Also they offer a check and send service for passports and, if they know you, can witness your passport as well. The Post Office is currently open 6 days a week (half days weds and sat). Also sells general items including stationery, toys and gifts. Offers a christmas club where you can order items and pay on a weekly basis.

Whittlesey post office is situated inside costcutters in whittlesey town centre…read more The post office is quite a large one as it is the only one in whittlesey and it does everything you need from a post office ie: stamps, posting mail, paying bills, insurance, taking money out of the bank etc etc. I use the post office regularly as I hope it is going to stay open unlike some of the post offices in peterborough, the staff are lovely there, you are always greeted with a smile. I like the fact it is inside the costcutters store as you can kill two birds with one stone so to speek, the only trouble is that as it is such a busy post office you have to be prepared to wait at times in the queue especially at certain times of the year. I used to work in a post office and I think they do a great job,as far as post offices go this is one of the better ones and hopefully I will get to use it for a good few years yet, They provide a good service.

As the Post Office is situated within the newsagents there are many other general bits you can buy there, such as sweets, papers and small gifts. The Post Office itself offers the usual postage services, although as it is not a main post office you are not able to tax your car here. There is local parking available via an adjacent large car park and access to the shops is via a slope or steps, making disabled or buggy access to the front of the shops possible and very easy.

Smaller post office that is far less crowded and far faster than the main one on St Andrew St…read more Staff are helpful and knowledgable. Really efficient and much more pleasant. No self service machines just real people who are friendly and happy to help with questions and even with prepaid returns. Note that it's in the back of a convenience store, so can be missed, but seriously much less chaotic and worth the walk to avoid the long lines over on St Andrews. There is also a great ATM on the outside of the shop that doesn't breakdown half as often as the ones on the main tourist path.

The post office may be small but it does everything you want a post office to do, it offers all the usual services that bigger post offices offer, but with a more personal and friendly touch. The news agents at the front is also small but has a good range of magazines,papers and confectionery at a reasonable price. Spied some small sandwich and snack items. Candy, ice cream and dozens of other little items you might need at home or your travels. When I needed some explication or a statement repeated, the cashier was accommodating. Bought a birthday card. Filled it out and mailed it. This place might be small, but you'll feel welcome. When you walk in there is a good stocked store and worth abrowse if you have the time. There is often a queue and I find 2 pm to be the quietest time to visit. You can do everything at this post office and theres usually at least two windows open. The staff are friendly and very helpful from posting off your ebay parcels, paying your bills to buying your car tax. Lets hope this post office is one to stay!
