For the most part, they were good until this Summer 2024.Over time I had noticed that every time my pool was being shocked I was being charged $200. This Summer, I decided after the possibility of not being opened for Memorial weekend that I'd give the chemicals ago myself. I discussed it with my pool guy. There was some unclear remarks about the chemicals. But I told him I would always let him know what I was putting in the pool. I asked him if putting in my own chemicals would help save money and he said it should. On a particular week in June they told me they would be arriving in about 15-20 minutes. I asked him to please not put any chemicals in the pool. He said ok. I had shocked it the day before. When they were there. I watched them from my window putting a lot of chemicals in the pool. I walked outside upset to talk to them. I was clearly disappointed and asked them why they put it in when I asked them not to. They talked about bug spray and all types of things and I was dumbfounded, and they said they could leave if I wanted. I walked away and they left. He text me to call the office. On Monday KIM in the office told me that the guys thought I disrespected them and did not want to return to my house, Ever. This is what upsets me most. Had I been a man walking out and asserting my myself about my request not to put chemicals in the pool, been received differently? I think so. Now on to what I've most recently discovered. There is a valve that controls the flow of water through the drain and skimmer for the pump. This valve can be put on full drain, full skimmer, half-and-half or somewhere in between the two. Best to run a combo of both. The valve handle was broken and remained broken on full drain. Very hard to keep my pool clean when the skimmer is not running. I went to Westerly pool supply and bought a replacement handle. Thank you to them my skimmer is running properly. My skimmer was working property last year as I would go out in between Pool care visits and empty it. Either they broke it last year while closing the pool or this year after our disagreement. I've now hired a different pool company to open and close the pool and because everything I've become quite good at maintaining my own pool properly.

I have called Caribbean clear Agawam Poolman and was surprised to get in so quickly because everybody was saying how they have difficulties setting up appointment open pools . We bought the house in January and our pool wasn't closed. Therefore I knew we're gonna have trouble cleaning out the pool however, I said professionals would help, they came on April 25. Look at the pool check pump filters. Everything was working conditions Jacob one of the crew guy said they seen pools in the worst condition. He did put significant amount of shock other chemicals and left saying that he's gonna be back in a couple days to check it out. Which he did, he had more chemicals said that my chlorinator need to be changed was leaking and I was OK with that. so they charge me $700 but my pool was green. I texted my pool picture to the company and said do you think after $700 your pool should be looking like this(green). Since my balance wasn't paid , Tim who is the owner of the company came in look at my pool ,cleaned my filter say that he's not going to charge me for the visit, but I need to clean my filter much more often. for next 3 days my husband was shocking and cleaning but pool was still green. I went Nanci and bought recommended chemicals Algeciras and Blue to Clear.. We clean our filter every two hours, but my pool still greenish blue with yellow sediment on the bottom and walls. By the way, Tim told me to do that and then he will come and vacuum the pool if this wouldn't work. he also mentioned that they have significant balance that should pay even though my due date was not in the week. came to be due date I went and paid $700. Then I went to the store and then end of the May, his wife told me that they just need to do phosphate treatment, which I paid another $50 for and she will let him know and he will get back to me about finishing cleaning the pool. When first time Jacob came my husband, and I said we wanted to pull Crystal clear with clear wall and the bottom and us that's gonna be after all this done . that evening, Tim's wife sent me a message ,saying that they don't have time to come in and vacuum, and I should contact Rick's pools to help me out to finish their job they got paid for. I feel that I paid them 600$ put chemicals in my pool. I think they have bad business practices. and I call Ricks place who charges 150 in hour to clean pool and 95$ to clean filer that take me 10 min to do. i'm not sure maybe just my experience, but I thought I should share.

He's a local plumber from my town, so I wanted to give a guy like him my business. He did arrive when he had promised. He was friendly, and acted in a professional manner. After looking at what needed to be done, he left saying he'd get back to me with a quote. I waited several days with no word from him, so I called and left a voice mail. He did call me back, saying he didn't normally do a formal quote/proposal. That seemed odd to me. But he promised he'd send me a quote, probably the following day. That was 7 days ago, and still no quote from him, even though I left another voice mail and sent him an email. He hasn't even given me the common courtesy of telling me he's really not interested in doing the job. That would be the PROfessional thing to do at Pro Plumbing. Pro?? Yeah, right! I wouldn't hire him now, even if he finally responded, because he's shown me he can't be trusted to do as he says. Lord knows if he'd ever show up to do the job! I'll never call Pro Plumbing again.

We entered into contract with this company in December of 2018 to install a new roof which included…read morea ridge vent (for ventilation). On the day the new roof was installed we arrived home from work after dark to a dumpster filled with old roofing material and on the top of the pile was quite a few empty beer cans and beer boxes, I knew this was a bad sign so I took photos of this. 3 months later the entire roof leaked because they forgot to put the water and ice barrier down. They also did not install the ridge vent (we questioned this via email and the owners response was he couldn't because of the pitch of the roof which is rediculous, you can put a ridge vent on any roof!) Due to the lack of ventilation it caused black mold in the entire attic. They came to fix it by installing the water/ice barrier material that they forgot to put on in march of 2019 but still did not install a ridge vent which is needed to vent air into the attic. I repeatedly voiced my concerns to the owner about the mold and he emailed me that it wasn't mold, just algae and it would dry up. Its now 14 months later (and we now have become very educated on roof ventilation) after several emails back and fourth to the owner and a final phone call to him which he became extremely belligerent, told me it's not his fault and told me to F off and hung up on me. We now have hired a very expensive mold abatement company and also had to pay a new professional roofing contractor to install a ridge vent which was in my contract with JS&R Roofing. Such a nightmare!!!
