No branching out into other China Town restaurants for them. There is a huge range of dishes here with two lots of soup and a little bit of sushi. The interior is also pretty nice. There are big round tables for say 12 people which would be really good for parties. Lunch during the week is a really good bargain; you can eat a lot. Favourites include lemon chicken and crispy duck pancakes. Also, their take away carton looks really good value for city workers nearby who can't stop properly for lunch. The only downside is their desserts: ice cream, occasionally banana and pineapple fritters or buns. There is not much but you don't go there for the desserts you go there for the mains.

They always have a wide choice of dishes including crispy duck (which is not available in many such restaurants). When dining in some buffet establishments, you can be made to feel rushed, but that is definitely not the case here. The staff are attentive when you need them to be. When I have visited, the food has always been much higher quality than might be expected from a buffet restaurant and if you're like me, you can enjoy the accompaniment of a Chinese Tsingtao beer (or two) with your meal.

I decided to come here before I let loose the staff for their Xmas do…read more I thought it sounded like a condensed Red Hot Buffet, to which I thought the food quality would be even better, considering there would be less food stalls to monitor. When we arrived this place was packed, which I took to be as a good sign. But the layout made me feel like it was some cafateria, I did not feel comfortable, and the waiiter seemed quite disgruntled.. Choosing a glass of wine we set off to investigate the food counters...The chinese was the nearest one, and I always like to start off with a soup to whet my appetite.. This hot and sour soup was not bad, but it is difficult to get this wrong. While I was slurping on this there was a ''chef'' on the meat section cooking steaks to order. See this should be an awesome idea ..however...even if I ate meat I still would not have touched this... He was quite a portly chap, and had the same energy as the dead cow on the grill..to which he kept aimlessly slapping with a spatuala...when it was black.he went over the guests and plonked it on their plate , which sounded like a tile falling off the roof.. Bravely after this performance I went to look at what else there was to eat. Here is when things get worse...I must have tried EVERYTHING from noodles, curries, rice, pizza...to be repulsed. Everything had been left cooking all day and our table soon filled up with full plates trying to find something in vain that was edible.. If I were the waiter I would have asked what the issue was, considering how many plates they were taking away... Eventually after trying everything available we admitted defeat and decided to ask for the bill..which came to £40... I was not paying this, and decided to pay what would cover for the drinks and left. To summerise do not come here, there are plenty of other places that are good for buffets such as TOPS and a few in China Town... I am glad this place is easy to miss in the Printworks...

We took the lift up and was first greeted by a wind tunnel, even though it was indoors! Our friend asked how long as we could see there were quite a lot of people already, 15 minutes, so we waited. After about 25 minutes and more people later, the staff with the clip board came over and said to everyone that they could buy a drink at the bar, which obviously meant we would be waiting longer! After another 10 minutes, he let 2 other groups who'd got in after us in first, so my mate went and asked about it. He made some excuse about us having 5 people!! Then a couple of minutes later he called us and told us to follow one of the waitresses. We sat down and she just walked off. No explanation, nothing! Luckily, one of the girls had been there before so we asked her if we went to the bar ourselves or did they come and take our orders. After a few minutes another waitress came and ordered our drinks. We then went for our food. There were 5 of us but only 4 drinks came! She just plonked the drinks down and walked off before we could ask her. Few minutes later another waitress asked us if we'd ordered tap water so we told her that we were still waiting for another drink. When she came back it wasn't the drink my mate had ordered but she said that was all there was!!! No apologies!!! Food was as expected from a buffet, ok.

The food is what you would expect, lots of sweet sticky sauces and meats, a selection of currys, sushi, BBQ, crispy duck, and some veggie options too, but for the amount of food this place is churning out each hour they don't do a bad job and the food is tasty. But what I love about this place isn't the good (for an all you can eat) quality food... it's the experience! I love getting up with friends, plate in hand and having uber choice! However after…read morereading Mark B review he has said he wouldn have rated it higher if he had not attended Fazenda. Looking at the website I thought it was worth spending that extra fiver as it looked swisher. Using the websites booking system it was very simple to pick out slot for 19:30. On arrival there was a reception desk who immediately acknowledged us and a waitress who I felt had been waiting for us led us immediately to a comfy leather booth. The waiter who served us for the rest of the evening queried whether we has been before. When we all shook our heads he explained that after helping ourselves to the salad bar we would simply flip this carded disk to green when we wanted meat and red to stop. After choosing a fazenda cocktail and malbec we waited for our drinks before we set off. The booth was stunning we were walled in by bottles of wine . In front lay the well presented salad bar and the lighting in general made it feel eloquent. Browsing the salad bar made me happy it consisted of various cheeses, sushi, stuffed peppers, dolmas, asparagus, stir fry, mushroom and other rices, roast potatoes, pork stews, prawns in mango, whitebait, chorizo and many others . Basically it wasn't your average salad bar it was creative and hard not to go mad with it. Sitting down with our catch we flipped the disk to green and let the meat commence. The service was so frequent and attentive there were no gaps on waiting for meat when it was set to green. We had beef skirt, pork belly, chicken hearts (thought I would give it a go!) Rib eye steak and various other cuts of meat cooked to my standard I.e rare. However my friend was a well done person so the waiters would cut bits from different parts to ensure this. After devouring some minted lamb the waiter asked if there were anything else on the meat menu that we had not tried. Spying the chicken and bacon, black pudding and Gammon with pineapple we selected these. What I noticed is that they do have a veggie option of pumpkin and goats cheese risotto and gnocchi. They also offered tuna steak for pescaterians. To finish I chose a light sorbet consisting of raspberry, scoop of mango and a third scoop of lemon and lime. Overall I could not fault the service so we agreed to the service charge. The ambiance was great and the food. For £32.60 A head I would say it's worth it. I would suggest it's good for groups and couples.

According to people in the know, this is a hangout for all the local soccer folks. We were greeted promptly at the door by the owner, Mr. Wing and told that they were slightly backed up and could we have a seat in the small waiting area - sure no problem. Well it turned out that this was just their ploy for trying to increase the sale of alcohol as the restaurant was only half full. Three different people stopped by during our short wait asking if we'd like to order a drink. We were shown to our table, a nice table in the corner. The restaurant offers lots of privacy as there are booth-like dividers between many of the tables. All the employees were Chinese and the wait staff all wear white gloves. The service itself was crisp, formal and efficient. They have a vast menu and we sampled 3 different items. Alas, I wish the quality and taste of the food measured up to the service. For my taste the food was bland and rather uninteresting. Not at all what we had expected when we were told this was the "best Cantonese Cuisine in Manchester."

The staff were very nice, seating us in a nice location, and although we were only a small party, nothing was a miss. We were brought prawn crackers, some other cracker things, and some sauces. I am not sure what the other crackers were, but they are out of this world! one of the waitresses said they were fried dumpling mix or something, cant find them anywhere else though. We ordered some very nice starters, gorgeous spring rolls, prawn toast, i would highly recommend trying these. Also we had some duck in lettuce leaves, and some prawn in lettuce leaved. Cant remember exactly what but they were both fantastic. I had salt and pepper ribs, and i have never seen ribs like them before! they were massive, very weel seasoned and melt in your mouth. For main course we have sweet and sour chicken, and prawn in ok sauce. both with rice and both were fantastic. This spot had decent reviews and it was open for an early dinner so we stopped in. It was absolutely delicious and definitely hit the spot for what we were hoping to get. We split everything between 4 of us so we shared the short ribs, the shredded beef in spicy sauce, egg-fried rice, and then the pork dumplings, shrimp dumplings and red bean buns. The ribs and beef were delicious - a really tasty sweet and spicy sauce. The dumplings were great and served steaming hot. All of us were pleasantly full after the meal and it was all cooked hot and fresh. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Holy crap, was this place good, and my sheltered students agreed: Red Chilli's food is better than anything available at where we live in the States! I ordered the Gong Bao Chicken (Kung Pao, for those Yankees who often get Panda Express) and...wow. Not only was everything super fresh but there were flavors/seasonings in the dish that I had never experienced before. I would certainly come back here again if I return to the area. The negatives, however nit-picky: The entrees don't come with rice (though, that could be my American fatness talking). The side of fried rice we did order was pricey and good, not great. Also, for those who are used to a Chinese restaurant menu in America, you might find Red Chilli's menu to be a little limiting, as there's no General Tso's Chicken or something similar.
