The stones we had put on our front stairs were failing after 15 years and there were a number of bricks starting to break down on our over 40 years old house. Since we are a corner lot our home is exposed on 3 sides and a lot of snow, ice and rain damage occurs. I was very impressed by this very personable young man and the work ethics and diligence he showed. His professional attitude towards the work and his constant double checking the alignment of the stairs and bricks with levels assured me everything was being done of the highest quality.

What I care about now is finding nice tiles. Ciot is one of the tile stores on Jane, and you won't be able to miss this place with its big sign right in front. It has the nicest tile and granite, and I believe they have the largest collection of granite. There is a big showroom of everything. The salespeople are nice and knowledgeable. There is a clearance section, and you would be able to save a big chunk of money if you were lucky enough to find something that fits in your design. Sign in with the receptionist and they will assign a staff to help you choose and to give advice. Samples are allowed to take home to match. I purchased 3 pieces of tile trim from them 3 weeks ago, while the sales staff at the time were helpful they didn't fulfill their commitment in making sure you understood their return policies before you left. I know it's also the customers responsibility, however a simple comment such as "these are final sale" before I left would have been nice, especially since we talked for 10 mins, wondering if it would work in my application. To this point I'm ok, however when I tried to return them they said, sorry you can't return those, they were brand new, never used and in their original condition. Not pleased with that I asked to speak to a manager, Lauren the customer service manager was bold, didn't have a hint of empathy and out right rude. She stuck to the policy and was very cold about it. If this is who leads the customer service team then I'm concerned for others experience. Now let me state we are talking about approx $40, given the magnitude of this organization some flexibility should have been considered. I would understand if the product was open or used, and hard to resell, however the opportunity wasn't even given to inspect them, and in fact it is stocked right next to the counter so it wouldn't have taken 10 seconds to place them back in inventory. I have escalated and it's not the money but the principle, be careful with the sales techniques and make sure you understand the policies, consider a competitor that is more flexible and willing to work with the customer rather than fight you over something small.

While deciding on the scope of the job Behtash was consistent with prompt responses and information. The basement waterproofing was done by Ade, Shy and Vandyke. During the project they noticed a potential problem in the same room unrelated to their work. The team notified me and even paused while they had a specialist stop by and check it out. This was above and beyond and extremely helpful. The second project was my front steps. Over the years the cement steps cracked and started to settle into the ground. The concrete repair team fixed this quickly, with excellent results. Andrew and Russel took the time to confirm my expectations of the job and answer any questions I had. The price is very reasonable too, and he's super accommodating. Joseph was also very timely (if not early) for the scheduled appointment. He's opening up his office in North York, but he does service clients across the city and maybe even St Catherines?
