Our night at the Cora Villa was my first ever stay at a motel, and I was very pleasantly surprised. Our room was enormous, with two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom on split levels, including a very basic kitchen, a covered outdoor seating area and a garage. The rooms were obviously not deluxe standard but were very clean (aside from a little dust in places), and there were TVs in both rooms. The bathroom included a jet bath if you're after a little luxury! The kitchenette included a microwave and kettle, although a sink in the kitchen would also have been useful (there's a wash basin to fill from the bathroom sink). I had a great sleep, despite the busy road outside.
There is a lovely outdoor seating area in the main part of the motel, with a little water feature and fairy lights. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, recommending a great Thai place just down the road for dinner. They also have a wide selection of DVDs and books that you can borrow with a small refundable deposit.
All of this was for the very reasonable price of AUS$130 for three of us, for the one night. If I'm back in the area and looking for a motel, I would definitely pick the Coral Villa again. read more
