I placed an order with Jo-Ann on line. I was told I would have tracking. I ordered three items…read more Each item was send separately. I only received tracking for the first two items. The last one took over a week to arrive. I reached out a couple times to customer service and they kept saying there was no tracking at this time. I was not able to use the mobile application. It didn't even show I ordered anything. I finally received the third item over a week later. Then customer service emailed me, said the item was delivered. So sad I had to deal with this. Then I found a lower price on line, I went in the store to see if they price match and was told NO. I said then I'll return it. She then send there was a restocking fee. What a joke. I then reached back out to customer service and no response yet. So that's why I'm writing this review. It won't do any good because they don't care about their customers. Would I shop there again???? Probably NOT!!!!

JO-ANN FABRIC store.... SO have been waiting for today to come around, this store was having a 50%…read moreoff sale on their clearance items. I went in last Saturday thinking it was last weekend by mistake, and had been in the week before. That said, my mom and I have been waiting for this sale for the last two weeks. We get there today, all excited and ready to rock out their sale department... TURNS OUT they marked all their clearance items up so they were even MORE expensive than BEFORE the sale. I asked the store manager about it (since obviously I was upset about this) and she then proceeds to LIE TO ME and say that they didn't change any of their prices. I told her that I had written prices down and this and that, she then accused ME of lying to HER!!! This is the store manager of the Portage Indiana Jo-Ann Fabrics store.At that point I was super upset, I also was told last week by an employee that they honored other places advertisements. INCLUDING Hancock Fabrics, then find out today that they only honor COUPONS, not ads. Which was a really huge inconvenience. The nearest Hancock Fabric store is an hour away from here. NEEDED to go though because their patterns were only 99 cents a piece. ANYWAYS though, upon leaving the store, I asked the cashier at Jo-anns what their store number was. The store manager comes up, actually yelling at me! Then changes her story around to how corporate made them change "a few" of the prices. I will NEVER be shopping at this store again and I highly discourage anyone else from shopping there also. They changed their prices to TRICK customers into thinking they were getting a good deal. Some fabrics were 3-6 bucks last week, and now this week were marked up to 9-12 bucks. Purely because they didn't want to lose that money and don't respect their customers.To top everything off, I then decided to call another store. I asked the woman that answered there if they had changed their prices on their clearance items. I commend her for her honesty, really I do. She told me that "It came down from corporate to raise the prices on all of their red tag items". SO there you have it, this will also be going to the better business bureau.

This fabric store sells a lot of dated old fabrics. They had a very limited selection of things…read more They had a decent mesh wall with a but a lot of the stuff in there was old. It smelt like mothballs in there. You have to wash your fabric immediately once you get it because it stinks in there. All the styles of fabric were dusty and tough. Everything was overpriced and you are limited to an outdated selection of textiles and prints! The service was bad. Everybody has an attitude. I will never be back. Things have changed drastically at this store and it is not worth the hype.

No point ever going anywhere else for my fabric and trim needs. Got my curtains, upholstery, and throw pillow fabrics all for about fifty dollars. TDO is an amazing place for decorators, quilters, and costumers. I don't know for certain, but I think the inventory has to be mostly mill ends, or the prices could never be this low. So don't expect the very newest fashions, but do expect good value for your projects.

The newly-built store opened in April 2025 and is a combination fabric store and Amish general store. The aisles are wide, the lighting is excellent, the inventory is updated and very well organized, the prices are very good, the store is spotlessly clean, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The fabric section has an expanded selection of quilting fabrics. Cash or checks only.

It was my first time going after I left that one fabric store in pilsen. I was very surprised. It smells good in the store and everything appears to be clean. Their prices are a bit pricey but they did have some fabrics on sale. I got the chiffon I ended up getting 4 yards and it came out to $26 total. The staff does not speak English and the man that was cutting my chiffon cut a tiny slit then ripped it all the way down. Making the fabric lopsided. That was disturbing. My experience was ok. If Joanns was still open I'd be there but since they're closed this is the next best.
