This attorney's office filed claims against my mother, who doesn't live in Long Island and whose…read morecar has never been there. The claims were brought within days of each other and were from two dates a month apart. Not only unethical but nonsensical; if he thought there were real claims, he should have checked the registration and wondered why someone driving a car registered in another city would have any reason to be in LI, twice, a month apart, and hitting people on the road both times. Quite sure he was either looking for easy claims on an older person or was too shortsighted to think logically about the situation. Addendum: when I called to speak with him about these issues, the secretary told me that she couldn't help and that he'd be out of the office for the next week. I'd thanked her, and she took down my number (but then, the next time I called, seemed to have forgotten that she spoke with me and told me again that she'd take my number, seeming to indicate that she hadn't taken it down in the first place). One of the claims was dismissed shortly after, insinuating that the insurance agent had been able to speak with Mr. Panzini and that he actually was available. Shady.
