We did get several estimates for the tree removal and stump grinding. We chose them for the price and the quality. We do have experience with two of their competitors. Our house has a huge deck that was built around a gigantic, old silver maple tree. The tree was…read moreroughly 80 to 90 feet tall and it was estimated to be close to 100 years old. The tree was in a sad state and we were fearful that one of the large limbs would break in high winds resulting in a tremendous amount of damage to our house. We consulted with three arborists, and they all agreed the tree should be removed, but only one of them had a crane large enough to do the job and that was Nick's tree service. This was not an inexpensive project. It was just under $11k. But I cannot speak highly enough of the speed and quality of work that Nick's tree service provided. It took them less than three hours to completely remove this tree. And after they had cut, chipped, swept, and left. You would've never known they were even here, except of course, for the huge hole in our deck where the tree used to be. The entire crew was very professional efficient and got the job done in record time. It was money well spent.

I was told the cleanup could not be completed because of rain, yet the company still came out and mowed the lawn on two separate occasions. Unfortunately, I was not aware that the lawn had been mowed twice, which led to confusion regarding billing. I paid the first invoice, but I did not realize a second invoice had been generated until later. The biggest issue was communication. Updates were either very limited or non-existent, making it difficult to know what services were being performed, when they were being performed, or why scheduled work was being canceled. Clear and timely communication could have prevented much of the confusion and frustration. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company for customers who expect reliable scheduling and consistent communication.
