You'll notice a little musty smell when you enter Meubles Grand Berger's stairs up to the first Lower Level. Don't hesitate to make it to the Upper Level next floor up because there are certainly more varied finds. Used furniture on the whole in Montreal is less expensive than comparable items in New York City, so I've been always impressed by what I've seen. Despite named "Meubles" the organized top floor in particular covers a lot of the non-furniture items. This flea market also groups together Québec related stuff, if that's of interest. It's easy to reach by Montreal's Metro. If flea markets are your thing, Meubles Grand Berger is worth checking out!

The technician arrived in the morning, was very pleasant, removed his shoes, took care around my home. He was able to quickly identify the problem and fix it right up, quoted me before doing so, and my freezer was fixed in under an hour, right before Christmas for $200, which I was happy to pay given that the manufacturer couldn't even do that. They also guarantee it for a year, and he gave me some great tips for fridge/freezer maintenance. Very happy!

Um... this place is amazing…read more I had no idea this store even existed until I randomly decided to go in after browsing around at Eva B, which is pretty much right next door. Looking in from outside, you wouldn't gain much of a clue as to what this place is about since they aren't big on window display. Nope, aesthetics are not on the radar here. Once you go inside, though, you'll be blown away at: a) the actual size of this place and, b) the amount of STUFF. This is an industrial supply store, full of the most obscure tools, parts, etc and has everything -EVERYTHING- you could ever want before you knew you wanted it. I'm a DIY builder (artist) of mechanical, electronics, whatever and I seriously wish I'd found this place a lot sooner. Today I located an extremely hard to come by brass nut that I desperately needed to finish hooking up the latest appliance I'm working on. I had a hallelujah moment so hard, the guys working there thought I was a full-on lunatic. Everything is super cheap, super organized, and well-stocked.
