I really like this store. It's a good place to get a bargain. It has three areas: the left area…read moreseems to be the most expensive, the right area has the cheapest stuff, and the entry/middle area falling somewhere in between. I always stick to the cheap area on the right. So far I've bought a futon, a tall shelving unit with wicker sides, a ~5' tall bookcase, and a rice cooker. Most things have stickers with dates, the prices dropping as each date passes. If a date drop is close enough, they may go ahead and give it to you for that price, even if the date hasn't passed yet. I can't remember what I spent on the futon and shelving unit, but the bookcase was just a smidge under $9 and the rice cooker was $5. The workers are polite and helpful. They cleared off the bookshelf for me and loaded it into my vehicle. The store accepts cash and cards.

We were visiting from CA and asked the lady before leaving for some suggestions for lunch. She gave us a recommendation in downtown that she said she loved. We ate there and were in awe by how good the food was! I was able to find some pretty cool antiques here. Namely a small McCormick Corn Whiskey glass jug. If you are willing to take the time to thoroughly look through this warehouse you may find some nice treasures of your own. I personally have never seen such a big antiques-only shop. Very cool place and it is away from the downtown area so parking is abundant. Check it out!

They also have limited hours which can be a problem for anyone who works and/or has a busier schedule. The only day I can visit is Saturday and they close at 4pm even on that day. They are closed on Sunday. The prices are reasonable for a thrift store and they have half off based on the color of some tags. I did find one item half off. A fun storage container. I got a cute top to to wear with leggings for $3. They have a small room in the back that is called the vintage room. There were a few, nice pieces but they were all very small sizes. They were okay prices but maybe a smidge high for thrifting. That selection was a little disappointing but maybe it's better on other days. They had a big table of Dunkin' Donuts bagged coffee and pods at really good prices but it was all pumpkin spice which really isn't my thing but if it's yours, you should head over (this is as of 2/4/23)! I may visit again and check if they sometimes get in other flavors. Have cash on-hand or be prepared to pay an additional 4% fee to use a debit or credit card. The store isn't that big and I was there on a Saturday, so it was rather crowded and I had to stand in line about 10-15 minutes because there was only one register. That's not a complaint because this is a small, charity thrift store. I bet the 2 or 3 ladies I saw who appeared to being working there are volunteers. I just want to people you know what to expect, so of you are in a big hurry, you may want to skip going until you have a little more time. The neighborhood in Mandeville where it's located is a walkable area with a couple of restaurants right down the street, The Rusty Pelican and Hambone. Free public parking lot is directly across the street from Gran's if you can't find a spot on the street. If you like thrifting, you should check out Gran's if you are in the neighborhood.

My mother and I got there right when they opened. The large artwork outside with old signs was so captivating. The building was huge and then we found out there were TWO BUILDINGS. SCORE! We were here for about 2.5 hours. There is so much to look at! It looks like there was sections within the store where different collections were curated. There is absolutely everything you can think of from Taylor Swift themed items, plants, artwork, vintage plates and glassware, old gaming systems, books, jewelry, home decor, old signs, hard to come by sodas, and MORE. I came away with some treasures like food shaped magnets, a chicken shaped trivet, napkin holder. and a vintage sconce. It was so cool to explore through the second floor, old van with vintage dishes, and even a room dedicated to spooky stuff. Everything seemed priced well and in fairly good condition. We couldn't stop talking about this place after we left. What a gem of a place.
