Read their response to my initial review to learn from my mistake, if you want a full service pedicure get the Organic Spa Pedi. So purely based on the services I received (and not my expectation) I update my review to a 5 star rating for quality, but was tempted to give a 4 for cost... Although I know Copenhagen is just a really pricey city, so I don't feel good about docking a start for cost. Just know it's a little more money than the average American pedi.

I finally found an all natural, oil-based line of bar soaps at this shop!!! The store also carries some great product lines such as Julique and Juice Beauty. Everything is set up nicely and the store feels spacious and clean. It's incredibly easy to access by multiple public transit lines and is in a gorgeous neighborhood. The women at the shop were quite knowledgeable and were able to suggest some other products for me based on my need. I'll be returning next week to buy these products next week once the new shipment arrives. PS: for those of you who do not know, when you purchase a product with palm oil, you support businesses that destroy rainforests, ecosystems-- particularly harming orangoutang populations.

When I first stepped in to the shop I loved the intimate feel. Peeping around the corner (the shop consists of two small little rooms) I was concerned that the store, despite being high on charm-factor, would be low on Danish-factor. I spied a wide selection of American TOMS shoes and noted that the store is into Pendleton, Petit Bateau, and Kiss My Face products. I adore all of these things - in fact, was shopping while wearing my own pair of TOMS - but wanted to buy something distinctively Danish. *Patience, self* My true find was a BEAUTIFUL BAG from a Danish designer (childhood friend of the owner, if I'm not mistaken). Some examples on the store page, but it really doesn't match going in and seeing these beauties in person. Additional incentive to shop at My Favourite Things: the owner is a delight! At the end of my trip my finances were a mess of Scandinavian currencies, Euros and blocked credit cards but she very helpfully cobbled together a mixed payment plan for my purchase. Appreciated. The atmosphere is nice and tranquil, with Buddhist and Hindu statues tastefully dotting the spa and the outside patio area immediately adjacent to it. Sumptuously appointed reclining chairs with colorful cushions face a large whirlpool spa with 3 different jet settings. And, the ceiling above the whirlpool spa is festooned with stars. Showers with multiple heads and dressing rooms are nearby, as well as a hot wooden steam room and sauna. Colorfully decorated massage rooms offer total privacy. Comfortable robes are available at the hotel's front desk to hotel guests for use during their stay. And, unlimited use of the spa facilities (minus spa treatments) is included in the price of lodging. It can't get much better than this. Everything is relaxing and soothing to the limbs. But perhaps the most unusual attraction is a bucket shower where ice cold water literally cascades onto the rope puller's head from a large wooden bucket perched directly overhead when a rope tied to the bucket is manually pulled to overturn and provide a cold drenching and a refreshing dunking between heat applications. Then, after a load of water is dropped, the bucket immediately rights itself and is automatically refilled. So, drenchings can be repeated if one happens to be in a masochistic mood. This is one fine spa!
