special (Not over cooked and melts in your mouth), the hanger steak with rice and fried egg cooked medium rare (and YES, it came out medium rare), the crab tagliatelle (creamy and pasta was cooked perfectly al-dente with plenty of crab meat), the white corn grits, and the maitaki mushroom. For dessert, we had the apple pie and chocolate mousse. I love how the chocolate mousse was a deconstructed chocolate mousse: they spread the mousse on one side of the bowl, with plenty of whipped cream and nuts. Tasted just as good as it looks! Believe me when I tell you that there were no empty plates. Were we full? Beyond. Did we want to stop eating? No. Were we sad to have gotten full? Yes. Did we have to un-button our pants? HELL YES. Every time I go anywhere to eat, I always pay attention to the little things that make a great dinner or constitute a great service. The waiter never forgot to check on us; our water glasses were ALWAYS full; when the waiter was caught up with something, they had other people check on us; they gave great, honest suggestions; they did not rush our meal; time spacing between apps, entrees, and dessert was spot on; AND they made me WANT to leave an amazing tip because they deserve it, which I only felt so few times in my life. We loved our time at Copperhill and I think you will too. If I had to critique anything was that I did not like the kimchi mixed in with my rice in the hanger steak dish but that's only because I'm not a kimchi person. In the grand scheme of things, Copperhill was top-notch and I wish that it was not all the way out in Long Island or else I'd be there every week - please open a Copperhill in Montclair, New Jersey!! We started with a cheese board, blackened shishito peppers (definitely was the fan favorite of the night) short rib poutine and the foie gras. Everything was prepared to perfection. The entrees were beautifully plated and tasted even better. My husband had the nights special which was halibut over a bed of brussel sprouts. I had the Maitake mushrooms... just exquisite. The service was wonderful- the staff was just so welcoming and attentive. We felt like we were catered for the entire night without anyone hovering and without feeling like we needed to get anyone's attention right away for any requests. Came here for a work lunch earlier this week and we had a great time! We had a reservation (there are 16 of us) and were promptly seated. Our waiter was very patient with us and very attentive to our needs. It did take a bit for all of our drinks to come out, but when they did, I was very impressed. We ordered two of every appetizer for the table and were able to taste a bit of everything. Wow! The poutine was crispy and flavorful. I especially loved the bacon wrapped dates, which were stuffed with blue cheese. A good chunk of our group ordered the jumbo lump crab roll and opted to swap out chips for fries. I enjoyed the fries (which we ordered extra crispy) but the crab roll was good, but not my favorite. Even with a lemon squeeze, it really wasn't flavorful. I still enjoyed it but I don't think I would order it again. I'll definitely come back to try other entrees though. I absolutely loved the rustic farmhouse decor and atmosphere. There's a ton of onsite parking, which for the area, is rare. Overall the staff was so accommodating and I look forward to coming back soon! read more

Just dined here tonight and this is now the favorite upper tier dining location in Long Island for us. The ambience is fantastic. The food is amazing. The service is remarkable. Copperhill is a perfect date spot. This is a gem of a restaurant amidst the rest of Mid-Long Island's upper tier restaurants which I have found many to be either pretentiously modern, too old-fashioned, or just simply trying way too hard. Copperhill offers a perfectly pared down, unpretentious experience built on the American charm of a beautifully and smartly renovated farmhouse home; along with the carefully crafted, delicious creations of the head chef and food staff serving up the perfect new American fare. We met one owner there when we dined and found out that the chef this evening was the second owner, as well. Great attention to detail; effective use of sparse, thoughtful, American design; a perfect new American dining menu that is well crafted and truly delicious; and well trained, efficient, friendly, and down to earth servers. We've been going since Copperhill first opened. The menu changes often to showcase in-season produce, but the quality is consistently on-point and fantastic. When dining in - whether you're dining in the more casual bar area, or more polished porch or back room - you're surrounded by an eclectic and a bit whimsical decor. We've dined in many times but also had our daughter's first communion party at the restaurant. Bari's attention to detail translated to a sit-back-and-enjoy kind of an experience for us. This is quite a neighborhood gem. Very modern, open, rustic restaurant.. perfect for a date night, sunday brunch, anything! Absolutely beautiful restaurant. The menu showcases things you typically find in manhattan spots. Cold brew? Yep. Quirky, food mash ups? Check. The seafood salad was delicious. I very much enjoyed the apricot jam with my biscuits. Otherwise on the brunch menu there were many sandwiches/burger options with some classics like bagel with cream cheese and salmon. Other items weren't so memorable.. My boyfriend and I were in the area and needed a place to stop for dinner. So glad we stumbled upon this gem! The interior style is so beautiful, you feel like you are in a designer magazine. I had the bee's knees cocktail, which was fantastic! The food was also top-notch. We tried the poutine, ramen cacio e pepe for appetizers, and I had the green circle chicken and he had the hangar steak. I went last week for Valentine's Day dinner. Every table got complimentary champagne which was a nice touch. The place is super cute- loved the decor. Our server Lauren was fabulous. The shishito peppers were a stand out, delicious! I loved the kale salad and the cauliflower main dish. Lots of options for meat eaters and non meat eaters (like me) alike.
