This gas station at Costco is one of the older designs, with only two pumps per line. But it still offers the best gasoline prices in the area with good quality gasoline. Same as all the Costco Gas Stations. It is a self-service gas station. But they offer assistance for disabled people, or in case you have questions. The attendants there will help! All the gas pumps are fast and well-maintained. I didn't see any pump out of service when I was there. All the push buttons and gas guns are clean and have no damage. read more

I like this Costco Gas Station because it is so Close to 580 !!! Because they usually have the Lowest Price in town on Gasoline. It has a lot of Gas Pumps so the line moves pretty fast. Cons it gets packed on Weekends and the wait can be long. But this Costco Gasoline Station is still a Baller On a Budget Approved Establishment!!! read more

Costco Gas Station - Come early morning or you'd be waiting in line forever like me - Gas Stations Near Me - Livermore, California

As I say with all of my Costco gas reviews: Its Costco and its gasoline. Even if you don't need 25 gallons of sliced pickles, you can make up the membership cost just on the gas alone. Its typically 20-30 cents cheaper than the national brands and usually is the cheapest in a any given location. They are setup to be super efficient with long hoses so even if you driving an SUV and get on the wrong side you can pull it over. Plus they have a middle lane allowing you to hop ahead. Its always credit only and 89/91 octane no middle stuff. This is not a typical spot for us. But I was in the area and decided to stop by. First off the gas was a whopping 60 cents cheaper than the Chevron station down the block. Beyond the price, the lines were pretty bad and the pumps being two deep does not help with flow either. I almost decided to pass but stuck with it. Aside from that its really off by itself and there is not alot of other shopping around it. read more

Can't go wrong with Costco gas! Reasonable and lower prices than your 76 or Chevron gas stations. Lines do get long during the weekends but my pro tip is , either come early in the morning or after the store closes. The gas station stays open an extra hour after the store closes on weekdays and half an hour on weekends. You can literally roll right in, get your gas and leave within 10 minutes. read more

Costco gas.. what can one say? It's always the cheapest gas in the area. It gets CRAZY PACKED. For the most part it's not that long of a wait, but there is a wait! Anywhere from 5-15 minutes. It's located conveniently off 580 which is a plus for us commuters. There isn't always a traffic jam, but it can get real thick in here. For the price, it's worth the wait in my opinion. Easy in & out. I've never had any issues at the pumps. Have your costco card and payment method handy for a quick service. read more

I really like this gas station, I find that even if the lines seem long it moves relatively quickly. There's two stations on each side which I prefer versus the ones that have 3-4 because I don't like the middle spots lol I have a hard time paralleling in especially when people stand in the middle lane because their gas opening is on the opposite side of the pump. On top of this when you exit its relatively easy to find a parking spot as there's usually always someone pulling out. read more

Let's face it. The cost of gasoline in California is and will always be the highest in the nation. The only benefit of Covid-19 is that it has dropped the price of gasoline across the nation. For me, Costco has always been my go-to place to buy gasoline for my truck. I have yet to find another station that can beat the price of gas at Costco! I also love the one-way in and out protocol. Oh, Costco Livermore gas station. You see me here at least twice a week. Yes, I will drive out of my way to gas up here. I really wish there was a Costco gas station closer to me. Costco Danville will never ever build a gas station. It's unfortunate because their location is closer to me; but, because of this gas station; I will drive 25 minutes to "fill 'er up". Am I being economical? Probably not. I'm sure it's a wash after my drive. Still, I'll park and purchase a few items. Then, I'll drive a few more miles and hit up a couple of stores in Livermore. So, maybe it's slightly more economical since there are cheaper grocery stores in Livermore compared to San Ramon and Danville. Sigh. It's a win I guess. read more

Being a member and paying membership dues, I have to take advantage of the slightly discounted gas here. Yes there are long lines during peak hours, but it's expected. I recommend coming here early in the AM or right before closing. It's when the line is shortest. Currently as of 10/27/15 prices are running at $2.46 regular unleaded, and $2.46 for 91 premium. This location is somewhat remote, about a mile away from the nearest freeway entrance (Airway Blvd). Pump it up, I'm outta here! read more

Lucky to have Costco Gas not too far from home. I usually fill up in the mornings on my way to work and it's wide open. Other times it's like a veritable gas crisis with cars pouring into the parking lot and out onto the street. I guess it's because most times they're the cheapest gas in town however I don't know if you'd call over $4 a gallon cheap these days (thanks California!). In any case I am in and out with gas to get me to my limited destinations for a good week or maybe two. Happy to keep giving them my business for sure! read more

Love this Costco gas station, conveniently off the freeway and easy in and out. Coming from LA, this Costco is much needed for me as my tank is almost running out. Currently, the gas here is cheaper than the Costco in Orange County and Los Angeles County. To get the the end of the line, you have to travel towards the back and enter that way. Otherwise, you'll be making a few turns if you enter slightly earlier like we did. The pump here seems a bit older so don't be surprised if they will have to shut down and remodel this place for an update soon. The one by my house took about 2 months. I always stop by Costco and get gas with my Costco Visa card so I can get 4% back. Sure does pay for itself! read more

I don't know but for some reason Costco gas last longer throughout the week than any other gas stations.

I'm still glad this place opens at 6am cause I can drive over from my hotel easy and get gas with NO lines! But, the prices! Bay Area prices are way outta control! I just paid $3.55 per gal here! I just paid last week in NV at a Costco $2.95! Even in Stockton, at Costco it's just $3.15 .... but hey, that's Stockton ... I won't even get off the freeway in that town! Day or night, as long as this gas station is open there will be a line as if a hurricane is on the way and it's your last chance for gas. Don't be deterred. Wait it out. This is by far the cheapest gas you will find in the tri-valley area by at least 20-30 cents per gallon. The line moves fairly quick and I've never had any issues at the pump. You have to come in from the back though so don't try coming at it if you're already in the Costco parking lot. read more

Like some other reviewers mentioned, the entrance to the pumps is a bit confusing, even for people who frequent this place relatively often (like me!) I came by on a weekday at around 7:30 pm when traffic going eastbound was easing up, and this station was busy! I was nervous by how long it could take, but with at least 5-6 cars in front of me, and in less than 10 minutes-ish, it was my turn! Costco gas pumps are usually fast, so I don't know why I freaked out anyway. Hopefully they add the third pump to each of their lines in the future! read more

This facility I'd wide and lots of room. Don't let the long lines discourage you from queuing. 3 stations to a line and it has a lite system letting you know which bay is open. The prices are the best in the area. Worth the wait read more

Hallelujah! After hours of driving up 5, on the way home to the Bay from YSB SD '16, I somehow managed roll into this Costco Gas on the very faintest wisps of vapor left in my fuel tank. Cheap gas, I stretched my range to get it. & from what I saw driving by a Chevron down the street & around the corner, that's exactly what I got. That place was about 60 cents more per gallon. Yikes! No doubt that Chevron's high prices were because of its location right off 580. But this Costco Gas is only about 1/2 mile farther from the freeway. You just gotta know where to look. & have a Costco membership, of course. Lines on a Monday evening were short & I drove straight to the pump. All fueled up, for cheap, I was off to the last leg of my trek home. For any trip between the SF Bay Area & SoCal, this Costco Gas is a great option for filling up or topping off the tank. read more

One suggestion though for Livermore gas. When entering the driveway off of Constitution Dr. (from either direction) and it's backed up don't pull in behind the 1st (from the left) line which blocks cars from going in to the farther right lines. An employee directing traffic on these crazy days would be a big plus to reduce wait times. read more

I scooted on through here in the morning on my way to work. It's not far from the freeway and there was little to no wait. It does have less little stations as other Costcos in the east bay area, but there was no real hold-up. I have only visited this gas station a few times, but each time there wasn't a serious traffic jam that kept me held up for any long period of time. Costco always has cheap gas, it's the place to buy gas! But the lines here can be ridiculous but other times, it can be amazing. Each line has only 2 pumps, so it makes it go a lot slower and some people take forever to pump. I came here today to gas up, I had about 3-4 cars in front of me and it took me about 10-15 minutes to just get to my spot. It was a hot day too. I came here on a weekday and it wasn't too bad. So far in the east bay, I find that Costco Gas in Concord is probably the smoothest because there's more pumps and it moves faster. I think more pumps at each line = faster. I like 3 pumps line vs 2 pumps line. This place is also a little small, I feel like it's crowded and if you enter on one side of the parking lot, it might take forever to get to this gas station. Not a fan of this gas station personally but the prices are a win-win. read more

I am a Costco member, so this is my new go-to gas station for filling up when I head home to Bakersfield from visiting my brother in nearby Danville. The best selling point of purchasing my gas here is that Costco gasoline usually costs less than any of the stations located in the vicinity, but there are other reasons to fill up your tank here, too. Just be aware that you must be a member of Costco to purchase gasoline here. Did you know that Costco gasoline is rated as a Top Tier gasoline? Check it out http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers/ . All of the traffic travels in the same direction at the pumps (from South to North). Costco uses extra long hoses on their gas tanks, so it doesn't matter which line you get in or which side of the pump you pull up to as the hose will reach either side of your car. The gasoline flows really quickly from through the Costco hoses which helps keep the lines moving quickly. The flow rate is monitored and filters are changed if the flow rate goes below 8 gallons per minute. It seems like it takes no time at all to fill up my tank, even when it's almost empty. So don't be scared off if the lines at the pump appear to be long as they really do move quickly in comparison with other gas stations. This particular Costco Gas Station has convenient access both on and off the 580 Freeway at the Airway Blvd exit. Just take Airway Blvd North then take North Canyons Parkway East. Your GPS will tell you to turn South on Independence Drive, but don't be too quick to turn into the Costco parking lot or you'll get tied up in a traffic gridlock only to discover you're facing the wrong way. Locals enter the parking lot from the South off Constitution Drive. You can either turn South onto Constitution off North Canyons Parkway and wait till it swings East or turn West onto Constitution off Independence. It'll save you a lot of driving around the parking lot. You can pay for the gasoline at the pump with a debit card, just be ready to swipe your Costco membership card first. Unfortunately, like Arco, they don't take credit cards. You also can't use cash at the pump, though you can go inside Costco and use cash to purchase a Costco gasoline card if you wish. Costco gasoline is cheap, convenient, and the lines move quickly. An added bonus is that you could always run inside for a few quick free samples before jumping back on the road. The possibilities are endless. read more

Easy in and easy out... My main draws to Costco for fuel are the cheap member prices and the fact that it's part of Costco... I am an admitted lifelong Costco junkie (Gold Star Member since 1991 when I was old enough to have my own card on the family account- haha!) and general fan of their business practices and CEO, so my love overflows into this sector of the company as well. There isn't a convenience store attached like your typical gas station, nor is there a maintenance/ mechanic shop attached, but the good news is you can get tires and other automotive products at great prices in the warehouse, cheap, hot snacks, fountain drinks, soft serve and churros on the go at the concession stand, and/or a flat of your favorite candy bars for only about three times the price of a single candy bar at your normal gas station if you just go inside the store... If you have a Costco membership (and all the cool kids do), you should definitely check out out! If you don't have a membership, what are you waiting for?? read more

Costco Gas prices are amazing. Even though I'm a big fan of the app GasBuddy, it's really pointless when there's a Costco Gas Station nearby. I've never managed to find cheaper gas than Costco. While you may save a few coins, prepare yourself for the ultimate frustration. This Costco is insanely busy, as is the Gas Station. While the line does go pretty quickly there's always a few people that can't get with the program and hold it up. Just find your way to the end of the line and take a few deep breaths.
