But when you continuously get outdated boxed food or sour grape grapes or fruit that is rotten the money starts to add up that you spend here. I love this grocery store because the people are all very kind to you and you get used to seeing them. But they need someone to do quality control when they bring in the fruit and vegetables. One out of three times the fruit is rotten or un edible. Please people check dates on boxes and check the fruit before you buy it.

I've been to this discount grocery store twice this year and I like it…read more I do watch expiration dates and you may decide to or not. What I found is that they have quite a melange of products for sale here and most of them reasonably priced. I hit the jackpot when I located the Fancy Feast Pate variety kitty food. Eureka! Two for the price of one at .50 cents each. I also hit pay dirt on the Pure Harmony wet cat-food as well. .50 cents each. Purina Beyond, grain free Texas Beef Recipe wet dog food was a steal at .75 cents each 13 oz. tin. They have a freezer section here as well which keeps ice cream in particular frozen. They have a good selection of dry boxed cereal. Some of the boxes are smashed or dented but so far the bran flakes me and my Mom dine on are a steal at $.99-$1.50 each. The only area I think that I would like to see improved is the area at the check-out. There are 2 registers and two different lines but so far on both trips here, only one register and cashier can be seen checking patrons out. Even with a line which was consistent on both trips here; they didn't open the other register. One more area too is that of a itemized receipt. The receipt when looking at it has just prices and a generic if any description of the items. For me, a person who purchases Purina brand foods for my fur babies and participates in the "Member" part of the companies give-a-ways which require a paid receipt in order to receive rewards; unfortunately with the way the current system is; I don't qualify for my rewards (Purina) submission like this. Other than this; it's a solid store and worth looking into. They sell candy; name brands as well and ground coffee and more.

Rinse the bottle out 2-3 times, if a milk ring is still there, okay. I'm not going to put it through the dishwasher or use a scrubber on the inside. Okay, no big deal. But, don't pick up the bottle like it's contaminated. Don't act like it's dirty and disgusting. Don't act like the bottle is worthless. I didn't project those signals about you!

Due to several negative interactions I stopped shopping there and started shopping Safeway. Recently, I decided to give this store another chance. My first two shopping trips it felt like the old Raley's. Everyone was friendly and I was able to find what I needed easily. This evening I came in and felt like a criminal. The security guard was following me through the store as well as an associate. I tried to not over think it and continued my shopping. I proceeded to use self check out, scanned all of my items, paid for my goods and began to leave the self checkout area. The self check out cashier was starring me down like I didnt pay, looking me up and down as well as my cart. I still smiled and spoke first, saying thank you and have a good evening. The cashier maintained her demeanor, no smile, no have a good evening, no thank you for shopping with us. As I continued to the door the security guard was standing near the exit and at least he spoke and said have a good one! With cost of living continuing to rise you would think these associates would at the very minimum be polite. No one has to shop Raley's. There is plenty of cheaper options. I also understand that people steal at an alarming rate but if that's how a paying customer is treated, I will stick to Safeway. Raley's needs to really train their employees on customer service. People shouldn't walk out feeling upset or profiled. Especially, since the cashier was older, she definitely knows better. I won't be returning and neither will my family. If I could give a zero I would. No personality, no service, not even a thanks from the self checkout cashier or the associates that passed while I was shopping. I will give 100% gratitude to the lady in the deli department as always she was kind and friendly. I also included my receipt. Which also reflects I spend quite a bit of money there based off my discounts. Also, the aisle with all the individual cold drinks is filthy. The shelves are sticky and when you grab a red bull the bottoms of the cans are so dirty. Im talking debris, stuck to the shelf, and sticky. Do better !
