After a recently poor experience at another local salon, my experience at Cosmo was a breath of fresh air! The vibe inside is a positive, upbeat one. The employees were laughing and chatting happily. The pedicure I had after a long winter (read: callous ) was absolutely amazing! It included a nice massage and true attention to detail. Love the ambiance and decor of the place. It's clean, modern and service has been very prompt. Plenty of color selection with names like OPI in collection. Tons of massage chairs and even more of a private space in back for MEN who are timid to do nails up front, private parties or when it's too packed. Refreshments always offered. I go to this nail shop very often since discovering the place. My pedi usually last a whole 2 weeks. My nails are always lovely. I haven't had a bad experience because all nail techs are super laxed and never rushing you, but I still haven't found any nail shop that can maintain my manis for more than a week. I am very picky when it comes to my nails. Being new in dallas (coming from Boston) it was hard to find a good nail salon until a friend of mine recommended me this place. When I arrived they are so accommodating and so sweet. When I came in they asked if I was thirsty and wanted anything to drink. They have a wide selection of color. I do a nice French ombré or pink or nude. They're pedicure are amazing after a long day of standing on your feet (I'm a hostess) they do an amazing job of getting me comfortable; asking me if the water is too hot or cold. For my nails they do an amazing job at shaping! SHAPE IS KEY and let me tell you they are perfectionist. They always ask me if I am happy with my shape and always ask how short/long I want it. I love getting pedicures here! I don't remember the name of my nail tech, however she did a wonderful job. The last time I got my toes done here with regular nail polish, they lasted well over a month before chipping at all. The employees are very friendly and always offer something to drink. The place seems very clean and the inside decor is nice. They take their tools out of an unopened sterilization package whenever I go there which shows they're clean. This was one of the nails salons that opened around the Murphy/Fm area. My review is long over due. So far I love the nail techs there because they sanitize as they go. I am very big on that because the last place I went to gave me an infection and man I was livid! So far this location has my business unless I am in a hurry like a broken nail but usually this is my go to salon. I always get my eyebrows and my armpit waxed here too. My usually place for Brazilian has to be in allen because I love the blue sensitive wax. But I feel cloth works better with smaller hairs and more refine. I guess for me is. If you do it right through out I will continue to stand my a location. I had all my bridesmaid (7) total including me last minute and they were able to accommodate because the other location booked my appointment and made us wait 30mins to an hour! I've been coming here for a couple of years and usually very pleased with results until yesterday. I went with my daughter to get gel manicures. We go in, tell them what we want and they tell us to go have a seat. They bring us books to pick our color. A girl comes to my daughter and asks what color, goes and gets it and starts her manicure. Nobody comes to ask me and then they come grab the books. I sit for 15-20 mins and then say something to the guy at the front who must run the place. He acts like he has never seen me and speaks to someone in Vietnamese and tells me it will be another 10 mins. I admit they were pretty busy. I continue to sit. My daughters nails get finished and the girl doing hers gets the books and asks what color I want. She understood very little English but I told her no thank you. I came to get my nails done WITH my daughter. She just smiles. We go to checkout and I say something to the dude at the front and he never acknowledges that they made a mistake, never apologizes, nothing. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. Needless to say, I won't be back which is sad since it is so convenient to where I live. read more

I love this spa I went to Azura for years and was never treated like a queen like they do here. My next gen nails and pedis look beautiful are amazing and last longer. Lilly who was at Azura then lett to work strictly for longmi. I followed her there. since she left for California I've had the worst time finding an amazing lash stylist. Was looking for the past yr and a half. I'm particular. Finally I did!!! Hannah at Cosmos is amazing she uses longmi and the lashes stay for ever and are full and think. I could not be happier. So glad hannah and I connected. At my last full I was having a hormonal breakout she took care of that also and my skin rapidly cleared up. I also get I am waxing done here at conference is so much more sanitary that anywhere I love her bed they use a new step for each child a dick into the wax so no germs transfer. I have visited this establishment a few times over the last two or three years for a pedicure because they are conveniently located, nothing outstanding or worth mentioning until today. I went in for a pedicure since the last one I got there didn't last very long. It wasn't too busy and I was (sort of) greeted and seated within a few minutes. It wasn't abundantly clear as to where I was supposed to sit, but since this wasn't my first rodeo I was able to figure it out. No one was communicating anything to me and the whole experience was pretty nonverbal overall. A tech came and went frequently without saying any words, then finally showed me a menu and had me choose what pedicure I wanted. I made my selection and waited. Things went relatively as expected apart from her heavy handed rough touch and fingernails digging into my skin occasionally. Then came the "callous removal". The tech got out the cheese grater, which for the life of me I still can't understand why that's even used as a pedicure tool, and I said I didn't want it used. I guess that was lost on her since it was used aggressively on my feet. I didn't realize until later in the procedure that it resulted in a torn, scraped area on my left big toe that is still raw more than 9 hours later. Right after the cheese grater, she applied something to the area that stung like mad. I asked her what it was and was met with silence-I'm assuming it was something that was meant to stop the bleeding. Anyway, after my feet had been treated like a block of hard cheddar, there was some sort of sloppy salt or sugar type substance that was "massaged" onto my legs followed by aggressive wiping, oily massaging and towels that were much too hot. By the time of the actual pedicure, she kept applying the stinging liquid and on top of that, she kept spraying alcohol on my feet for whatever reason and wiping my toes off which added to the discomfort. The polish was finally applied and I was free to go. I paid for the service but left no tip because the tech did not deserve one. My feet are no smoother than they were before my visit and I would wager that they are in worse shape considering I now have a sizable sore on one of them due to the tech's negligence. It looks like I'll be looking for somewhere else to get my occasional pedicure! read more
