In 2021, we moved back "home" after being away for over a decade, bringing along our then 4-month-old and almost 2-year-old. We initially enrolled our oldest in a school with over 30 years of community presence, but it was a terrible experience. We pulled her out and managed without daycare for a while. By 2022, we felt she needed socialization, so we toured four different daycares. The moment we walked into Coral Reef Academy, we knew this was the one. The past 2.5 years have been nothing short of amazing. Every teacher at Coral Reef Academy is dedicated to creating a loving, safe, and nurturing environment. The administration has been outstanding. Our kids have experienced developmental milestones, from dealing with friends biting and challenging potty training to learning kindness and sharing. The teachers and administration have supported us through it all. We've experienced care across almost all age groups, from 1's to 4's. The kids learn essential skills like eating in a cafeteria, sharing, resolving conflicts, understanding emotions, and just being kids, all under the watchful and trustworthy eye of the staff. Communication is excellent through an app, and secure access with a code allows parents to enter as needed. The playgrounds are safe and clean, with staff ensuring proper hydration and monitoring the weather for excessive heat and storms. They celebrate various events like fall festivals, Thanksgiving lunch, Grandparents Day, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Scholastic Book Fair, Dr. Seuss Week, and bring in companies like Soccer Shots and Dancing Little Stars for extracurricular activities. We are moving, and unfortunately, their locations are too far for our schedule. We are deeply saddened that our girls will not graduate VPK here or continue with after-school or summer care at Coral Reef Academy. We hope that whoever takes our spot will see how amazing these teachers are and how much they love your kids. Your money will be well spent at one of the best daycares around. read more

My son attends school here! VPK and after school care is well. I have never been to another school that has been as thorough as this one. I met both of the owners within the first week of him starting. They own two centers one on stack Boulevard and one on NASA Boulevard. I chose the one on NASA Boulevard because it's closer to my job. I absolutely love the school. The curriculum is awesome. It's always clean. But more importantly you can tell that the owners and the staff truly care about what they do on a daily basis. They're always there, They always look neat, they know everyone by name! And I do mean everyone. Ohhh and they're culturally inclusive! Which is a rare find in Palm Bay !!! Let me begin this review with first saying, I did not think I would ever be leaving such a negative review or terrible experience as this that my family and I have experienced at this facility. This daycare prides themselves and advertises that they appreciate the diversity that each child brings and how each child is unique in their individual needs. And while that may be true for a child of normal circumstance and needs, it was not true of my recently diagnosed speech delayed child. My son started at this facility in July of 2020 in the infant room and has been there until today. We've been with them through the height of covid and the uncertainty that a pandemic brings to everyone. Closures, positive cases, regular colds and germs associated with daycare. In the 1 year room my son was bit countless times by multiple children which is normal for that age, I know. But while my son was coming home day after day covered in bites, bruises, and cuts, I showed patience and understanding with them because it happens. I never imagined that when my son was diagnosed at the end of December with a speech delay, that they wouldn't show the same patience and understanding. As responsible parents, my husband and I immediately got our child into speech therapy even with the therapist coming into the school to do therapy. I made sure the directors and teachers were well aware of his diagnosis, evaluations and progress. None of this was done because of prompting by any of the daycare workers, by the way. At the end of February I was approached to hold a conference about my sons progress and expectations in this facility. We met, talked about progress and concerns and we jointly agreed that it would be beneficial to my son to be in a facility with a smaller class size and that they would work with us on time because they understood you can't just walk into a good daycare the next day. No time limit was given. 48 hours later I had a resolution in progress. We were on multiple lists for reputable daycares in the area that offered smaller class sizes. I informed the program director that we were on multiple lists but that we were looking at a new school enrollment towards June. 3 months away. To this information, I was given a displeased facial expression with a "I'll talk to so and so and let you know" I didn't hear anything else for about two weeks until I was approached and asked for another conference. I scheduled the conference for the following Wednesday. The Monday before our upcoming conference, I was given a termination of services letter with the director stating that with my sons speech delay, he was just too hard to handle. Maybe if they had been more commutative, or forthcoming with their expectations or internal timeline they wanted him discharged, we would've had a more amicable split. My son walked out of the only daycare he's ever known today with not so much as a goodbye or a hug from any of his teachers. Change is hard for anyone. Change is especially hard for a child that doesn't understand why. My heart breaks for him. I'm hoping this review will prevent this discrimination from happening to someone else's child and it should not have happened to mine. read more

Coral Reef is a wonderful day care and preschool, dedicated to the health and development of children. I worked here, my grandchildren went there. Misunderstandings happen, but i would highly recommend coral reef. read more

My son goes to Coral Reef Academy on Stack Blvd. The staff there is amazing. They are so friendly and full of amazing positive energy. Anytime my son is having one of those " got up on the wrong side of the bed" mornings they are always there to help brighten his day and just give him warm hugs. He is learning so much from them. I can't be more blessed and thankful my son was able to get a spot for VPK because this is hands down the best VPK school for vpk in Brevard Co. So so so greatful for this place and so is my 4 year old who was so scared to go until he got to this place and changed our outlook for both of us, thank you CRA teachers and staff and I can't wait to get to know you all throughout the school year this year. I also love you can watch through the camera to see your kids at naptime and at the playground so that's very reassuring and also the daycare's app and emails are very helpful for getting notes of when to bring in items, reminders about events and i love seeing photos of what the kids/ my son did on some days. I like that I don't have to get a piece of paper everyday and can look up history in the app. The classrooms are clean and bright and the environment is very cheerful. This place deserves an a plus plus and 10 stars I'm just saying five stars doesn't do justice to see if yourself! read more

New to the area with our first born (13MO when started at CRA Nasa), and (naturally) cautious about leaving her in anyone else's hands, we set out to find a daycare where we felt comfortable and confident with the decision/risk. I visited several daycares in the general area and even some completely out of the way, but Coral Reef Academy immediately won out (in my heart) as the undisputed selection. Fast forward 10 months later and boy did we make the right decision: * Socialness/intelligence: The day after day growth we've witnessed in our girl has been amazing. Her song singing, friend naming, counting skills, and overall pleasantness around different/new people is directly attributed to the relationships, love, and direct teaching she gets on a daily basis. * Allergies: Lucy's allergic to dairy, eggs, and even bananas. Given that, the sorts of food provided on a daily basis, and which her friends would have in hand, you can appreciate our worry. Despite this, we've had almost no issues and certainly nothing major. The kitchen staff coordinates with me on a daily/weekly basis to plan what meals are available, what should be replaced, and even what can be customized or saved by them to help save me money and time by avoiding whenever possible my need to provided additional meals/snacks. * Awareness: Through the electronic statusing tools, we are able to check up on our daughter to understand how long she's napped, how much she's eaten, and to get happy photos of her playing outside with her friends. We are very satisfied with Coral Reef, we give it high ratings, and would recommend it to anyone searching for a daycare to trust their child to. The teachers, kitchen staff, and the front office staff are wonderful; we look forward to their continuing care. Thank you!! read more

I normally don't write reviews... rarely do I ever take the time. However, I make an exception here because my feeback does involve children and the environment for which their young minds develop and flourish. Our family recently relocated to the area. My son has been in a childcare environment since he was 6 months old (he just turned three). I searched the entire area for a child care provider that met my standards for quality of care, cleanliness, and academic curriculum structure. I was impressed by the appearance of Coral Reef and the friendly staff. The "wow" ends there. My son attended Coral Reef Academy on Nasa Blvd for three weeks (2 more weeks than he should have because I paid two weeks advance). Our enrollment initially ended because we did not want to apply for the reduce lunch meal program. Knowing our family does not qualify for this program, this facility requires every family to apply so they can receive federal funds for meals. Therefore, each family is required to basically provide the first page of our tax form 1040 (name, address, ssn, gross income etc...) with no real guarantee of protecting that information. I was told I could enter zeros for income, which I did but I still refused to sign the document because the language on the form clearly states falsifying the document could result in state/Federal penalties. At this point, it was agreed our enrollment would terminate. Additionally, in the first 3 days of my son's attendance, I was shocked to find a behavior report which required parent, teacher and director signatures. This continued for the next two weeks! Seems pretty serious for a toddler who didn't want to share, come in from outside play or not want to clean up. Those, in my opinion, are clearly teachable moments; and we certainly reinforce at home but not what I would consider "behavior issues." Finally, with our previous provider, a 15:1 ratio truly meant there was 1 teacher to 15 students in that room. Here in a class size of about 30 toddlers, adding another teacher can certainly give the appearance of complying with the student to teacher ratios but does not render orderly class function. I later realized the requirement of that form and my refusal to comply was a blessing. This facility was not a good fit for our family. I'm happy that he's now attending another facility where the class sizes are smaller and for the first time since our move, he's happy, no tears when saying our good byes in the morning. read more

The front desk staff barely speaks when you walk in. My son started at this school after moving from out of state. I was told that according to their roster, my younger baby should have a spot by January. The end of December came, two weeks before i was to start my new job, I was informed that my baby no longer has a January spot. There is no mistaking how many children will turn 1 in January and how many spots will become available. My baby's spot was given to someone else. I was stuck scrambling to find a new school for both of my children on short notice. My four year old has now had to change schools twice in the last few months. Once from moving out of state and once because my younger child no longer has a January spot. This broke my heart for my 4 year old. I had to explain to him that it was not his fault that he had to leave another school. If I would have known this would happen, I would have chosen another school from the beginning. Beware! read more
