This little flower shop is adorable. I dragged a friend along with me for a visit after hearing about it on a blog and it was worth the long drive west on Queen. Very cute flowers, very nice antique bottles used as vases, and a very nice owner! Coriander Girl will fill up your own vase if you bring it in with flowers and even offers $5 mini-bouquets in tiny bottles. They also have a small selection of hand creams and soaps. Lovely and reliable! I ordered from Coriander Girl to thank a colleague meaning, and I wanted flowers that would make a statement. Flowers that looked like they were lovingly picked out and not ordered generically. These were just what the doctor ordered! Went here because Botany is closed on Sundays. Coriander Girl has good but limited stock, and the bouquet they arranged for me (from flowers I chose) was nice, but not perfect. Staff member was a little attitudinal, and she didn't give me any flower food. I still prefer Botany -- they have more stock and nicer staff, and their flowers are half price on Fridays. Come here if you like garden roses, ranunculus, etc. The place is a little hard to find. Look for a set of white doors on the east side of the building by the parking lot with a small set of external stairs leading up to it. read more

Really beautiful flowers and great customer service! I recently ordered a bouquet over the phone for my mom and she really loved the flowers :) I left the arrangement design up to the florist and the result was beautiful, very whimsical. I requested that the flowers be delivered after 2pm but there was a mix up with the delivery service that CG uses and they were actually delivered at 8:30 am :( They were delivered just as my mom was leaving so we were lucky it worked out. I mentioned this to CG when they called me to confirm my email for my receipt. I just wanted to give them a heads up, I wasn't sure if it was a mix up on their end or not, but ending up finding out it was the delivery service's fault. Either way, they refunded me the delivery fee! Totally not necessary since she got the flowers, but awesome none the less. They even were able to include a pic of the bouquet since I live outside of Canada and wouldn't get to see them. Really great customer service! I will be using them from now on and I have recommended them to all my friends who live in TO. read more

Happened to stop in here by chance while strolling through the Parkdale area on a Saturday morning. Was greeted at the door by the most adorable store puppy (Olive), who I spent several minutes petting and cooing to with great delight. The staff were also beyond lovely, cheerfully offering assistance without being overbearing. Coriander Girl offers a wide variety of beautiful things to admire, including stationary, candles and of course, flowers. Do NOT use this company. I just had a very unpleasant experience dealing with Amira, she was rude and very unprofessional. I asked for clarification on which flowers would be used in a bouquet I was ordering, it's always hard to order over the phone and trusting that a place will have taste. I had the phone on speaker phone and when I hung up, my husband goes "wow- she was very rude! I don't think we should use that company, bad vibes!" Such a lovely place. The shop is adorable and the girl working there was very understanding about my budget, $15-20, I wanted a simple bouquet with pastel colors. The wait was only around 15 minutes and she was very sweet. The arrangement was so pretty, it looked as if it came out of a magazine. Like the other reviewers said, the style is very rustic and anthropologie like, not gaudy at all. The store sells cards, lots of succulents and other good gifts as well. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. I am not from Toronto and found their shop through a blog, and I'm so glad I did! One look at their Instagram page and I was sold. I gave them preferred colours and flowers but free creative license, and the arrangement they put together was absolutely stunning! If I lived closer, I would hire them for my wedding for sure. This is without a doubt the best florist in Toronto. Sadly, my latest order from them was to commemorate our family dog who unexpectedly passed away after 10 years. I was in a particularly delicate state (read: a total mess) but the customer service was SO kind and understanding. They expressed their condolences and took extra care to make sure the arrangement was bright and sunny, just like my dog had been. Furthermore, the arrangement itself was breathtaking and arrived in a beautiful hobnail milk glass jar which my family kept long after the flowers wilted. Although my experience with Coriander Girl has been limited to a couple occasions, I can confidently say that this is a very special place, for very special flowers. I used to love Coriander Girl, but in the past year or two, I've found that the quality has really dropped off. Unless you're spending $90-100 on an arrangement (or a fortune on flowers for your wedding), I've found that what you get is a mediocre, hastily thrown together arrangement of generic, uninspiring flowers. I ordered a Thanksgiving centrepiece recently and was extremely disappointed with what I got. The flowers were cheap and could have been found at a grocery store or the convenience stores on Roncesvalles. I resorted to asking my Mom to bring some dahlias from her garden to augment the bouquet. I recognize that the beautiful photos on their Instagram account are likely to be north of $150, but I think due care and attention should be paid to arrangements in the $50-75 range. read more
