Their kindness, encouragement, and willingness to share their own parenting experiences and challenges have meant a great deal to me. Their support has helped me navigate both the joys and difficulties of raising a child, and I am deeply grateful for their positive influence. As a mother of an only child, one of my greatest concerns has always been making sure my son has opportunities to socialize, build friendships, and develop confidence. Through the YMCA, he has made friends, participated in activities, and enjoyed wonderful summer camp experience. The social connections and sense of belonging he has gained are invaluable, and I plan to continue enrolling him in YMCA programs in the future. At the same time, I have become actively involved in YMCA fitness classes myself. They noted during the inspection that there were no roots in the tank. Well...not too long (a month later) after their inspection the septic was backing up. We assumed it was the plumbing in the house because they said the septic was good. The photos show the huge root ball that formed a curtain around the incoming pipe and was removed by another septic company that said it had been growing there for years. When I brought this to their attention, they emailed me with the following: "Yes it was reported that we did not see any roots while there. From our conversation I am assuming that you are looking for reimbursement of the cost to pay [the other company] for their services. At this time we feel that our services were completed just as all of our other inspections are done." It really is a shame that they chose to handle it this way instead of owning up to the fact that they did a poor inspection (or perhaps didn't even bother opening up the lid; not sure how you miss 100 pounds worth or roots grown into the tank). They had a chance to make it right, and did not. If, as they noted, this is how all of their other inspections are done, then I don't know how they are in business.

I addressed the matter after she stated the second time that the teacher Miss G hit her hand. These people have an incredibly aggressive vibe, if you haven't noticed, pay attention moms! I asked the director if I could see video footage of those two dates where she said she was hit in school and although they had cameras they did not have video footage of the 1st incident and when I looked at the video footage of the day on the second incident, there was a one-hour timeframe that was missing in the footage before she got into trouble and had to stand close to Miss G. They denied there was missing footage when I showed it to them! And when I said I want a report of this incident the director scoffed at me and said what for? This school needs to lose its license!

All of the staff are equipped to love, nurture, and shepherd each child with individualized care. They treat the children like family and I adore that! My now 6 year old started attending ALC when he was just a year and a half. During his time at ALC, the teachers groomed him and made sure he was prepared for school. Once he entered preschool in the school system, the teachers there were impressed by how much he already knew! I currently have a two year enrolled at ALC and the teachers are amazing working with him! He uses sign language during mealtime, sing songs and fluently saying words. My hats off to the staff of ALC, I don't know what I would do without you all!! If I were to have another child, that child would also be attending ALC!!
