My sister in law and I kinda had a hard time finding this place but we eventually found it. When we first arrived Courage Mitsubishi dealership it wasn't was I would expect. This dealership is small not not many car options. Before we even walked in, the sales person opened the door for us and took us to the waiting area while the car was getting serviced. The waiting area is nothing fancy, just your basic couch, side tables and TV. It people that work here are kinda awkward, they won't speak to you unless they need too. I really wanted to give this dealership the benefit of the doubt, they were very friendly AT FIRST We were in a bind and needed a car ASAP, after looking online we find one at a great price for a 2006 Honda Pilot through their dealership (trust me if its too good to be true, that's because it is) The Sales man told me the car was like new, one owner and perfect! We test drove it and liked it, however we had bad credit and my mother offered to cosign from a different state...of course they had no problems with that, however it was less than a normal transaction, they fudged the information provided on the credit report to try and get us as cosigners and told us they would only check with 3 creditors, however we had gotten 5-6 decline letters in the mail...they said they could only do it in my moms name and we agreed since we needed the car, our first mistake! After 2 days the AC unit when out, found out they topped off the freon without actually inspecting the account unit which had not one but 2 leaks which is dangerous since it emits the freon fumes into the car, and we have a toddler...so we had no AC for a couple weeks while it went back and forth to be fixed...there was also a huge lack of communication between the sales men and service department who never had any of my appointments, because they were never told...needless to say they stopped asking us if we loved the car after the second trip back to the service station Now we are dealing with their loan company who is extremely rude! We asked BEFORE signing paperwork if my mother would need to be on the insurance for the loan company since she lived in another state and they said NO, now the loan company is telling us she does and we can't insure her because she lives in another state...oh but they were more than happy to take our first payment, so we are trying to figure out how to fix that mess The nail in the coffin was when I had to call them about our license plate when the temporarily registration expired...I was immediately given an unfriendly hello and an excuse, they had it in their possession the whole time, mind you they moved locations and my husband had to drive out of his way on his lunch to pick them up...he was then given more attitude and after complaining about the problems was told "Well you bought an old car" a MUCH different tune than the one they we singing when they sold us this "Amazing Vehicle" Moral of the story, they will do ANYTHING to make the sale and after they have their end covered you don't matter...if they had properly done the sale, yes we probably wouldn't have been approved for the car and walked away, now we have delt with one headache after the next and they have washed their hands of us, I do not recommend this company, keep looking! read more

BAIT and SWITCH! Do not do business with Cougar Mitsubishi! I feel very bad for the salesman (Aaron), he was a good guy, but he lost a commission because of one of the owners, Bill Council. I went in there and told them that I was doing research on three different cars and that I had one more place to go to to finalize my decision. I really liked the Mitsubishi that I had driven, but wanted to make sure that I was making the right decision with my purchase and thought it was proper of me to go and see the final vehicle before pulling the trigger on the Outlander I was looking at. I was gone about 45 minutes and decided to head back to Cougar to purchase the car. I called the salesman (Aaron) and told him of my intentions, and asked if we could do the deal the next day because it was getting late. He said that the deal they had offered me was only good for that day, so I went back to pen the deal. When I got back there and started in on the paperwork, their 'owner' (Bill Council) came to me and said that the vehicle would cost $1000 more than what was quoted. He said that the deal they had given me before was the 'before deal, and this is the now deal'. He said that because I walked out of their store, the deal was off the table - which was a lie because the salesman told me himself that it was good for the rest of the day, and I was also never informed of the deal changing if I walked out of the store. Bill was rude, obstinate, and incredibly lacking in any kind of customer service. He is a liar. I didn't argue very long before I walked out...along with my money. I've read a couple of other reports about them, and it seems that this might be their MO. They get you into something you like, and then change the deal to their betterment throughout the process. Had he come to me and said that he had made a mistake, or that he was very sorry that there was a miscommunication, I could have, and most likely would have paid the extra $1000 for the vehicle. But he didn't - he was rude and made sure that I knew that he didn't care about me and that he didn't have any integrity. I own businesses and understand that everyone needs to make money, but not like this and not in this devious manner. DO NOT do business with them. We bought a car here a couple months back, it was by far the worst experience you could I ever expect. Let me also tell you that I have sold cars and know more than most as far a what to expect from a car buying experience. On multiple occasions during the purchasing process we were promised something and had that recanted on. Truth be told we should have walked but the price we were receiving on the car was too good to pass up. We were promised that they would put ski racks on, and then told they couldn't halfway thru signing paperwork on our deal, we were told that the paperwork fee was one rate and then found out it was much more while sitting in the F&I office, we were told that we could use the refund on the purchased extended warranty from our previous vehicle as a down payment, and then told that we could not. The experience was awful and was much too chaotic and lengthy to explain in a single review all that went terribly wrong. Cougar Mitsubishi recently switched hands from Chuck Barber, all of the employees we dealt with from the old ownership group were amazing, Swan our salesmen and Trent the service manager but former Sales manager both personally deserve 5 stars. But Nik the new car manager was awful, and did not deal with us in an appropriate way at all. I would not return to this dealership to do business, they are the sterotype of shady car dealership. I let you decide whether or not this is the type of exchange you want to have with a car salesman. I inquired via text about a truck listed on KSL(local online classified) with 1 mile. Obviously not accurate. Many of the trucks listed +/- $1k had under or around 200k miles. You be the judge. Full exchange below, no edits. CM-Good Morning, My name is Rich Birdzell. How can I help? ME- I would like to know the actual mileage on the 04 Duramax? CM- 398000. ME-Yep not interested. And that's totally why you didn't list it. Because nobody would call. Apparently Mr. Birdzell expects you to believe that KSL mistakingly "pulled" the inaccurate mileage for this vehicle. He also expects us the be so "naive" that we are to believe that this wasn't done deliberately so as not to be filtered out of users search queries. He further expects to be so naive that despite the posting being renewed several times that that darn KSL just keeps on getting it wrong and the good and honest folks at Cougar Mitsubishi are powerless to correct this due to the Omni present all powerful super computers at KSL. Step up Rich. You have been called out. Cop to it and fix the damn KSL post. Stop trying to pass the buck to KSL and use your slick forked tongue to weasel out of it. Stop pointing out that it's correct on your website and acting like I'm the DA for not looking there first. If anyone had the time to check every stealership website KSL wouldn't exist. To all the other potential customers out there maybe call ahead and see who the GM on duty is before you head in otherwise you might be belittled for asking naive questions like home many miles the vehicle has. It's almost laughable that other listings can be found for the same vehicle with half the mileage ( I know this because they put it right in the listing) at a better price. Loved Cougar Mistaubishi! They've helped us get out of a bad situation with a car and into a new one. We've bought a second car from them in the last year too. I highly recommend them! Rich and Bud are who we have worked with. They've been respectful and honestly told us if a situation they COULD do would be a smart one and helped us avoid a high interest rate and going upside down on a truck just because it was good looking. These guys are great. It's a no pressure environment and Their service department couldn't be better. Your vehicle even gets a wash after the service, which is a nice touch. When I went in for my last oil change they did some warranty work right on the spot instead of booking another appointment. Best Mitsu dealer in Utah bar none. read more

They do not care for their customers! I bought a 4runner back in January and since I have had nothing but trouble with it. Within a few weeks it needed over $3000 dollars in repairs, when i only had driven it maybe 200 miles. When I confirmed with Cougar Mitsubishi at time of purchase, if they had it inspected for issues, they claimed they did and that nothing was wrong. Some of the damage was pretty obvious, including a sabotaged electrical system that I had to replace. Wires were cut, and they told me it was to remove some accessories that the vehicle had before. Which caused the electric system of the vehicle to degrade and then needed to be replaced by me. The brakes were also bad at time of purchase. To the point that they were grinding into the rotor and i had to replace those as well. In short they sold me a vehicle that had no brakes on it. Seems to be a very unsafe practice to sell a hazardous vehicle to unknowing customers. When I contacted the dealer about these issues I was greeted with only hostility and rudeness from them. I have all of the emails saved. I even recorded the phone call that I had with them for anyone who ever tells me they buying from them I will have them listen to the rude and abrasive conversation I had with them. It even included the manager of the dealership. They claimed that because I bought a used vehicle that these issues would be expected. He then proceed to tell me that I should have gotten a warranty with the purchase of the vehicle. I then recalled that they refused to give me a warranty when I was in their facility signing the paperwork. They comped me $400 out of the $3000 dollars in damage. Since then I have had to put another $2000 in repairs from general use of the vehicle. Overall a terrible experience and would never recommend it to anyone. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! read more

This was one of the worst experiences for buying a car that I have ever had. The car looked like it had just finished a rally event in a mudpit. There was someone else's sunglasses in the driver visor, and mud all over the floor mats. To top it off we had agreed on a price over the phone but that was conveniently overlooked and I wasn't allowed to talk to the manager I negotiated with, instead it was a passive-aggressive salesman who knew nothing about the car. They then proceeded to tell me that a dealership was looking to buy it at the exact same price I was asking in an attempt to drive the price up. They wanted nearly $3000 more than the price we negotiated on the phone. read more
