After searching for the closest bail bond company, I saw KJ Bail Bonds and immediately called. I went on an anxiety fueled rant explaining to a very patient Kevin, that I was inexperienced with the process, that I was new to VB and I wanted to get my guy out ASAP. He stated that he would have to drive out to the Oceanfront (constriction to the Courthouse was the cause) to post bail even before having the cash in-hand. He also called beforehand so they would be aware of his arrival and made sure to give all the details to go with it so the process would go quicker. We met at the Courthouse 20 minutes later, I paid him and as we waited, he explained what will happen after, the importance of not missing any Court appearances and the consequences to the both of us if we didn't follow his directions. Surprisingly, not even 10 minutes after we pulled into the parking lot, my guy was walking toward us.. I'm not sure how long Kevin would've waited with me but I'm quite sure he would've stayed until he saw that he was out. Kevin made a would-be terrible experience a pleasant one, and in saying that, you can tell that he is a generally good, decent human and that's so hard to find nowadays.
