Wow, what a beautiful park! Tallman Meadow Park is in one of the newer communities on the…read moresouth-eastern side of Parker. Cross streets are Hilltop Road and Canterbury Parkway, across the street from the high school. The fact that this park is newer really shows. All of the landscaping is immaculate, and the grass looks like it belongs on a golf course. I was so surprised to find this gem tucked away out here in the country! Amenities include a large gazebo with picnic tables, two charcoal barbecues, paved jogging trails, and a (mostly flat) grassy field. Additionally there are tons (literally!) of modern playground equipment on wood chips, including slides, swings, and a variety of jungle gyms. One potential negative is that the bathroom facilities appear to be port-a-potty style rather than a permanent structure with running water (I also did not see a drinking fountain anywhere). I did not personally have to visit the facilities during our afternoon here, so I can't speak to how nasty they may or may not be. I didn't hear anyone else comment about them, though, so maybe they're okay!

It's really a great park for kids of any age since there's so much to do. There's huge soccer fields, basketball courts, and a covered seating picnic area. They have portable bathrooms but you can also use the facilities at the rec center when it's open. It's also a lovely area to walk around with nice paved sidewalks and a quiet neighborhood feel. You can enjoy beautiful views of the mountains from this park as well.

The lake has man made water falls around the perimeter and a bridge that goes over the middle of the lake. A nice place to visit and watch the wildlife or just sit back and relax in the beauty of nature.

Today was especially special with 65-degree sunny weather in February, which felt like a gift. The trails were peaceful, the scenery was gorgeous, and we saw so much wildlife throughout our walk. It's one of those spots that always feels like a reset, no matter the time of year. You have access to either side of the park entrance off the main road. There is a crosswalk‍‍ and a beg button to safely cross. Watch out for coyotes in the area too. There are two porta potty clearly marked and camouflaged with the environment. SMART! I walked a few trails and blissfully absorbed the sounds of nature surrounding me. I like the ponds, the native wildlife and natural earth tone paths. One thing for sure is if you are out here for a period of time I would take some kind of bug spray. The mosquitoes were horrible. I also liked the sporadically places rocks, giant tree log, tree trunks and memorial benches place in this park. A soothing, gentle and relaxing atmosphere and area. I'll be back to explore more!
