Initial Reaction: Côte is a UK-based chain that has a strong gluten-free menu. They are bonafide with their gluten free options. The duck confit and the pate were wicked good. As was the scalloped potatoes au gratin, which my wife hadn't had in forever due to it normally being made with gluten.
We enjoyed some great eats there and the cocktails were good as well. The Parisienne cafe design is wicked nice and cozy. Being that it was cold during that evening in Newcastle, the yellow-ish warm wall tones and warmth of the dining area especially across from the bar as we enjoyed seating overlooking the street put us at ease.
The service was solid albeit a little slow at time during our stay there. The only thing I didn't like was whatever large party was seated in the back while we were eating there that were loud, howling, and wailing. That was a bit annoying. But otherwise, we enjoyed our meal there. read more
