Wonderful place! My granddaughter is now 11 and still talks about the experience she had at the school and goes back to visit her teacher who is still there. My grandson who is now 3 attends the school and is learning so much and has a lot of fun. The staff is so friendly, knowledgable and experienced. School is very clean and follows Covid precautions. My youngest went to pre k here and my kids spend summers there while me and my husband work. The teachers are so on top of things. My kids never wanna leave and are always asking when they can go back. The teachers are friendly and kind. The office personal is always helpful and understanding. Can give no stars to this daycare. At first I thought they did great, but then the little things come out. If they don't like your child, they will do everything they can to tell you the child has issues. I went so far as to get a therapist and behaviorist to work with the child and school. The behaviorist told me that it was not so much a problem of my child, it was the way the staff came at him and dealt with him. (Beyond me of why I should have to have someone come in and teach the teachers how to deal with 2, 3 and 4 year olds)!!. On one occasion, one teacher locked him outside and a parent saw and went in and told and there was a bogus story made of why it happened, but no incident report or anything was given to me. The last straw was when the teacher grabbed him by his hair and drug him and again no incident report and not told about it. (I just happened to find all this out). But in the meantime, he was getting sent home because he was "bad"!!! The director is the rudest, ignorant person you can run into. There is a lot that goes on there that you will never know about. I had to enroll my child in a daycare program a needed one in a hurry due to work, I came across The Cortland Playroom and decided to go with them. From day one, I didn't like it. They over charge for services and the children are not very well supervised. The ladies in the office are rude and not pleasant by any means at all. On more than one occasion my child was sent home with her lunch box completely full and hungry. Her teacher told.my husband she and another child had run into each other and hit heads with no incident report, which in childcare, an incident is something that has to be done. I have background in childcare and this is one daycare I will never recommend to anyone. I do not know how they are still open. read more

Im not sure what the lady in the previous review was talking about my 2 children have been going to Cortland Playroom for years and they as well as myself absolutely LOVE it we have been to other daycares and my children where never taken care of as well as they are now n was never as happy and there are cameras in every room of the facility that are monitored by the office staff so im not quite sure why she said the children are not well supervised because THEY ARE!! Every teacher there is extremely respectful even the ones that my children dont go to always say hello and are friendly i would NEVER think of sending my babies anywhere else and i LOVE how they take the children on little adventures and field trips and have fun with them and have so many other opportunities through other companies that our children can participate in if you choose to i have ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS DAYCARE IT IS AMAZING NOT ONLY FOR MY CHILDREN BUT FOR ME ALSO!! The staff was unfriendly and very discourteous when I requested information about their program. They do not follow any state guidelines for staff to child ratio, but rather use their own. It is a daycare program trying to pass itself off as an "educational program," the "education" that they offer is what any daycare center does normally. The best option would be to find a reliable sitter, who would then provide more attention, better interactions, and help your children grow and develop in an appropriate manner. read more
