What a fantastic place for your child. We had another local nursery to view and Little Acorns was…read morethe first place we visited. We didn't have to look no further. They were professional from our first contact, arranging a visit and as soon as we walked in both my son (single father to his son) and myself (Grandmother where I am his mothering figure) both said 'YES'. My Grandson loves that place. He has some additional needs and Little Acorns supported and quickly made the necessary referrals for our boy. He is sadly moving on to a school nursery in September. However, will be back in the School Holidays. Pure gem of a place and you will not be disappointed. THANKS TO ALL AT LITTLE ACORNS

He learned so much here and made lovely friends and absolutely loved all the teachers, We were both in tears when we left! I literally can't recommend this nursery & pre-school enough! Your children will be loved and looked after but also with fantastic structure and support.

My son started here when he was 2 and within the space of 3 months he began to forms sentences and learnt to share. His key worker would always tell me how he was doing and what he did in the day. The play school was always clean and had different toys for the children to play with. I am really happy my son had a great start to his education, he even asked to come to school on the weekend!!

They had a really good ofsted report and I also liked where they were based. My little one did enjoy the preschool a fair bit but somehow I feel that the preschool was not adequate enough. They do have a range of activites but after a while my little was bored and did not like going. In the beginning the staff were quite attentive but somehow they seem to have slackened and the drive to encourage children was diminishing. After two terms I was glad that my little one would leave because she was not very happy there.

My wife and I were really concerned about starting to put my little 1.5-years-old daughter (Kiana)…read moreto nursery. Not only because she was our only child, but also because she had not started talking and we couldn't be assured that we understood her feelings and needs. However, the manager and staff at the Rydevale Day Nursery helped us very much during transition to the new situation. They offered us gradual and supervised exposure of our little daughter to her new environment by starting to accept her for an hour or two a day, with my wife present. Then, they asked us to leave Kiana alone there for an hour or two to see her reactions. Then, after a few days, we just headed off for the whole days and Kiana became happy with her new life. Rydevale Day Nursery's staff were kind, polite and cooperative. My wife and I were both at ease with different requests and requirements that we had for Kiana, especially when it came to her health and safety. We met parents before finally deciding to start at this nursery and we met many others during the stay. Surprisingly, all parents were happy with the care and services provided by the manager and staff for their children. My wife and I insisting on the fact that for the manager of Rydevale Day Nursery, providing good care and having relationship with children comes as the first priorities. We met many parents that they believed so and we were all in agreement that financial and monetary aspects of care at Rydevale Day Nursery get much lower priorities when we entered and used their services. The most important thing overall is that Kiana felt so happy when she was there. It took her a few days to adapt herself and like the environment; but, just after a few days, we were completely noticing that she likes going there, playing with children, and interacting with staff. It is my pleasure to say thank you messages to Rydevale Day Nursery's manager and staff for all their love and support to Kiana. We miss you all! Love, Kiana

Having now sent two of my children to The Montessori Children's House, I can safely say that it has become a home away from home. It has a warm and cosy environment for the children. All the staff are friendly, approachable and really engage with the children. There is a wide variety of activities and they are very good at communicating your child's progress. Parents' concerns are never ignored, never belittled, always taken seriously and addressed immediately with the utmost professional and sensitive balance of care. The children are so happy at the Montessori and there is a joyful calmness that exudes from the school at the very start in the morning. This has helped my children to develop and flourish before their transition to primary school. From experience, I can say that sending my children to the Montessori was a huge advantage for them as they were able to better fit their primary school curriculum, daily routines and better adapt to their new school right from the start. I would highly recommend it to any parent.
