It was on a thin tortilla which I loved because they packed it with egg, avocado, meat and potatoes! Sooooo amazing.... And it was super flavorful! Then we got all of the special sauces and we were glad we did! We especially loved the jalapeño ranch and the Sriracha sauce..... . My boyfriend got the Bleu boy burger with onion rings on the side. The burger was crazy juicy and cooked perfectly medium well! You would never think that this place was cranking out bomb food.... But they definitely are! Stumbled upon this place as we were craving some burgers! Small place so not a ton of seating but they have inside and outdoor seating available. The place was empty when we went so ordering and food was fast! We got the chili cheese burger & the cheeseburger with bacon. Both amazing and cooked perfectly as I like my burgers Medium. Ordered the Blue Boy which had bacon, caramelized onions, and blue cheese on a brioche bun with a side of fries. Also tried their Jalapeño Ranch which was delicious. While I enjoyed the burger overall I thought the patty itself wasn't well seasoned and the blue cheese overpowered the taste of everything else a bit. I added some jalapeño ranch to it and it gave it a really nice kick. The bun texture was perfect. The fries had a nice crunchy texture but were a bit on the bland side. Again, the jalapeño ranch came to the rescue. Next time I'll probably go for a more simple burger or maybe their breakfast burrito since they serve it all day. Hooray for all day breakfast! The staff was really professional and helpful and the prices weren't bad ($13.22 for the burger, fries and drink). Even though the burger and fries didn't come out exactly as I like them I still enjoyed my meal here so I'll definitely come back and try something else and hope it's more to my liking. We were kind of in the area, but not really, and we were looking for food. I mentioned that I could go for a burger and this place popped up. This place is like the Harry Potter magic where you wouldn't notice it unless you already knew it was there. Tucked away in the Lawndale civic/government center area, it would be dangerous if I worked nearby. These burgers are amazing. Even for a Sunday, when the surrounding buildings were mostly closed, this placed turned out all top notch eats. These burgers were huge! Everything was served hot and juicy. Bacon was crispy, the onion rings were crunchy, the buns were toasted but soft, and all of the ingredients were fresh. My foodie partner loves the a Bacon Western Burger, and he mentioned how the Cowboy Burger is hands down a hundred times better. The dipping sauces were even a great surprise. The Jalapeño Ranch and Chipotle Mayo were spicy and perfect for dipping. I could see those sauces poured into one of the classic burgers to kick it up (not that the classic burger needs anything added to it, but if you like experimenting...). The chili cheese fries were potato brick heaven. I'm not sure if they homemake their chili, but it was perfect with the cheese and everything melted together. [Review #396] 2019 Yelp 100 Challenge (46/100) Corner Burger was a random find & bookmarked over a year ago, but I'm never in the neighborhood even though it's somewhat en route home (I don't date deviate during work rush hour traffic). I had a personal appointment that puts me near Lawndale so here I am. Pun intended? This joint actually sits on the corner of 147th St. & Burin Ave., across from the local library & city hall. \ (^o^) / There's a handful of free parking by the restaurant, & I scored the closest spot. Whoohoo! =) This burger joint, while compact in size, has plenty to offer... from burgers to salads, quesadillas to crepes, even breakfast! :-O The dining area is clean & neat, consisting mostly of bar seating. Maybe 24 seats? There's a high chair that makes CB's toddler-friendly, though the menu may be limiting on what they'll eat. A flatscreen, at the back of the restaurant, is on for your entertainment. And the nearby unisex restroom is clean & well-stocked. I'm usually straightforward with burgers, opting for the mainstay with cheese, or I crave for something with some heat... so I ordered the #5 SOUTHWEST BURGER (beef patty, jalapeños, pepperjack cheese, jalapeño ranch, green & yellow chili peppers) cooked medium & FRIES. Corner Burger isn't exactly fast food because there was only 1 customer ahead of me... tick tock, tick tock... it was awhile before I got my burger. And Oh My Gee, this heaping, juicy, hot burger is delish!! But it's cooked closer to medium-well. It's got a touch of heat from the jalapeños, chili peppers, & pepperjack cheese that meshed well in a cornucopia of spiciness. Though I tasted the cool & creamy ranch, I wasn't able to pick up any jalapeño flavor, probably masked by all the other spicy ingredients. The spicy stuff is on the lower end of the Scoville scale, but those with low tolerance for chilies may find the #5 too spicy. The brioche is soft & just bordering on excessive, but just enough to absorb the juices flowing down my hand. Generous with crinkle-cut fries that was served pipin' hot & crisp, but over-salted. =( It was manageable & edible after wiping off the excess salt. It was a late lunch so I'm hungrier than usual, otherwise, I probably would have been satisfied with just the burger, the brushed off salty fries sealed the deal & quieted the growling stomach. o-O Dipping sauces are an extra charge unless it's ketchup. Make your burger a combo & save $1.30, choose fries for $3.25, or onion rings/sweet potato fries for $3.75. Fast service that could be a bit more friendly... while there weren't too many dine-in customers, the phone kept ringing during my 15-min. stay. Prices are reasonable in proportion to the serving; a good value for your buck. Slightly out of the way, I'd make that drive & sink my teeth in the #5 again, I just need to remember to ask for the fries unsalted. Recommended: #5! read more

YES! After my epic fail experience at BurgerIM, I've found someone to restore order in my foodie world. Been waiting a while to try this place and found a reason after going to the Japan Fair in Anaheim. My group had planned on feasting at the food booths. We did not expect the CROWD. That left two of us to find an alternative plan. Corner Burger it was. I ordered their #4 Cowboy burger with BBQ sauce, cheddar, & onion ring on a brioche bun. They take the time to ask how you want your burger cooked which I appreciated. My wife had their classic. The meat on her medium well was a little pink so you might want to order a bit more well done than usual. The patty and ingredients were fresh and tasty. I loved the fact they serve crinkle cut fries. Can't go wrong with crinkle cut. Oh, and props for putting burgers in a box you can recycle instead of the usual foam. The service was impressive. Their cashiers are polite and efficient. The restaurant is clean. I was very pleased with their operation. We did order some crepes but haven't gotten to them yet since lunch was so filling. We just got off the plane and was starving. Looked on Yelp for a good burger joint nearby and landed at the Corner Burger. Staff was friendly, service good and quick. I ordered the classic with bacon and cheese combo with no tomato and added grilled onions and onion rings and my boyfriend had the classic with cheese and crinkle cut fries. Fries were just perfect, not too crispy and seasoned well. The onion rings were the best I have had in quite some time. Not greasy, really good flavor and crispy but not over cooked. The ranch tasted house-made and was thick. The burgers were good, messy and flavorful. Juicy and didn't taste like they came from a frozen patty. Buns soft and fresh. Massive brioche buns that nestle the burger, veggies and all the other ingredients that make up your classic or gourmet burger. Not a huge fan of the brioche as they tend to get soggy fast but these are massive and held up quite nicely - enough to change my mind about brioche? Maybe. I like that you can select your meat temperature, we both ordered medium. Unfortunately both arrived medium rare, we ate and enjoyed them but made a note to call this out when we visit again. Blue cheese was abundant, bacon was crispy not skimpy and veggies fresh and crisp. Thumbs up. Onion rings were hot and crispy good. The French fries were underwhelming, they arrived less than hot not even warm. I ate maybe 5 fries before I called "finished", but mostly because I wanted to eat the burger and with the fries it was just too much food. Note to self, share the onion rings or insist on fresh, piping hot fries (to share). Each came with a dipping sauce, I chose garlic mayo, my best friend chose jalapeno ranch. Garlic mayo fell short of the garlic, too bland for me. The jalapeno ranch was out of the ballpark delicious- we made a note to keep it at the top of the list and order it by the gallon next time. Seriously the sauce is that good, and darn spicy too. Cleared our sinuses fantastic! Quaint little joint I imagine is packed at the prime dining hours. Tables outdoors too so take advantage of our amazing So Cal weather, a burger al fresco - nothing wrong with that. Service was very friendly and fast too, so had I been in the mood to share our experience I'm sure the staff would have fixed the issues lickety split. I'm purposefully cautious when bringing this up, I just dont like wasting food and the thought of new burgers and fries to make the order right was just something I didn't want to do tonight. Delicious food and friendly staff that treats you like family! Went here for a day with my youngest godson. I ordered the Blue Boy burger. It was good but my only gripe would be that they should attempt to melt the blue cheese or make it into a sauce. I would give it 5 stars but the customer service, whether you're ordering person or over the phone, is a hit and miss. Mostly a miss. The young lady that might be the daughter of the owners, is not friendly. Especially when placing an order over the phone "Corner Burger please hold." People who work here are weird. On June 5th I'm walking my dog at the park across the street from "Corner Burger" and one of the workers or managers a Hispanic lady comes running out of the restaurant yelling at me to clean up my dogs poop from the grass. Hispanic Karen is crazy and doesn't understand female dogs squat when they pee. I've been walking my dogs at this park for years, I'm here everyday and have always cleaned up my dog poop!!!! Not sure how this crazy Hispanic Karen expects me to clean dog pee off of grass. As far as the food it's nothing special! The Corner Burger is a new burger joint that opened up earlier this year. I found out about it because they had a deal through Groupon. My coworkers and I came here during lunch and the restaurant wasn't too busy. Corner Burger is a small place with ample seating. You can sit at the counter near the grill, at the counter facing the wall, or outside. The owner of Corner Burger is nice and is usually there when we have gone. I've had their turkey and chicken burgers and prefer their turkey burger. Both are pretty good, and they come in a great big bun with the right amount of butter on it. Both times I've had the breakfast burger which comes with bacon, eggs, and cheese along with the meat of your choice. If you are into the low carb thing, you could also get your burger wrapped up in lettuce instead of a bun. The onion rings here are huge pieces, and the fries are good. Some fries are almost as long as your hand! You are even able to customize your own burger, kind of like at The Counter. I like Corner Burger. read more

This is like between 2.5-3 stars. Totally forgot to write a review for this place. My buddy and I went here before I left town. I ordered the all day breakfast burger without the thousand island dressing and some sweet potato fries. Had a Coke to drink. Breakfast Burger- Just ok. It really didn't do anything for me. Maybe the secret to its goodness is the thousand island dressing? The burger itself tasted like it wasn't seasoned at all. The egg was fried hard almost and didn't have a runny yolk. The provolone cheese was mild and probably would have been better if it was American cheese. Meh...was not too impressed with this particular burger I ordered but my buddy loved his (Cowboy Burger). I think I just chose the wrong type of burger combo. At least the bun was good. Next time I would create my own. Sweet Potato Fries- These were really good and plentiful. These combined with a good burger from here would be a great lunch. Coke- Coke products which is always good. Overall I was not too impressed. Ill come back again since this place is close to my moms and try something else out. The bun was greasy on the outside, and extremely dry on the inside. The meat was tough and not juicy at all.
