The University of Oregon has a great theatre program and turns out some really well done…read moreperformances in the recently renovated Miller Theatre Complex, easily accessible from E. 11th Avenue, just between Kincaid and Franklin Blvd. I'm surprised that more people, UO students included, don't know about the UT. I have seen several shows there and have enjoyed the variety of titles and styles of plays performed, the wonderful talent of the student actors, creative talents of the set designers and costumers, and skill of the lighting and sound technicians. The Robinson Theatre offers a traditional theatre with great seats and great visibility and sound. The smaller Hope Theatre is a flexible-space venue whose setup changes with each show, and can be configured in a variety of ways which creates a unique theatre experience for patrons. The spacious lobby offers leather couches and ottomans, displays to peruse at intermission, affordable concessions, and several accessible restrooms. This season, UO students can get free tickets to any UT show! Why wasn't this around when I was in school? Tickets can be bought at the door, or (recommended) ahead of time online or at the EMU box office 541-346-4363. I am impressed with this community theater. It's very well laid out. The stage has nice curtains…read moreand lighting, along with decent space for the performers to practice their craft. The facility's ambience has a modern feel to it, and it is completely wheelchair accessible with easy access to seating and exits. The audience seating is steeply angled to provide a clear view of the stage, and the chairs are comfortable. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. I look forward to seeing more performances here.

May the 4th Be With You A Eugene Symphony Event,…read moreStar Wars a New Hope The Eugene Symphony is absolutely flawless! True Professionals at their finest, they always leave me amazed. This event was Star Wars in a symphony concert. They performed so well I couldn't believe it. For 2 1/2 hours with not a missed note, skipped beat, not a single flaw. The music was performed seamlessly and perfectly to the showing on the screen. The event did have a comical side to it though. Similar to the 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' of years gone by, there were plenty of concert goers in full costume of various characters including those carrying lightsabers. $$TIP$$ Don't be duped by ticketmaster, they are an overpriced middleman service that just increases the cost. We saved $50 each on our tickets by calling the Hult Center directly and they mailed the tickets to us. Avoid Ticketmaster and save some money.

We were treated to a really fun swag bag that included some pre-event snacks, a pair of tickets, an invite to a pre-performance talk and great seats. Even without all of the Elite treatment the Eugene Symphony is truly exceptional. The works that they take on from classical to more modern and even avant garde are impressive and engaging. Having lived in larger metropolitan cities I'm thrilled to have such quality talent in our moderate sized city that attracts world class performers. I will genuinely be spending more time with the Eugene Symphony.

I would be giving the studio 5 stars except I met the owner the other day and she has an attitude. She is one intense person. I am glad she has not influenced the teachers, who are patient and caring yet administer discipline. They do have a great viewing area for parents and the classes are reasonably priced.

They discriminate against low income families, and people with the disabilities. They removed my…read moregrandchildren from this class because they were low-income, they would send incorrect instructions for photo sessions classes so that he would fail. They are not good people. I would not recommend them to anyone.
