This is my go-to egg place in the Vega Central. Although they sell cheese, yogurt and other products, I come here just to get my eggs because their quality to price is by far the best I have come across in the vega.
The guy who attends the egg section is super nice and if he is not busy we will chat (although this rarely happens as Corcina Mendoza is almost always has a line). He is from the south and will go twice a year to visit his family when he has vacation days saved up. Packing and picking the eggs is his job and he does it quickly and precisely. However, because there is always a line some people do get mad and impatient - please don't take your frustration out on him as he is alone packing all the eggs and honestly does work as fast as he can.
Ok, now that I am off my soap box I'll tell you the key in ordering. As soon as you get there, ask him for a ticket for your eggs - I recommend the extra or the super extra de color (the yolks are a deep yellow and the shells are hard, which means the quality of food the chickens have is good). Once you have your ticket and if you don't want anything else (I would also checkout their natural honey products such as shampoo, conditioner and creams) then go to the other line and pay. This will take about 5 minutes and is perfect because meanwhile the guy is packing your eggs. Come back and give him your ticket (he will probably remember what you ordered and hand them to you without you needing to remind him).
Overall, this is a great section to get your eggs and milk products and what keeps me coming back is the good service and quality.
How to get there:
If you walk in the main entrance, make your first left passing the avocado and tomato stands and go all the way down until you get to the last "local" on the right (right in front of the area where they sell dog clothes and other random items). If you are coming in from the back, as soon as you walk in, it will be right in front of you. read more
