We were just there for a tour for an elderly family member. The sales director Jackie was very friendly and very helpful. Turns out we will not be using their facilities due to a full house but she was a wealth of information and this place had a nice safe feel to it. read more

I want to thank the Cottages at Green Valley for a very positive experience. My Dad came to live there after having a couple of serious orthopedic issues. Unfortunately his issues keep him bed bound for most of his stay there. He was given attention, good care, and experienced kindness every day. I found the same as I visited and was greeted warmly by any staff and by the cottage caretakers. I can't say enough about the relief of knowing that Dad had enjoyed dignified and loving concern, in the White/Daisy Cottage while he was a resident. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to seek out the services available at this location. I thank Jackie, Julie, Tina, Kim, Armando, Lidia, Edna, and numerous others, who I crossed paths with while visiting. I can't say enough good things about all of these caring people. read more

My mom has been at Pacifica at Green Valley for almost a month. She is 89 and still physically pretty good just no short term memory at all. With her own room and bathroom she has the privacy she wants, with the supervision she requires. Able to go out to the beautiful grounds and not worry about getting lost. Just push the button and they come and guide her home. The care givers are great at getting her out to activities and eating her meals. It is so nice she still thinks she is out to eat and needs her wallet to pay. Wonderful you can decorate with their own things to make it really their home. So glad we found them!! Jackie Casillas (Resident Marketing Director) is the worst person to talk to. She is very pushy when trying to make arrangements for loved ones. She also tries to tell you and your family how to arrange the cottage they are paying for as well as being in the resident rooms, unaccompanied, without residents knowledge. She also has taken money from my family member without providing the service the money went towards. Jackie will tell you that Pacifica will move your loved one with no extra charge but, she has her husband come and later charges a fee for him to move items. She is very unprofessional and manipulative. All other employees are amazing and facility is great. 12/3/2019 After posting my previous review and receiving the comment back, I wanted to make it known that I didn't mention any names of my loved one so I find it odd that you know exactly who I am talking about when there were multiple residence that moved in on the same date. I will make it known not to trust you 12/5/2019 Just want to post an update on this situation. After attempting to speak with Pacifica about these issues, all I get is a run around and no communication back. There's plenty of fabulous Senior living facilities around Las Vegas but all should skip this one and let me tell you why. First, let me tell you what I liked about Pacifica Senior Living. I liked the outdoor court. We also like the entertainment director but we do not like it when she isnt there because they are so short-handed and they have to use her to pass out pills to the residents often. I know what everybody's thinking" is the entertainment director qualified to hand out dangerous narcotics/ psych drugs?" Well that's easy to answer. That would be "no" but like she said "she needs a job so she does what she's told." They are extremely short-handed so everybody has to pitch in wherever needed. But hey at least the pills get out to somebody, right? I have heard the residents speak loud and clear unfortunately their voice falls on deaf ears. So let me speak for the ones that wanted to be heard." Pacifica please, our family is paying a lot of money to live here. Paying above the other facilities, please, give us a well-balanced, nutritional hot meal. The food that is being served here is not nutritious, it's not hot, it's lukewarm it's extremely salty and most of the food is covered in hot sauce or another type of sauce. Upon arrival to Pacifica we were promised tailored meals from chefs. And the food is awful. In my Cottage we call it mystery meat. The cook needs to be replaced with a chef. That's what we were told a chef would be preparing the food and that is what we thought we were paying for a chef not a cook. The caregiver said she would not eat 1 TBSP of the food because it's low grade, filled with lard and hot sauce. Now let me say something nice the cake was pretty good; it didn't have to be heated.. so good job Pacifica on dessert. The caregivers or caretakers really need training. Every couple days caregivers leave and new ones come in. Employees do not stay long, not even the older teenagers. You would figure they would want some extra money and stay but they leave too. How long was the facility without a R.N. ?( registered nurse) Three weeks or longer. That goes the same for the executive directors that's a pretty fancy name "executive director" I've seen three new executive directors in six months, Trudy, Susan and now the newest one Kaitlyn. The executive directors drop like flies as well. No consistency. Why do people not want to work here? Is. It that bad? Sure looks like something's wrong. I would like to sum up this very accurate review and say, if they hired qualified people and spent money on them to give the entire staff very basic training, people would feel better about themselves and not be scared of the residents and the Alzheimer's/ Dementia patients. Some of the younger employees run from them when they yell, because they are scared. They get tough with the elderly people, or like one of the reviews stated, the older caretakers like to act tough and be tough. Everybody that works in that facility should have the training to redirect a patient, Comfort the patient, assist the patient with all their needs. Keep the patient bedsore free. That would be a fabulous start if they just had that basic knowledge. People may stick around for more than a few days. Our elderly population living there in their golden years would feel knowing that the staff has the knowledge and experience to attend to their needs. Pacifica Senior Living you have fabulous marketing tools but the facility as a whole gets an F. Now Pacifica owner is going to read this review and attempt to get it removed like they did to mine and other reviewers alike because it's the truth and it could stop new business. We don't care thier opinion of this review, they are not the ones that live there. They just want to collect the rent. We will always continue to keep it real. And we will always continue to speak up and speak loud for the people that cannot. read more

I can't say enough about how lovely Pacifica Green Valley is. We went for a tour of the place and were shown around by Sharon, the Community Relations Director. We felt it was time for my mom to go into an assisted living facility. The place is really beautiful with a very homey feel. Everyone was friendly and seemed very caring. Before going in, we actually met someone whose mom has been a resident there for about a year and she said her mother loves it!! When all was said and done, we felt that we should wait a little longer to uproot mom but when we do, it will definitely be to Pacifica Green Valley! I implore you, if you love your parents, find a better place than Pacifica in Green Valley. My mom has been a resident for 1 1/2 years now. To a visitor it might all appear very nice. But I'm the kind of daughter that visits regularly and often. I see what really goes on and how the residents are treated. My mom had expensive jewelry stolen from her room twice last Fall. I was assured by the Director that an investigation was underway. No explanation of how it was being investigated or any word on the outcome was ever offered. I was just expected to drop the subject. Just recently, one of the caregivers attempted to steal my purse out of my mother's room. The caregiver was either feeling scared or guilty when she led the Director, crying, to where she had hidden it. When I expressed concern that this caregiver was a thief and should be dealt with, the Director said the caregivers were good workers and she was not going to accuse them of anything. When I insisted she deal with this problem, the Director also gave me the same, there will be an "investigation" spiel. A few days later, I asked the Director how the "investigation" was going. She said she had mentioned the problem at the staff meeting. That was the extent of the effort she was willing to put forth. When I said she needed to deal with the person who stole my purse, the Director laughed at me and said, "No one stole your purse--you have it back." And now the caregiver in question continues to work at Pacifica in my mom's cottage. Other problems: since the beginning, communication among supervisors, health care providers, staff, and families has been poor. Even after families at a town hall-type meeting agreed this was a big problem, nothing has changed. My mom was supposed to be on a pureed diet. I walked after dinner time and my mom was sitting alone at the table with a plate of ice-cold food sitting in front of her--not pureed. Three caregivers were busy doing other things. When they saw me one was quick to say she had tried to get my mom to eat. When I told her my mom was supposed to on a pureed diet, she and the other caregivers said they didn't know, and that no pureed food had come from the kitchen. This is just one of many, many, many examples of the total lack of communication at Pacifica. Before my mom was on the pureed diet, I was constantly expressing my concern about the food. My mom, and all of the elderly residents need fiber. Often, what was considered the "vegetable" on the plate, was a dollop of sauerkraut that came with a bratwurst, or the side of potato salad. The cooking staff really need a lesson on nutrition at Pacifica. Elderly people need more fresh, lightly steamed vegetables, and less canned vegetables and sauces. A lesser problem is lack of care for my mom's belongings. The wheel chair my mom had bought and paid for was lost--put outside in the sun to dry and never seen again. Items have been broken and lost. There is never an apology or explanation. You are expected to just drop the subject. The way laundry is handled shows the same lack of concern. All clothes are washed together with a harsh detergent. Then they are hung sloppily on the hangers in the closet. My mom had several bras, socks, and blouses, and pants ruined by the careless treatment of her clothes. Some were brand new. Often, I find clothes belonging to the other residents in my mom's closet. This makes me wonder what clothes of my mom's are hanging in other people's closets. Why haven't I moved her, you may be thinking? Because we also had problems at Sunrise on Horizon Ridge. These two properties are considered to be among the best of the assisted care communities. Also, moving is very hard on my mom, who suffers from Parkinson's and dementia. But, when it's your mom or dad, and they are paying almost $6,000 per month (which my mom does), you tend to expect better. It is extremely disappointing. read more

I have to say that this place far surpassed the competition. It was so over the top obvious that this place carried a level of dedication and professionalism that has been removed from the other tours we visited. Called Friday early afternoon to see if we could set up a tour and spoke to Melissa who conducts the tours. She said she could not see us on Friday since she was moving someone in. We inquired if we could come tomorrow around 1:30pm she said she would see us then. Arrived on Saturday to be told Melissa is off on Saturdays. We then inquired if anyone could give us a tour and were curtly told no. Ok. Thank you for inconveniencing us and showing us what attention to detail and care you would have provided. The kicker was as we were driving off they have a sign in front stating "Tour Today". Made our decision so easy. No thank you Pacifica Green Valley. read more

I have visited all the senior living communities in the Las Vegas area and Pacifica Senior Living Green Valley is hands down my favorite. The unique cottage style concept is warm and inviting. The staff are always interacting with the residents and are friendly and welcoming. I would feel very comfortable with having my loved one living here. read more

--5 Stars AWFUL PLACE!! Had to warn you all about this one. I visted my Aunt at Pacifica Green Valley. What a let down. Their marketing is pretty fancy they claim they have individual plan for each patient that has Dementia/ Alzheimer's quality caregivers, and trained professionals, and most importantly, satisfied residents.Lots of entertainment all day for them Tailored meal plans etc etc,,that is all NOT TRUE. What they do have is a massive employee turn over. They Have Activities But The Residents IN The Memory Care Units Are NOT Invited Because They Are to Much Work to get the resident there and then they want to come back right away as one caretaker told me or she actually said she was a med-tech. There is absolutely no tailored meal plan for any individual resident, as Pacifica claims on their website. They eat the exact same as every other person in that facility. The food is horrendous the night I was there they ate pasta and a piece of bologna. The caretakers make $9.50 an hour. The med-tech makes $10 an hour when I asked the Med tech about the medication she couldn't even pronounce the name of the medication and I couldn't even understand what she was saying she had no clue what it was. Over the two days I was there I spoke with 3 different caretakers all three of them told me that OSHA would close that place down in a New York second. Not one single person has any kind-of training with Dementia or Alzheimer's patients not one. There is one RN on property and staff says she is miserable and hates her job and complains all day long about the "needy" old residents. I asked to speak to her because I wanted to know where the residents could get drinking water, my Aunt has money but no family close to ascertain drinking water. The RN was not available, the caretaker said she never is all she does is eat and stay clear of the cottages and has the Med Tech do all her work. The caregiver did tell me that they get a chest Full Of Ice And as the ice melts the residence are able to drink that water isn't that water unfiltered and nasty I said? She rolled her shoulders back and said I don't drink it. It definitely is true you get what you pay for most of the caregivers are lazy and low information they could care less about our loved ones you get what you pay for. It's frightening what the future holds if this is what is happening now 2 our elderly people. In the next 20 years there are going to be so many more people that need assistance where do we go including me I am in my fifties? My aunt did tell me at night time she is scared and she is scared to walk out of her room because she might get yelled at to go back and lay down. God forbid if one of those caretakers had to change a diaper or get off the couch and work. The real kicker was is there was a big heavy white woman standing outside smoking a cigarette talking on her cell phone like a truck driver complaining about other lazy employees. The caregiver ended up closing the window so the smoke did not saturate the cottage it was disgusting,, she said that woman is always out there smoking and talking on her cell phone loud and obnoxious instead of selling rooms like she's supposed to I wish I would have caught her name but I didn't the caretaker didn't know her name either because she has only been there a week herself. There are absolutely zero cameras in any of the Cottages I was told I know there were no cameras in the cottage I was in because I searched. So what happens inside those walls with residents and the caregivers that can't remember 2 minutes ago is frightening. Everybody in the cottages are completely defenseless all in diapers and I did not see any of them changed out either including my aunt besides when I helped her. Remember this review you good people that took the time to read this review you must really care. Go find a nice place interview the staff private, talk to the residents and look at the reviews most importantly. We are going to take my aunt out of there over spring break and find her a real legitimate skilled Nursing Facility and it will be nothing like Pacifica. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. We took a tour of the facilities and all I could think of was how can we get these people out of there. The cottacges were shabby dark and depressing and the people we saw looked absolutely miserable. They were serving lunch when we toured and it was basically you get what they serve. No choices. I won't even go into the decor on the cottages, must have been a great sale at good will. My heart broke touring the facility and we had to leave. My Mom asked where she could throw up aftgeer we left. No joke. That bad. The only reason I can even think of as to why they even have residents is because the residents kids must live out of state and have never seen it. Never in a gazillion years would I EVER leave my mom there to rot. Sorry, I felt very bad for every single resident that we saw. Shame on their kids for not researching and doing better. I'm not a vindictive person but, this is a review from over 3 years of exspierience mother living at Pacifica. I thought this was the last move for my mother. The current management has than attitude and doesn't fallow through Aaron W Director of perations, Kaitlin P. Executive director and community relations/sales Mellisa. Do not move your loved one to any of the properties that are owned by this corporation. I moved my Mother from The Palms (Siena Hills) assisted living to Pacifica Green Valley for more care as her care level had changed. Pacifica offered Transitional Memory care. She was there from Sept. 2015 - June 2017. It was not always perfect but, under the director Trudy A. any problem was quickly remedied. Trudy walked the property and knew most if not all residents. Biggest issue was the nurse Denise L. I can't tell you how many times Mom's meds orders were misinterpreted. Trudy left Pacifica and we went through 2 executive directors. The last was Kaitlin P. She is the current director. Ah, well. Kaitlin ( corporation) had made changes to the care plans as she implemented a change without notifying family. My Mothers unit was changed to Assisted Living. After a meeting with Arron we were told that the goal was to get residence in the proper unit (cottage) according to individual needs. It never happened. LIES. Arron and Katlin cut the staff and no 24hr care. 11 people in a unit (cottage) 1 caregiver in the day time and at night 2-hour watches. MedTech goes in and out as they disperse meds. 1 resident has Parkinson in a wheel chair, 2 residence had Alzheimer and on had such bad SunDowner dementia in a wheelchair would get out of cottage all the time. My Mom would get up to use the bathroom and she is a fall risk. Same as many other residences. And they change it to assisted Living. I met with the directors to have some kind of resolution with mom not being in assisted living and how I was paying for memory care and receiving assisted living care. I did go there at 2 am a few time to see for my self and Mom was in her chair in soiled nightgown. Arron told me that my Mother needed Skilled Nursing or Hospice Care. And that old people sleep at night. They tell everyone to go get Hospice care so that they can understaff. Pacifica has not had a nurse on staff since late March early April. Then Nichole L. (nurse) ... She used my identity on the reviews, used my story and gave herself a good review and a terrible review to the director at that time. When directors new this no one said anything. A staff member came to me and asked me if I wrote the review. I would go to visit my Mom 3 times a week or more. After they change the cottage toasdisted living I went ther everyday. Sometime 2x'sa day. So I did see a lot of how the level of care changed. They all (managment) lie to you and then the cooperation tried to raise rent up 900.00 dollars the last Month we were there which brought the monthly fees over 6000.00. Kaitlin & Mellisa sell the cottages as Memory care, transitional memory care or assisted living what ever meets there needs at the time. They lie to your face and blow you off with out a thought. The staff was so upset that some good caregivers had left. Then the just hire bodies they stay long due to the treatment of the employees from the management. There is also staff that care about the residence. There are wonderful people there that are not valued. The people that are running Pacifica only care about money$$$$$$$$$$$ When I was thinking bout moving my Mother I asked Kaitlin for a few minutes and he said "I don't have any time for you" and sat in her office This is not behavior of a person with integrity read more

While this facility does a fabulous job of marketing themselves to potential residents, if your loved one has dementia, run away as fast as you can. They have no knowledge of this affliction nor are they skilled in providing care. In fact, they are abusive and negligent. Dementia is not a psychiatric illness; yet the Cottages of Green Valley advocate the administration of psychiatric medications to their demented residents. Many of the medications administered, have ADA black box warnings advising their danger in patients with dementia. There is no consistency of staff or care rendered and I found the staff to be generally dishonest but well-versed in their scripted responses. If you truly care about your loved one, DO NOT place them here. read more

Me and my Brother toured this community for our Mother before we brought her in. When we entered the building we were greeted by the very friendly receptionist, and everyone there after. The Executive Director was very warm and welcoming and took the time to speak with us. The community was very clean and quite beautiful. We loved the idea of individual cottages. The Chef came out to greet us and share his menu with us, and asked several questions about our Mom's likes and dislikes. He was extremely nice and helpful. He invited us back for lunch with our Mom and we will now bring her in for her to have the final say, but we loved this community. read more

My mother has been in several assisted living facilities in Henderson. Overall, the staff and support at the Cottages is far better than any other facility I have seen. I am so glad to have found them. Other facilities may look nicer, and have a better marketing program, but the staff and services at the Cottages deliver what they say. read more

My father lived here for several years. I do believe that the cottage concept is a good one. I liked the idea that there was consistency, especially since most residents have memory issues. This way, he got consistent care with the same caregivers, got to know and feel comfortable with his cottage-mates, and had 24-hour care. A few of the caregivers were superb. My father seemed generally content; his biggest complaint was the food, and I have to agree - it was mediocre and usually served lukewarm-to-cold. HOWEVER, over time, I noticed a lot of employee turnover, and with that, the quality of care greatly diminished. But the lowest point for me regarding Pacifica was the last 24 hours of his life. He did not get the care or the dignity that he deserved, and unfortunately, that left me with a lasting impression of a general lack of compassion. I was upset enough that I reached out to corporate management, as I felt they would want to know what happened, and they never even acknowledged my feedback. read more
