It's a fun park! They had a huge playground area. We'd went right after rain with a 4 and 2 year old, but will definitely be back after they grow. My kiddos played on the smaller playground for almost 3 hours before we had to leave. We also had a picnic at one of the shelters. It was well kept and felt safe. read more

Cosmo park is a very large park in Columbia, Mo located Business Loop West. They host all sorts of sports including softball, baseball, football, tennis, golf, horseshoes, and soccer. They also have lots of pavilions for public use and most are available for private use as well. Most of the pavilions have restrooms, trashcans, and bbq grills on site if not very nearby. They recently overhauled the kids play area, which hosts numerous fun activities for kids. They have a dinosaur fossil area, where kids can dig in the sand for fossils. They have a huge hill covered in tires and slides. A dinosaur play area, a huge climbing contraption and lots of slides and swings to choose from. If sports or children doesn't peak your interest, Cosmo Park also offers 2 fishing lakes, a leash-free dog area, a skate park, nature and bike trails, and remote control car track. If you have some time on your hands and want to get outdoors, this place has lots to offer! read more

This is one of the coolest parks in Columbia. It's so big that you can do almost anything here. My office has held their field days here a few times, and my husband and I like to come here for exercise and just to get outside. Some cool features, all of which I have used and can attest to: Batting cages Jungle gym Hugely long track Softball fields Pokemon stops and gyms Open stretches of grass just for laying in Some features I have not used: Tennis courts Volleyball courts Fishing Golfing Skate park Any of the half dozen shelters/picnic areas The parking lot is a confusing maze, but the real reason I took off a star was because it gets really dark here. My husband and I got separated one day (he was running, I was walking) and even on the trail it was impossible to see after sunset. At one point I just decided to wait near a picnic area and I still couldn't see my husband as he was approaching. Doesn't seem super safe, and I would like better lighting at night, especially since the park is officially open until midnight. But during the daytime and evening, I always have lots of fun. read more

We've come here twice recently. They have nice enough playground equipment and pavilions but the bathrooms are unacceptable.

Except for the obvious parents, from time to time. The over all improvement of this wonderful park has been terrific! We keep you entertained coming back to watch it grow! read more

The park was very clean and everyone around was wonderful! We were on vacation in Missouri and the kids needed a break, so we went here. Kids had a blast. There was something for everyone. Which was perfect, since our four are under the age of 8. read more

You can do anything here!! Not anything anything, but theres a lot to do! Skate park, tennis court, golf course, fitness trail, softball/baseball fields, pleny of open grass for soccer and lots of shelters for shade from the hot hot sun. They also rebuilt the playground for kids and it is pretty big and is very nice! Also I've found that there are a lot of empty parking lots so learning to drive here would be a great option as well! read more

Cosmo Park is a great multi-use park in the middle of town. It used to be an airport, so the parking lot can take some getting used to ... lots of one way divided roads ... but once you learn your way around, you have no trouble getting to all the different parts. Amenities include a number of ball fields for soccer, football, baseball, and softball, a fishing pond, a number of pavilions with sturdy picnic tables, a recently renovated playground with lots of traditional and more modern/updated playground equipment, a swimming pool-turned skate park, and a mountain biking trail (Rhett's Run) that descends the hill into a wetland area at the northern edge of the park. The trails in that area connect to the Bear Creek Trail, which extends through Garth Nature Area east to Garland Middle School. There are also a number of paved and unpaved hiking trails within Cosmo Park itself. It truly has something to offer for everyone. read more

This public park has about 8 tennis courts. You can turn the lights on at night and play until midnight. The lights stay on for a couple hours at a time, so be careful pushing those controller buttons. read more

This enormous park used to be an airport, I'm told. They have great fields for softball/baseball, large areas for soccer, and a great big playground. Fun place to come on the weekends to hang out, no matter what you like to do. read more
