The teachers are, for the most part, effective and ethical. There are a few bad eggs on staff, but they are by FAR in the minority. Athletic facilities are amazing, especially since the stadium was renovated. The main gym is one of the nicest in the Northern Section and the playing fields are in great shape. Definitely strong support for student athletes at Corning Union!

There are relatively few bullies, and most get kicked out by the end of freshman year. They hire the best teachers to do the job who know and really care about what they're doing. They don't focus much on sports, so if you plan on going to high school to play sports, this might not be the right school. What they do focus on is getting students ready for the world beyond high school. People who are bored with teachers droning on and on in lecture halls will find a nice surprise here in that the curriculum is project-oriented, often in groups.
