I knew for years that I needed to see a chiropractor but my only interaction with one was a "free" evaluation that I received from work from a team donating their time to educators. This "free" session was full of high pressure sales and pressure to sign up for packages and talk of xrays and expensive diagnostics and had both my co-worker and I calling to cancel checks that we had handed over to sign up for services after the euphoria of the chair massage wore off. It was such a turn-off that I put chiropractors in a box and continued to put it off for years. Eventually chronic backpain that wasn't getting fixed through physical therapy, massage or medical intervention had me pulling the trigger. Dr. Todd is everything that this other chiropractor was not. He is warm, compassionate, easy-going and honest. He is straight-forward and practical and REALLY good. I cannot tell you how much better I feel since I have started working with Dr. Todd. I have never felt pressured to sign-up for a package (I don't think they even have one) or submit to any tests or other over the top diagnostics. I know I am not alone b/c since I started going a few years ago I have recommended him to my husband and five colleagues that are now huge fans as well. I've been a huge fan of Dr. Todd since I started seeing him last August. I was having terrible headaches and my primary care physician suggested taking muscle relaxers and I just wasn't a fan of that idea at all. A few different people happened to suggest that I see a chiropractor without knowing of my other medical issue and I decided to take a good friend's suggestion and visit Dr. Todd. The first appointment was an assessment and then a bit of adjustment work. And prescribed a certain regimen and I have followed it ever since. I see him once or twice a month and the terrible headaches have receded. I've found Dr. Todd to be very professional, approachable and friendly. I'm a big believer in chiropractic care, but after my last chiropractor retired it's been a long hard journey to find that new Doc that I could feel comfortable with. Since I've been seeing Dr Todd, I couldn't be happier. I do a lot of computer work that has effected my "mouse" arm, and Dr Todd is the first one to actually listen and then actively work on the issue. He doesn't just do the standard adjustment and say that's that. He works to identify the core of your problem and then begins to treat it. Don't get me wrong, he keeps everything in order and aligned with my base adjustment, but he also addresses going challenges, like symptoms of carpel tunnel, and works to alleviate those symptoms. I have been to many chiropractors over the last 15 years after an auto accident. I have found the place I will go forever. I didn't feel pushed to come in a lot - only as I needed or was comfortable. They also have been very understanding of my schedule conflicts, at times coming in a few minutes before they open to accommodate me if possible. I had a bizarre "injury" that happened when lifting a box into the back of my truck (I'm a 29 year old male in pretty good shape), and found myself in an extreme amount of pain as my intercostal muscles seized a nerve in my back (as i understand, that may not be the exact medical diagnosis). Regardless, Dr. Todd saw me right away and after just 3 visits that week I was doing much much better. I was amazed by Dr. Todd and you need to go see him!! I was looking to find someone who could help me after getting hit on the top of the head with quite a lot of weight. My hand was going numb regularly and I couldn't turn my head all the way. Due to some scary experiences in the past and some stories from other family/friends I was very worried about seeing a chiropractor. After 3 weeks I put some feelers out and Dr. Todd came up multiple times. I contacted him to get an appointment and his availability was awesome. I was able to get in the next morning! I saw him and he evaluated my whole spine, even places I didn't realize were in pain! He explained what he found and what he would need to do in order to make me better. He told me what he was doing every step of the way and put me at ease, even with my previous experiences! After the adjustment he put me on a traction table and I felt awesome, it kind of gives you a massage!! He also, stayed with me while on the table and answered all my questions, including what to avoid over the next few days, how to stretch, and what to do to prevent myself from getting worse/having to see someone three times a week for life (one of the other horror stories I had). He had the same goals for me as I had and explained everything I could do to reach those goals. I don't have insurance that covers chiropractics and even if it did, my deductible was insane.
