Whenever I needed to stand up against bullies she was mean and told me to "ignore them" but ignoring DOESNT WORK! Yeah what good did that do? Did you ignore him when he called you that? Exactly! Idk if she's still working there but I'm glad I don't have to see her anymore! I'm so glad my mom put you in your place and threatened to report you to the superintendent if you didn't change your behavior with me because the way you behaved was like that of a bully, it was senseless, counterproductive and disgusting. I always behaved myself in your class but you showed the same animosity to me and students who behaved themselves better as you did to the bad kids. Our child did worse here and then EGCS illegally and forcefully dismissed our child from this school. Ca Ed code states "A charter school shall not encourage a pupil currently attending the charter school to disenroll from the charter school or transfer to another school for any reason except for suspension or expulsion". They also ignore 504 plans so don't think that will aid your child's success with this administration at this school. Horrible experience for our child!

At the other school she experienced every issue you can think from a public school; physical abuse, bullying, emotional abuse and a lack of support from staff. When transferred here, she excelled! They advocate for "mental health awareness" yet are uneducated and lack flexibility. This school is very high in academics, however is not at all a good school that shows compassion. This school has failed me many times. There is obvious bias where some students get better treatment and education than others. Along with that, the dress coding system is terrible. They heavily sexualize women and will immediately yell at students for wearing tank tops. The faculty is very unprofessional in this area. I personally wore a tank top that showed nothing but my shoulders and arms- no cleavage no legs. I paired it with a long flowy skirt, very modest. The staff members Maj Xiong rudely interrupted me during lunch, immediately aggressively yelled loudly about my apparel, and sent me to the office. The office then proceeded to apologize for the dress coding system and emphasized that they had to conform to the rules. It is absolutely pathetic that there is no change- no matter who you talk to or what you say, they do not care about students. Many staff members will admit to these flaws, yet NOTHING is done to fix it. This school is like a jail, there is no freedom nor any allowance for growth and self expression. So much is wrong with this school- yet they spend money on the wrong things. Terrible experience here, education is ok, but overall I don't suggest sending your kids here. They WILL struggle with mental health and staff members WILL make them uncomfortable. Many students are constantly crying everyday, I know so many students who cry at this school constantly. They are one of the few schools that offer an exchange program which my son participated in. He took Japanese for three years and went to Japan his second year and we hosted two kids this past March. Further, my attempt to find a principals or vice principals number to make a simple complaint to, failed. There is no number to call to reach any administration or staff. Zero number. Nothing.
